Just got my Sonos One and I see that within the Alexa App there is the option to connect to my Audible account. My Amazon and Audible accounts are to be linked and was thrilled to see audible, however, the audible selection does not display any of the books I have in my account. My Amazon account has the books so what is the hang-up?

When I give Alexa a command on my Sonos One, for example "Alexa, Good Morning" she says "Audio actions are not currently supported on this device" but then strangely she carries out part the associated action correctly, turning the lights on or off as expected. No weather, no flash brief. I have a Playbar with 2 Sonos One’s in our living room. After hours of initial setup everything worked...including routines. Then I exchanged the Playbar (speaker issue) and when I updated/reloaded everything my routines no longer work. Help! Seriously, if all of the features I purchased this system for don’t work, why did I invest so much cash? The salesperson at Best Buy assured me that this setup is 100% Alexa ready.

Hi, I have an echo dot which I use to control music on my Sonos 1 speakers, which are grouped together (called Conservatory). Every time I play music I need to tell Alex "Play on Conservatory", is there a way to set the default to be a group? (so I don't have to say Conservatory every time?). Occasionally I forget and it will start playing on the Echo Dot or state that Amazon Music is already playing somewhere else. It would make it easier for my children when they're asking Alexa to play something. Thanks, Gruss

Evening. My sonos system is connected to my NAS. I can play every music file from my NAS. Now I bought the Alexa DOT. How do I acces the music files om my NAS. If I give a voice control Alexa is searching in Amazon music and find not every song I want to hear. Anyone have a idea?

For quite a while I couldn't find a way to get Alexa to play CBC Radio 2 Toronto. It would always play a different radio station (e.g. CBC Radio 1 or a CBC station in the Bahamas). So I had to use the app to play this station. Finally I found a way to get Alexa to recognize the station: "Alexa, play Radio 2 Toronto from TuneIn in Room X." That worked for a while then one day it stopped working. Once again I cannot find any way to get Alexa to play this station, though I have tried every combination of radio station name, location, frequency, call letters, etc. that I could think of. So I'm back to using the app when I want to listen to this station. Does anyone have any tips as to how I can get Alexa to play this radio station? Thanks in advance for any advice or assistance!

Hi all, Currently I have two gen 1 play 5’s set up as a stereo pair with a sub attached. I’ve just added a play base to my tv. My question is while listening to music if I pair my sub to the play base and group my play 5’s will I still get use of the sub with the play 5’s? I know I can’t use the play5’s for tv use and that’s okay. I’ve noticed that when paired with the sub the play5’s sound better and I’m hoping that’s still the case when the sub is paired with the playbase

All set up; couldn't get the Alexa App on to Mac (should I be able to?) si I Used Sonos App in the 'Skills' section and added from there. When that didn't work for voice recon. I tried my wife's phone (I don't carry one). Sonos App recognises where it is in the house etc. using both. and I added Spotify / radio stations etc. . On the Alexa side it recognises the speaker and where it is plus I added Spotify there. ie. I think it's all in place. Speaker can play radio etc. (white light on top but the voice activation thing... nothing. Any ideas what I've missed??

Hi, I'm looking to add Alexa to an exiting Sonos setup and want Alexas response to come through my Connect:AMP which already exists. Is this possible with the echo dot? If not is, if I get a Sonos One and create a zone with the Sonos One and the Connect:AMP will the response only come through the Sonos One speaker or will it come through both the Sonos One and the speakers connected to the Sonos Connect:AMP? I understand how to control the volume from my computer (MacBook Air) using the Sonos Control App. But how do I control the volume in different rooms by using the mobile App. When rooms are grouped and I use the App on my iPhone, using the phone's volume control moves the volume in each room up and down equally. Is there a method to change the volume in selected rooms that are grouped like I can do on my computer?

