loss of sound on arc ultra

I have just purchased a new Sony Bravia tv and attached my arc ultra to it. The sound is great until I switch off the tv for maybe 10 mins or more. When I switch the tv back on after this short period, there is no sound coming through on the soundbar. The only way I can resolve it is to switch off the power on my arc ultra and switch back on again which seems to work until the next time.

Redo the TV Setup process in the Sonos app. And make sure TV Autoplay is enabled under the Arc Ultra’s settings.

You can’t just increase the volume to hear sound again when you turn the TV back on?

It sounds like the CEC handshake between the two is having trouble resolving. I’d check both the TV and the Sonos for firmware updates, and apply them. Then I’d re-seat both HDMI cable ends, in the TV and the Sonos, to ensure they’re properly connecting. Finally, I’d reboot both the TV and the Sonos by unplugging them from the wall for two minutes.

Similar issue in this thread when turning off the TV when music was playing. Later in thread it started happening with TV audio too. Their workaround was to use Sonos Voice Control (see last few comments in thread)
