Does Sonos Beam take Bluetooth connection?

Do I need a Connect or Connect AMP if I am just using Playbar? What would I need a connect AMP for?

I’m having trouble getting solid volume from my turntable with my new Connect. I’ve searched extensively in the forums and basic info from Sonos articles but couldn’t find advice to resolve this issue. Here are the basics: [b]Turntable:[/b] Audio Technica LP 120 USB (has Pre-amp and is turned on) [b]Speakers:[/b] Sonos 3’s [b]Receiver:[/b] Onkyo TX-NR616 [b]Setup[/b] Scenario 1: Originally had the turntable connected to audio in on Receiver/amp and a zone 2 line out back to the Connect Audio In. Noticed that the volume didn’t seem that high. I read about variable and fixed room settings for the connect and tried using fixed but didn’t seem to impact my volume level (and still had what functioned like variable control in the Sonos App). I also noticed that whether or not I was set to fixed or variable, adjusting the volume on the Receiver had no impact on Sonos 3 volume levels. Hi Guys, hoping somebody may be able to help me out here please. On Sunday my system prompted me to update, which I did but then the update failed to complete, which is a new one on me. The 'Connect' in my system has now disappeared from the controller and has a solid red light on the front, I have tried various reboots and even tried a reset but the unit appears unresponsive to even this. I have 2 x play 3, 1 x play 5 (mk1) along with the connect controlled by iphones. I've had various intermittent problems over the years with all of it, mostly local network issues but this is the first time a unit appears to have failed completely. Any thoughts would be gratefully received. Bill

What's the controller and how do I remove a music service from it?

I have an iPhone 7 and a Sonos system with a Play 1, Play 3, and a Connect. Streaming services (I mostly use TuneIn radio) work fine, but when I play content on my phone (from my iTunes library or podcasts), playback will skip from one track to the next before the first track has finished playing. Sometimes I seem able to address the problem if I turn my phone off and back on. I have been in contact with multiple tech support people from Sonos, who keep having me tweak my router to a different channel as if that will fix the problem (unlikely, since I live in a rural area with no other wifi routers around to conflict with), but it doesn't; and if I leave a message on their callback service, no one calls me back. I live in NZ, which has pretty much zero Sonos support. When I call the US number now, the wait times are so long that they will eat up all my international minutes. I just set up my Sonos yesterday. I have synced the Direct TV remote with Sonos. But every now and then the remote control volume does not work .. Have to use the app.. Again it works at some times but it is not in sync with the app volume.. Its very confusing and looks very buggy. Never had such an experience with my previous home theatre.. Also some time when we start the TV there is no volume at all.. How can i resolve this ?

I made a mistake in adding a new speaker, and ended up adding two named speakers, but only one physical speaker exists. How can I delete the unused name from app (system?)

As I have seen with some other posts the Sonos chime occasionally plays instead of the playlist music from my computer. It worked perfectly for maybe 6 months but then this has happened a few times in the past weeks. As I saw from another post (https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/sonos-alarm-plays-chime-instead-of-pandora-6789800) the recommendation is to submit diagnostics so I have done that. The confirmation number of the submission is: 1968602670 Can someone take a look at that and let me know what's going on? The music playlist its attempting to play is music from the "Music Library" on one of my computers. Thanks.

Hi all, I have a sonos playbar, sub and two play 1’s for rears. I have noticed that recently when playing films in Dolby digital (Apple TV 4K) that the playbar sound seems to be being drowned out by the the rear speakers. The sonos is reporting Dolby digital 5.1 in the app. I have tried enabling speech option on playbar but doesn’t seem to make much difference. The only option seems to be turning off rears to hear what is being said. I need to try some other films but it does seem the rears seem much louder than the playbar ? Normal tv is fine albeit not tried rears yet. Any tips would be great :D

I have a Playbar connected to a TV via optical cable that recently started having to be reset anytime I want to use it. If I stop watching TV or playing music on it for a little bit of time, it won't play any sound (music or TV audio) until I unplug it and plug it back in. Then it kicks back on. It isn't paired with any surrounds or sub but there are other standalone Play 1s, 3s and 5s on the network. I have had the system in its current configuration for years with no problems like this. I haven't recently made any changes to my system that would trigger this that I can think of. It just started happening one day. I have tried a factory reset on the Playbar but that didn't fix the issue. Any ideas?

Hello I have just bought a Playstand which is very good but I now have a redundant Playbar. Can I use the Playbar like a Play1 or Play3 and set it up as a speaker in my study?

Cleared the queue during play of a music service station - songs cleared, and station continues to play, but now queue information is blank and no info will appear anymore for anything? Looked for info and could find nothing on how to get the queue display to re-populate.

I have a play one and Sonos one that has been working great. I just got a play3 and it’s says I need to update . I have tried several times and the update is not working. Tried resetting router, modem , controller and all the Sonos players still not working. I also tried to connect direct with the Ethernet cable and no luck.

Hi, I have a PLAYBAR, SUB, and four PLAY:1’s in my TV room. I have the PLAYBAR right under the TV, the SUB and a PLAY:1 on the left of the TV, a PLAY:1 to the right of the TV, and am using two PLAY:1’s for the surrounds. My question is how do I add the PLAY:1’s to the same room as everything else because I can’t figure out how to. Right now I have it setup so the left and right front speakers are a separate room but it gets annoying because the Tv remote doesn’t control their sound with the other room so it gets all messed up without using the app to adjust them as well.

Hello , I've inhereted a Sonos system in the house I've moved into and I'm having a few problems, Mainly it plays in the bathroom and they sound great but it has speakers in the kitchen and I don't seem to get them to work.I'm running a sonos connect amp

I have a record player with pre-amp connected to an Onkyo receiver (without receiver, the direct connection from record player to Sonos speakers was not amp'ed enough). I'm trying to get true stereo sound by using the two Play:5's as left/right speakers. I'm almost there but got stuck as follows: I'm using two 3.5mm-Mini-to-RCA-Cables to connect the line-out from the Onkyo to each of two the Play:5's. Basically using one RCA cable to connect the right channel on the receiver to the right Play:5, and the second cable to connect the left channel on the receiver to the left Play:5. I setup a room called Office to have the two speakers, and I under Room settings I can see a line in (L) and a line in (R). So now, I can hear the music on each of the speakers just fine. But I can't figure out how to get the Sonos App to play BOTH speakers at the same time. When I go to BROWSE to select Line-In as the source of the music... I see the two speakers... but I can only select one o

How do I enable Free Time on Alexa on my Sonos One?

1) I'm currently building a new house and play on having two TVs each with its own Playbar and two Play 1 or Play 3 speakers, then a Connect Amp wired to outdoor speakers. I have the ability (now) to wire any or all of these devices via Ethernet back to their own Ethernet switches and ultimately the router. Based on what I've read, the BOOST configuration is generally superior to regular WiFi, in which case I will plan on wiring at least one device via Ethernet to create a BOOST network. Is there a benefit in connecting more than one, or ALL of the Sonos devices via hard-wired Ethernet vs a single device?

Connecting sonos music service to amazon music (iPad) and the app takes me to Amazon.com. I don’t have a amazon.com account but do have a amazon.co.uk account (prime). My sonos account is set to uk location. My Alexa app is uk location. Have disabled Alexa sonos skill and re added plus discovered devices. Have uninstalled sonos app re installed and added all devices ( plus set location back to uk). Still keeps directing me to amazon.com. Have added sonos app to Samsung phone and tried to connect it to amazon music same thing happens.
