Have connect my Beam 2 to my Samsung QE55Q90TATXXU via the HDMI ARC socket. The problem I have is that the TV automatically plays through the Beam even if the Sonos app is set to TV auto play off. When changing the audio source to TV speakers it automatically switches back to the Beam which I prefer not have when just watching stand TV programmes. Any idea how to change this. TIA

Your TV is following the instructions in CEC to send the signal out to the HDMI ARC connection to the speaker. You’d need, each time, to turn off either CEC (or its various names) or HDMI ARC on your TV set to stop the signal from being automatically sent to the Sonos device.

Hi Bruce. Thanks for the advice. Have switched off the HDMI CEC and that’s stopped the automatic connection. Good to know I can switch it back on for the ‘blockbuster’ films. Thanks again
