Can’t seem to get the Sonos Connect hooked up properly to the Marantz AV Surround Receiver. Using red and white cables audio out from Connect to Audio In on Marantz. I’ve tried the CD, DVD, inputs but I cant get it to work. Marantz has the Cable box, Apple TV connected to it along with surround sound speakers for family room and Zone two driving 4 outdoor speakers all non Sonos speakers. Sonos speakers are in three bedrooms. Need some help please!

I live in France but am a native English speaker. I have a SONOS system with a several speakers and it works fine. I would like to add a SONOS ONE with Alexa to my system. SONOS ONE with Alexa is not yet available in France as it is currently undergoing translation into French. I would like an English-language Alexa, NOT French. If I purchase a SONOS ONE with Alexa in the UK (or USA) is there any reason why it would not work in France?

How to add as a Windows audio device to play computer audio and as a device connected to Sonos network? Just purchased a Play1 device. I was told I could play my music with the connect device and it is. But I was also told that I could have it work as my computer speaker as well. ( No, do not need 3 speakers on my desktop) Yes added the device thru Windows 10. Not shown as a playback device in the computer or the CONNECT AMP as well. So is it even possible? - The speaker is not that rich in sound, even after tweaking the EQ. The base is flat. - Is there a better speaker with richer sound?

I can no longer connect to sonos at all, it is only 6months old, I recently changed wirelss connection, but I have tried endless and all suggested options, new accounts, connecting with a lead etc & rebooting etc. It doesn’t even show up on my phone (same phone as before). I am at a total loss..sonos app is pretty inaccessible if things are not connecting.

I have a Samsung PN58B550 flat screen plasma TV. Now that I've set up external speakers, Sonos Playbar works great. However, I receive an annoying message onscreen (when using any remote control) when I adjust volume that says "Not Available". How do I eliminate this message?

Hey, my parents have a sonos system and it convinced me to buy my own Sonos speaker. Now, my parents can play music directly from sonos (you search for any artist and it shows up). They are using a Sonos controller (not the Sonos app). I just installed my Sonos :1 player, and it appears that I can only play radio stations from the app. I can't search for artists or music directly (results say "nothing found"). I guess I could use a 3rd party streaming service (spotify, itunes, etc.), but I prefer not to. Is there any reason why my parents have access to a free and very large database of music on Sonos, and I don't? Do I need to change something in my settings? Thanks for your support! P.

The Sonos Beam looks great. While I wish it was made for larger rooms I’m still thinking about getting it. One thing I’m not clear on though is the HDMI port. If I read correctly, it sounds like to use it, your TV has to have an HDMI out. Could someone confirm that for me? I’ve check my tv, new LG OLED 65inch and it doesn’t have any HDMI outputs. Sounds like I wouldn’t be able to take advantage of it but not sure.

Hiya, I'm considering getting a SONOS Playbar, Sub, and two Play 1's for my home theater system. I'll primarily be watching movies on my Plex server, which contains ~1,000 of my own blu-ray rips. Needless to say there's a lot of DTS content on there. I've heard SONOS doesn't support DTS, so what's going to happen when I want to watch my movies? Will the sound work at all? Will it sound terrible? Will Plex be able to transcode to a usable format? Etc. etc.

Hello I was wondering to complete my 5.0 (playbar + 2x play:1) with a Sonos sub in order to have a full 5.1 system. I have some doubts about its placement. I would like to placement it behind The table in The left angle (see pictures attached). In your opinion will it be a good placement? It will be same side of The playbar. Another option would be on The right side but I am worried for The heat coming from the radiator (see Last picture). Thanks

SONOS wireless headphones?

Just setup a Roku Ultra (2017) to my Sony x900e. I have a Sonos Playbar connected to the Sony x900e via optical. Any advice on why I am not getting any sound output from the Roku Ultra? I have a ps4 on another hdmi input and the Playbar works fine there.

Does anyone know if I can use 3 Beams together? One as a center channel and the other 2 as surrounds? I need sound dispersed over a very large area. If yes can they all play full range when connected to a TV?

Hi, I'm interest on Sonos Beam but I have some question about this new product. Can I use Beam's HDMI ARC audio input to send audio ONLY on Play3 situated in another room? Does the Beam work well if I don't have HDMI ARC but HDMI version 2.0? Thank you

Hi, is it possible to hook both HMDI and optical inputs to the beam? And use them separately? E.g., hook the TV + a CD player and watch the TV while listening to a CD elsewhere?

I just realized that I may not be able to connect my receiver to a Sonos Connect. If my receiver does not have analog L/R outputs, am I out of luck for using a Connect to output my receiver's sources into the Sonos system? Do I need a toslink/coax to RCA adapter? Is there a great product that wont degrade (would ideally enhance) the quality going from my receiver to the Connect? I am changing wireless connections and want to play my existing Sonos Playlist on the new connection after we move. Is there a way to save/export the sonos playlist before I change connections which I can then import when the new wireless connection is set up? The playlist has built over time and now has thousands of songs in so we don't want to lose it! Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm the lucky owner of 2 x Play:5. I think the sound is perfect. I'm considering a sub to add to the 2 Play:5, but I'm not sure if there is any effect, since they play so good. Does anyone has this setup and what are your experiences?

I have a Netgear R6220 router with both 2.4 and 5 network. The Sonos can only connect to 2.4 obviously. I set it up. I was connecting from iphone and win 10 Sonos apps to the sonos speaker while both iphone and windows computers were on 5g network. Suddenly it stopped working. Iphone/windows 10 sonos app no longer finds the speaker. Why? I have 2 Wyze Cams on 2.4 (only connects to 2.4) and I can connect to both of them just fine still from the 5g wireless. There seems to be some kind of "communication" between 2.4 and 5g for wyze and sonos but suddenly the communication stopped between 2.4 and 5g for the sonos.

I can’t find an unambiguous answer to this question anywhere: Does the original (gen1?) Play:5 support AirPlay 2?

(1) The Beam contents are listed as including a "power cord" and "HDMI cable". How long are these cables? (2) Is a power cord extension available? (3) The Sonos store sells an HDMI cable ( https://www.sonos.com/en-us/shop/hdmi-cable.html ) but its length is not specified. Is it longer than the one included with the Beam? Thanks!

By no means am i an audiophile, but I do notice a good home theater system. In between getting a beam + sub (already have two sonos ones) or a playbase with no sub. Generally speaking what would you guys imagine is the better set up sound quality wise? Initial reviews seems like Beam is going to be missing some bass, but sub in my mind would help make up for that?

Noob questions perhaps but will I get better 5.1 with the BEAM and HDMI than I would with the PLAYBASE/BAR and Optical?

Hi, I have a pair of Play 1's and an Echo Dot hooked up to a Connect in the kitchen. It was a rather expensive solution but ticked the boxes i) Children being able to ask Alexa for music ii) YouTube is a consistently good source for a type of music I like so I can bluetooth from any tablet or mobile device to the Dot I'm loving my kitchen setup and now I have the budget to look at my Cellar Lounger Room. The room is fairly small - 4.5m long by 3.5m wide I suspect I can tick all the boxes if I spend enough money and I see a couple of options Number #1 priority is good quality music system Number #2 priory is good quality sound from TV I looks clear that I get the PlayBar for my wall mounted TV which has optical audio out The decision I think is around the speakers I choose for listening to music / tv surround sound. I have an Echo Dot in the lounge that I want to retain (the children love it) and I also want to hook in from a mixer unit (I DJ a bit). So I was thinking a pair

Can the input be selected on the Beam? For example, can I watch my TV and listen to music from my library or streaming service through the beam?
