I have a connect amp powering two smallish Yamaha stereo pool speakers. The problem is they are about 20ft apart and it gets rather annoying when some tracks have certain audio parts mixed to only play out of the left channel speaker or only the right. If i bridge the wires at the back of the amp to send both L and R signals to both speakers (effectively driving them as mono) will it destroy the amp/speakers?

With the new release lock-screen control on Apple devices doesn't work any more. :?:(:( Apparently, this is an improvement. Maybe it is if you have any Airplay 2 devices. Well, i Don't that's why i bought SONOS. This was one of the better features for me on the SONOS system. Can anybody explain to me why this is changed! How can i get it working again? Can i revert back tot SONOS app 8.6? The instruction I've found so far do not help me out.:( Thanks for any help on this issue!

Is it possible to change settings for the SUB based on the source or input. For example I find the setting for the SUB while playing music is too much while just watching TV. It appears that as the TV as the source the sound is too booming. I would like to turn the SUB down and turn off the Loudness setting I do use a Playbase for TV Sound. Will setting up with Trueplay make a difference? I have an Android phone so will have to borrow an iPhone.

So I just got a Sonos beam 5.1 system (with 2 play 1's, 1 sub and the beam). I connected the the sound system to the ARC port of my sharp smart TV (roku). I get 5.1 surround sound on shows on the Netflix app as expected. Now I'm trying to get sound out of my HTPC with an NVIDIA 1070. Right now my PC is connected to an HDMI port on my smart TV but the sound is coming out of the TV speakers instead of the Sonos system, when I revert back to the Netflix app I get the 5.1 surround sound again.

The first instruction for setting this up says: "Wire both the Sonos home theater speaker and Connect:Amp to either your router, a single network switch, or to each other, using an Ethernet cable." My network connection is on the lower level and the TV I want to set up surround sound is on the second level where there is no ethernet. What options do I have (other than running a network cable up through the wall) do I have? Thank you

I have three speakers. They are in my fitness facility. I have them all under one grouping and working fine. I have two play ones and one play five . The last when I hooked up is on a power source that is connected to automatic lights. When the lights turn off after 10 minutes the Sonos also turned off. When someone walks in the room the lights turn on, the Sonos turns on, but it does not go back into playing music. Is there a way to set it or he’ll get with the other speaker so that when the power comes back on so those the music . The other two are continually going power never shuts off .

Will my new Sonos 1 with Alexa read my kindle books for me? I hope so as this was one of the reasons for purchasing!

I got myself two Sonos Ones to replace to Play:1s and got them all set up yesterday. I had to reset and remove devices and start over, but all seems to work. There is just one small problem. In my Alexa app after adding a Kitchen and Living Room Sonos One, I now have 4 new devices showing. Kitchen, Kitchen Sonos, Living Room and Living Room Sonos. If I speak to Alexa and ask her to play music, she says 'Playing ...... on Kitchen Sonos', likewise if I want to play music in another room I have to say 'Alexa, play ...... on Living Room Sonos, I can't just say Living Room. To play to a Bedroom Play:1 I can just say 'bedroom'. I assume that the 'Kitchen' device is Alexa and the 'Kitchen Sonos' device is the actual speaker for playback. Does anyone else have the same, and is this correct? It's not a deal breaker but a little bit annoying.

I have programmed my Harmony 650 remote to control the volume of my Beam, yet when I try to use it, there is no response from the volume buttons? The display on the lcd screen of the remote shows an “input” for the Beam (amplifier)

I can't find this listed anywhere. Does anyone know if the video source will remain active from the HDMI source even if the audio source changes (e.g., play spotify music, etc.)?

I have an arc HDMI port but my Sonos Beam isn’t able to detect it. Now I have to use the optical cable, but have a sound delay lip sync delay when watching TV. Any clues?

Hi, Is there any chance Sonos is thinking of upgrading the app/speakers so that you can use your speaker settings differently at any given moment? For instance: in my living-room I have a hometeatre-setup (play bar,sub and two Sonos one) but I sometimes want to listen to music in stereo with just my Ones. Can this be done - without the need to configurate the speakers each time?? Rob

I have a playbar at one of our large TVs and 2 in-ceiling speakers above connected to a connect:amp. What is the best setup to get to surround sound or would I setup and then group each time?

Hi I am wondering whether I can buy a Sonos Connect and connect it to my Harman Kardon soundbar + bluetooth sub and it will work with my sonos speakers (via a RCA Y-cable - using the aux in on the soundbar)? And must the Sonos Connect be cabled to the internet or can it work wireless (wift)?

My ZP90 refuses to power up since last week. Due to stereo upgrades over time it’s only function was to stream to a gen 1 play 5 in another room. My question is do I need to replace the ZP90, or is the Play 5 able to function without it? The Play 5 is in a different room to my router.

2 issues I’m having- Sonos beam and cable remote are apparently paired but remote isn’t working to control sound. TV is a Samsung smart TV thats brand new. Other issue is while the sound is great, when I scroll through the menu of the smart TV, the speaker recites what is listed on screen. This does not happen when I change channels or on the Verizon Fios guide- only when I use the smart TV remote to scroll through smart tv menu- very odd and distracting. Please help!

Hi there, brand new to Sonos - one whole week! I played music via Spotify and Alexa was working all weekend, but now I can't get either to work on Sonos. I can get Sonos to play downloaded music from my iphone. I did turn the speaker off one night because the light was annoying me - could that be it? Should I start again and if so, how should I do that? Sorry if a newbie rookie question. thank you :? It says that the wireless connection is disconnected (something like that).

I've searched, and current info on this subject is a little scant. I'm looking for a replacement for my soon-to-be-EOL Airport Network, and am taking a long look at Ubiquiti Amplifi. My beam is working connected to a new-ish LG 4K tv via ARC. However the beam IR receiver doesn’t do anything with my remote controls and the beam is concealing my TV IR receiver. How can I fix this pass through
