So I'm looking to upgrade my SONOS ARC to the new ARC Ultra, Upon lookin on @Sonos website , they have a new mount for the Arc Ultra that's a tad different than the Arc Mount.

 

The Arc Soundbar Specs under Mounting say

"Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket"

 

The Arc Ultra Soundbar Specs Under Mounting Say

"M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm"

 

I have the TV mount with the Arc Soundbar mount that Sonos sells on their website

the "Sanus Extendable Soundbar TV Mount Designed for Sonos Arc" 

 

Will this be compatible with the Arc Ultra?

 

Also

What is the difference between the "Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket" and the "M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm" ?

 

If its compatible and will work, I notice that yes the Arc Ultra is a little lighter than the Orignial Arc, but with the extra width would it cause a problem? 

 

I suggest you use the Sonos Sales chat option.

Iv emailed Sonos , and Sanus, both said it would mount but if the mounting system is the same , why would Sonos release a whole new mount for the Arc Ultra, not to mention the mounting specs on each soundbar page is different ….

A very common question for so many issues.

It might be psychedelics use. :-)

Nice video, my quick take on it:

he Arc Ultra will mount to the Arc mount BUT it will be too long and stick out past the Ultra's mounting plate AND the magnet will be in the wrong place so the mount may not be detected.

Personally I'd change to the new mount.

Yeah I think it would work but it would stick out I did notice for that  Sanus Extendable Soundbar TV Mount Designed for Sonos Arc On Best Buy website now says for ARC & ARC ULTRA, So I may be good .  I bought my A95L TV with the ARC system and paid Best Buy  $169 for soundbar installation and $259 for tv mounting if I had to get a new mount for the ARC ultra I’d think I’d have to pay for them to take the tv down and install the new mount part and then put the ARC ultra on. But I think the Sanus Extendable Soundbar TV Mount will work.   I’ll keep this thread open , all of Best Buy schudule times are booked for the next 3-4 weekends , plus I still need to order my arc ultra but praying it works fine even with the extra sticking out
