Hi. One of my favorite streams is a listener-supported station called Folk Alley, https://www.folkalley.com/. I have been listening to their stream on TuneIn for quite some time. However, they have recently added a "member stream" for people who have donated money to support their operation. If you listen to the member stream, you do not have to listen to their asking for money during pledge drives. So I made the required contribution. I can get the member stream via their web page, but I emailed Folk Alley and asked them if it is possible for me to listen to that stream using my Sonos One with built-in Alexa. They responded that they have an Alexa skill! I was excited about that, and added the skill. But when I try "Alexa, play Folk Alley" I just get the response "Sorry, I'm having trouble accessing your Folk Alley skill right now." Now I am realizing that this may not be possible, unless Sonos adds the Folk Alley skill to their list of streaming sources in the US. Is thi

My dealer said I can use the rear channel output of my cinema amp to push the rear signal to my Conneect and then to y connect amp , powering my rear speakers... It doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions ??

I am considering the Sonos Connect Amp. How I see the speaker connections include left, right and sub. Can you configure it so that it has front, center, and back channels? If so, how do you do this?

Hi - I’m considering moving from Sky HD to Sky Q. Does anyone know if the remote on Sky Q can be setup to work like the existing remote with the playbar? Ie I can turn up/down the volume currently.

Hi, my first post on here after reading through several conversations about Homepod but not able to find any definitive information. I'm running 3no Connect:Amps which brilliantly control 3rd party speakers throughout the house but I'm also considering the purchase of a Homepod, mainly for use in a couple of spaces which haven't been hardwired, as the allegedly higher quality Homepod does appeal. So here's the question - if I was to choose the Homepod route is the Connect:Amp able to control the Homepod so that it's playing the same as the rest of the speakers? Otherwise I can obviously go with a Sonos One as an alternative but do fancy trying a Homepod as I'm quite invested in Apple stuff already. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I can set an alarm with the sonos app that gives me an option of what music to play however when that alarm goes off I am unable to use Alexa to snooze it. Does Alexa give the option to choose different music streams at this time or is this only available thru the sonos app? If the alarm is set they Alexa on Sonos One it only uses a chime

Generally I think that if there is an option to use wire then this is better than WiFi. With the Sonos Mesh I think the opposite. If I hardwire all my speakers can I still have the flexibility to connect to the mesh? I am setting up my speakers in a weird shaped concrete flat. I could hardwire the lot but then if I got a new speaker for one of the rooms that can’t reach the router would it be able to bounce to the router via the other speakers ? Or would it be put on a limb ? Without the mesh am I going to lose functionality ?

Hi, I have a playbar, 2 x play 1's and a connect/ turntable set up in my house which works fine. I have recently built a gym at the bottom of the garden and would like to set up a new Play 1 but I'm getting nowhere. The gym has it's own router which is hardwired to the house broadband via an underground Ethernet cable. It therefore runs off the same TalkTalk connection but via a different router so I have one network in the house and a separate one in the gym. I first tried to set up the Play 1 in the gym but it wouldn't get past the pressing the play/ volume up buttons together. The light flashes green and then after pressing goes orange and nothing happened. I then resorted to connecting it to the house network but when I plug it back into the gym it is lost from the rooms on my sonos controller. What is confusing me is that whilst in the gym (and connected to the gym wifi) I can still control the Sonos in the house (which are connected to the house network). If this is possib

A quarter of the year nearly over and still no Airplay 2? Anyone know when this is gonna be released on Sonos. Appara it was suppose to be released early 2018 they said when the Sonos One was released back in November?

I'd expected that Sonos would have timed their Australian release to Amazon's but apparently not. No ETA from what I can see either. Has the community found any workarounds?

Greetings - just setup my new Playbase last night and all is well except for one issue. The volume adjustment from my remote requires me to push the up or down button on my remote for every change of level instead of allowing the button to be held down for continuous, flowing changes. I use a Logitech Harmony 900 (in IR mode for the Playbar). Does anybody know if there's a setting for this or is this normal behavior? It's annoying since there's no visual indication of level. Hi I have got a BOSE Companion 5 that i am trying to add to my setup via a Connect. I am connecting the 2 via the Audio out on the connect into the auxillary input on the Bose (this is located on the sound module Puck) I thought this would be a simple exercise but i am finding that i am only getting the faintest sound out of the speakers with no Bass at all. My current setup includes a number of Play 1s throughout the house plus a B&W Zepellin attached to a second connect which also links to my Rega Turntable. any ideas as to how i can get this to work ?

