I have an old player that I used to connect to my router via a Sonos bridge. This now does not work as it causes my internet to drop really low with the new bt router I have. What is the cheapest way to connect the playbar so I can play music on it. It is connected to my Sony Bravia TV.

My daughter recieved the Roam about 4 years ago and has never been able to get it set up.  I recently began trying again to see if I could do it.  It has been recognized by the system and Wifi has been connected but it will not allow me to register the device.  I would like to at least be able to use it as a blue tooth speaker but understand that can’t be done unless the device is registered.I don’t understand why this has to be so complicated with all the personal information required and the many steps needed.  I see instructions to reboot my router, turn the device on and off holding the button until the second tone…, and finally, to sign out of the app and back in.  All I want to do is use the speaker with Blue tooth.  This seems like a very touchy system for something that has been around for a number of years and for a speaker that is not inexpensive.  Why do I need a SONOS app to play music from Alexa or apple music?  I can do this through bluetooth from my phone or Alexa device

Yesterday I opened my Sonos app (S 2) on my iPhone to play some music.Instead of the normal screen, I had a message to the effect that “an update is required before app is usable.”I have automatic updates turned off in system settings, and prefer to manually update to a new version in case of bug(s) being discovered, etc..  I have never seen a message like this before, and would prefer to not be forced to update.I am now updated to S2 16.5.1 (build 82360160).Please advise as to (1) why this happened and (2)  how or if  I can avoid being forced to update in the future.

Hi all,Wondering if someone can help with this.  I’ve a Sonos Arc Ultra connected to LG G4 OLED TV via HDMI ARC.  The sound takes (consistently) 2 minutes to output from the Ultra after turning on the TV.Both the Arc Ultra and LG G4 are running the latest software. Sound > Advanced > Digital Sound Out HDMI Audio set to “Passthrough” Sound > Advanced > “ERC support” set to “enabled” Sound > Advanced > HDMI ARC device Delay set to 0 (though setting to “bypass” does not have an effect). SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) is enabled (required for volume control through TV remove) Behaviour is occurring irrespective of the content e.g. Streaming Apps vs. analogue TV vs. from other HDMI sources (PS5 and Sky). After x2 minutes everything is fine, Sonos App shows the connection at this point.I’ve tried A/B testing with most of the above settings, and even deleted the HDMI profile on the TV and restarted with no luck.Appreciate this maybe an LG issue (“HDMI handshake or similar”), however I’

I have 2 people on the network with their respective Android phones and 2 different sonos accounts logged in on each phone.Both phones are able to add the spotify service in the sonos app and play music from within the sonos app successfully to the speakers.However, only on one phone I'm able to play music from the Spotify app directly, meaning I can select to connect to the speakers in the “Select another device” menu and then it connects successfully. On the second phone I can see the speakers in the Spotify app menu and when selecting it will attempt to connect for 10 seconds but then fail. Both phones are pixel 8. I have tried:Reinstalling Sonos and Spotify appLogging into the same sonos account on the phone that doesn't work Rebooting the router

I have purchased a Sonos Arc, I already have a good pair of in-ceiling hard wired speakers, a set of front Left/Right hard wired speakers and a powered sub.Can I use the Arc for just the Center, add two more Sonos Amps, one for the fronts and one for the rears along with running the powered sub?Or should I return the Sonos Arc and just use two new Sonos Amps with my current hard wired speakers along with the powered sub off one of the amps?

Hi, I am experiencing problems getting sound from my Era 100 when connected via bluetooth. The mobile confirms the connection and the Era 100 comes with an audio signal that confirms the connection, but still no sound from the system. Tried connecting via PC and mobile phone, no sound. Any ideas?Tor-Erik

Tried to reboot Sub. Can’t connect when asked to press. Tried LAN still no good. Then went on to pair x2 play 3 and couldn’t connect. Then parts of App stopped working. What’s going on?I am surprised my playbar is working as nothing else is.😔

I use the Sonos alarm feature daily and love it.  Recently I noticed a notification showing up on my iPhone for an alarm that I do not have either in the Sonos app on my phone or via the PC application.  Interestingly no alarm is triggered at the time this alarm is set for.  I just get the notification.  How do locate this alarm and cancel it?   

Why does Sonos make it so difficult to report bugs? It is extremely convoluted involving Chatbots and Phonecalls which always want to ask the most ridiculous questions when all you want to do is alert Sonos of an issue. Surely they can set up a simple bug reporting service similar to Google or Apple?

Sonos not connecting to my 9 years old samsung TV, It has arc hdmi port as well. I have latest sonos app installed in the iphone. I have changed HDMI cables but no change. Is it possible my 9 years old TV is not compitable? 

