I have the original Sonos Soundbar and a pair of original Play: 1’s and i’m happy with the set up. I also have an original Play: 3. I am considering upgrading to the Sonos Arc Ultra, a Sub and new Era 100’s as I’m purchasing a new Samsung Frame TV in the main living area but I wanted to understand whether a Sonos upgrade is worth it from a sound quality perspective. Any advice appreciated. I was looking at just the Sonos Arc Ultra but i understand the original Play: 1’s might not be compatible with the Arc Ultra. Not sure if thats entirely accurate. Thanks

I am quite happy with my Arc Ultra.

I have tried it with Era 100s and 300s. The 300s were very impressive but didn't fit the spouses plan for the room. The 100s sound pretty good and are much easier to place.

I did add a Sub 4 as we have a large open plan space that needed the additional sound at the low end.

If you can access Atmos content the Arc is going to impress you, to me it is a step up from 5.1 content, even with the 100s at the rear, even better withthe 300s.

I have the original Sonos Soundbar and a pair of original Play: 1’s and i’m happy with the set up.

I bought a Playbar + Sub at exactly the wrong time, about 2 months before the Arc was released. Sonos sales let me return and swap for Arc + Sub.

Although my ears were only listening to the Playbar for 2 months, they did notice a big difference in the sound profile of the Arc + Sub vs Playbar + Sub, and the Arc sounded ‘different’ before it sounded ‘better’

My advise if you do decide to upgrade, is be patient, and let your head/ears adjust to the new sound profile, as I expect if you have had the Playbar for an amount of time, the new Arc Ultra + Sub will initially sound very different to you.

Yes, without any shadow of a doubt, including Dolby Atmos support.

That is all.

Thanks Craigski. I’ll go in and listen to them in the showroom this weekend.