How do I reset the Controller back to English Language? I'm not able to navigate through the menu since I do not understand any of the menu text...

Hi all, A client of mine has multiple Sonos speakers throughout his house all connected with AMP's to a main amplifier. The AMP's where all connected through WiFi. A problem occurs after listening to music for some time, where the audio starts to play with a small delay in different rooms. Im guessing this is because the AMP's are connecting to different Unifi AP's as the house is quiet big (small lag). No is there a possibility to connect all these AMP's to 1 Unifi AP-AC-Pro's secondary port, as they are situated next to each other. He already tried this himself (connected a switch to the secondary port of the Unifi and linked all the AMP's). Result: no music. Im reading about network loops etc. Problems. Im going there tomorrow to fix things and so far i've come to the conclusion that I need to disable the WiFi on all the Sonos products to get them to work wired. Anyone got any tips for me? Cheers

This question never came up in years of use but now it has (long story). Does it output in some uniform format, or does it output in whatever format the digital input was in, e.g. if mp3 then mp3, if flac then flac, etc.? I'm considering a headphone amp-+ DAC that may not accept flac. (Guess it wasn't such a long story.)

update to 8.5.1 Did an update on my windows 10, Samsung Galaxy tab S2 and Samsung Galaxy phone S8 today... almost... Phone says its not compatible. Anyone else have a problem? is this specifically a Galaxy S8 issue, or are other phones also incompatible?

We've determined there to be an issue with Dolby Digital playback devices (including the Sonos PLAYBAR) and Samsung televisions in the JS and JU series. An example of a TV model number of this line would be the Samsung UN55[b]JS[/b]8500. The optical output from these televisions doesn't pass a consistent signal to devices wired in through that connection. This could present when you're watching any Dolby Digital content through the TV's optical connection. As a workaround if you're using one of these TVs, you can set the output of the TV to PCM (Stereo). There isn't any issue currently with that TV streaming stereo content to the PLAYBAR through the optical. Otherwise, you can look into using a different device. I purchased a sound bar and wired it to my tv and connected it to the connect amp with speakers to create surround sound. After 24 hours the sound bar broke. The good folks at Sonos sent me a replacement, I reinstalled it but now I cant get audio from rear speakers. Please help me, how do I connect the connect amp speakers to my new sound bar?

I've recently purchased a Playbar, Sub and 2 x Play 1's. I am using an LG 55EF9500 TV and a Logitech Harmony Elite remote. I originally setup the remote using IR to directly control the Playbar, as if it were a standard TV remote. Sound went up and down just fine. The Playbar blinked it's light each time so you had some sense of it receiving the signal (which I liked) but the LG TV gave out an annoying message. Since then, I've added the Sonos Playbar as a device to my Logitech Harmony Elite remote. I guess this means that it's now being controlled by my hub over wifi. No more annoying TV messages when sound goes up and down (which is good), but also no more blinking light on the Playbar, which I miss. Is there a way to bring back the functionality to the Playbar indicating it's receiving volume up/down or do I have to give that up? I've had a read of some of the Logitech Harmony posts and articles, but can't seem to find info on this. Maybe I just need to get used to kn

I can't get Alexa and Sonos to sync up. I bought the new Sonos one and tried going through the setup. Alexa says hello on the Sonos but when I say discover my devices I get "I can't find any devices - go to the alexa app and enable that skill. I do that and then click add device (all my other stuff is in the app) but no joy, very frustrating. I ran a diagnostic report (8053297)

I can play my spotify playlist through Sonos ok. But when I want to add a new song to the playlist, I can't because the add option is greyed out. Anyone know how to do this?

Hi I have a playbar and two 3’s set up for surround sound. Had them working with great sound last week. Been away for the week and come back to only sound from the playbar and a faint hissing from the 3’s. Have looked at the sonos advice and nothing is relevant. Any ideas? Very frustrating and missing the sound