Hi,I currently have a fairly comprehensive Sonos-based sound system in my apartment with about 6 different speakered rooms. In my living room alongside my Sonos arc and surround Ones, I have an old Zenith record player console. I use it to play old records and occasionally listen to the radio. I believe its possible to wire the console into my Sonos system in such a way that I can play my records throughout the house and use the console as a speaker for spotify streams etc. by using the “Tape” output setting and connecting RCA cables to the sockets on the back of the player, but I’m looking for some guidance on doing this in case there are any drawbacks or potential pitfalls. There is also another “external speaker” output on the back which I’m not sure about. I don’t currently own a Sonos Amp or Port (I’m not sure which I’d need) so I’d want to make sure it would work before I tried one. Alternatively if there was a way to do this that didn’t cost $700 that would be great too. Below a

I have 2 speakers: a Roam 2 and a Roam SL.I successfully added both of them, only to notice that they were set up as 2 different systems. I factory reset my Roam SL, but when trying to add my Roam SL to the same system as my Roam 2, it tells me that I need to update the app, and when I click on the “Update Sonos App” button, it brings me to my browser to a page to update the Beta Controller App.I was a beta tester for the Roam 2 speaker, but I changed phone since then (from Galaxy S22 to a Pixel 9) in case it’s relevant.Could uninstalling the app, and re-install it fix the problem?

I have a Samsung Serif with audio being output via HDMI eARC to a mic mixer. The mixer can take HDMI input and can output HDMI or optical. The SONOS Ray only takes optical input so my current attempt at a karaoke setup is Serif → Mic Mixer via HDMI eARC → SONOS Ray via optical output. This isn’t working and I’m not sure why. This setup worked perfectly with my $70 Onn soundbar.

Directv over internet LG smart tv Genie receiver and remote Alexa and Echo Playbar and one OneSLThese were all installed separately over a period of years.  All software current…no observable or reported hardware problemsLast piece of kit was the Genie remote. After install, it worked just fine...I could adjust the volume of the speakers in the app or by using the volume button on the remote. Then...it just stopped.  Could not adjust the volume with either the remote or the app.  Have had to go back to the tv internal speakers, and that ain’t no fun when you’re watching Apocalypse Now. I have tried everything I can think of...uninstall and reinstall everything and unplug and plug back.  No Love. Any thoughts...anyone? Paul

My wife and friends ask me if I am crazy. I just bought additional Sonos speakers.   Guys let us face reality. You had over seven months to improve the apps and the S2 system. It is still very slow, unstable and unreliable.   examples. volume controls not respondingcannot select all speakerstime to access the app and the music is unacceptablepossible solutions assuming a roll back is totally out of the question please redesign the backend and app from scratch separately (there are also major UX flaws that are so painful I did not mention) hope for the best and you do not go bust in the coming year or two  cheers   . 

I’ve got a Roam and a play 3. They group and work perfectly unless I add Alexa to the Roam. That stops them being able to be grouped. Removing Alexa means they can group again. Is this a thing anyone else has happen? Is there a solution so I can use Alexa? Thanks. ☺️

I have in my Sonos system 1 Sonos Roam, 3 Sonos Play 1, 2 Sonos One Black e 1 Sonos One white. I'm having a problem updating my Sonos One Black (error30). I tried contact by chat and we tried everything (ethernet cable, turning off the router, etc..). We did a factory reset and now I can't add them in my system. It's a firmware problem. I'm from Brazil and I can't complete this call Anyone else having this problem? 

I have a Sonos Arc hooked up to my TV, when I'm playing music and turn the TV on it keeps playing music. The company who installed it used an optical to connect the two and the HDMI for a distributed video system. Is there a way to fix this without having to switch from Optical to HDMI?Thanks for the help.

Hi everyone,I have the Sonos amp and 4 Sonos ceiling speakers in our kitchen. The same amp also runs the Sonos sound bar and 2 One SL speakers in the living room.Every so often when I play playlists through the amp from my Amazon Music the songs stop suddenly after the first 15/20 seconds and move on to another song. At first I thought it was a preview of each song that I needed to turn off in the settings but then I realized that isn't the case. Is extremely frustrating having spent so much money on what you would assume is a quality system for it to be intermittent and ultimately so frustrating I turn it off.Another issue I have is sometimes my two one SL speakers cut out so I lose surround sound half way through a film and then they suddenly start working again off why I opened the app to see what's wrong.Just for context everything is quite close to each other and I have really good full fibre internet speeds and a good WiFi service within the house. Hello teams,I’m wondering to buy 2 ERA 100 for my home.I actually have a Yamaha YAS-207 soundbar (with a Yamaha Subwoofer) connected to my Samsung Smart TV via optical cable.The TV have a wifi connection to my internet box.My questions are: Is it possible to add the 2 Era 100 to this installation in order to simulate a 5.1 Home cinema ?If not (in this case I will sell my yamaha soundbar) , can I use the 2 ERA on my TV in Wi-FI ?