I currently own an EA3 controller from C4 and the Sonos Connect, as well as the playbar and play 1 for two separate zones. The C4 does my 5.1 living room, and a zone in the patio, and one in the master bath run on a Pioneer Elite SC 91 AVR. All of these are hardwired and can currently be grouped together. The Playbar and Play 1 can be grouped together themselves, but not in tandem with the other three zones mentioned above. I am trying to connect all 5 zones that they can play the same source (ie Pandora) at the same time as we move through different zones of the house. Currently they can all do separate instances of Pandora and other digital music. I purchased the Sonos Connect in hopes it would hold hands with the C4 to bridge this gap. I am not sure whether the C4 should go to an input on the Sonos Connect or if the SC should be an input onto the C4. The Playbar and Play 1 are connected as a zone in C4 via IP addresses currently. I have a play bar, a sub and two play 1's. The app let me set up the play bar, the sub and one of the play 1's no problems. How ever the other play1 connects, but says it is part of the play bar. however NO sound comes out of it. Removed the app. reinstalled the ap. unplugged the play bar. continually tried to add the play one on its own. nothing. any ideas?

I just bought the Playbar. It replaces two medium sized B&W speakers which were quite old. The receiver wasn’t as good anymore either. With Loudness activated, sound was very good. Without loudness, crap. However, I am quite disappointed with the sound in comparison with my old speakers. It does not sound as full, or wide. Especially with movies, I might even consider calling it flat. Missing high and missing low. I have read that many buy the SUB and that this should make quite the difference. But: how about low volumes? I don’t like turning up the volume and prefer low volume with everything. The TV cabinet I have is quite wide (2.5m / 8’). Will adding Play 1’s on the ends of the caninet and pair as stereo help mich as well? Will the Play 1’s increase the hifhs and will the sub fill the lows? I really like the controls and app of Sonos, so any suggestions to improve will be much appreciated.

hello, I have a large room with 4 X 100w wall mounted speakers. Currently I have 1 regular amp to power this. I could add Sonos connect and job done. (but the amp is old, bulky and not that good anyway.) So I would like to have 2 Sonos Connect Amps working together as 1 room each driving 2 speakers. What is the best way to do this? Thanks

Hooked up play 5 to my echo dot through line in but Alexa’s voice is really low. I tried everything. Need answers.

I have a pair of Sonos Play 5's in stereo pair. They sound really good. However, i noticed there is a concert hall echo like effect on them in the signature of the sound. I kind of like that effect to be less... especially for the vocals. With the stereo pair in horizontal position, the effect is the strongest. I like the sound stage in horizontal position a lot, but the concert hall echo is strongest in this mode. With the stereo pair in vertical position, the effect is still there but far less. But the sound stage is not as enjoyable in vertical position. I have a pair of Play 3s in stereo also, and I do not have this concert hall like sound signature. They also sound great, btw. Can I do anything about that concert hall sound effect on the Play 5s? Or any setting I am missing? Anyone else notice this effect or is it just me?

can I hook 2 pair (4 speakers ) of Bose 31763 Free Space 51 Outdoor In-Ground Speakers to one SONOS connect Amp or do I need to buy two separate connect amps? The speaker wires would range from 50-100 foot long

My PLAY 1 has been working semi-fine up until now. It needed a reset once in a while, but that got it going again. Now it's lost the connection and refuses to reconnect. I've tried factory resetting it and configuring it again. In the setup process it seems to discover the speaker just fine. I type in the wifi password and then I'm asked to press 'play' and 'volume up' at the same time and wait for the sound. The sound plays, but then the LED turns solid red and nothing further happens. Any advice?

I have a US Amazon account since Alexa isn't available in Canada yet. However, my way older Sonos account is registered in Canada. So when I've tried to use Alexa, the Sonos app says I can't because it isn't available in my region. Any way around this?

Dear Ryan S, In the Sonos announcement, CR100 owners were offered two options:- 1 - Stop using the CR100 or 2 - Stay with the current 8.4 OS and "freeze" all future OS updates. Can you provide detailed step by step instructions on how users can take up option 2? Reading some other topics and seeing a Boost being recommended as a WiFi networking solution got me to thinking. A Boost is $100 while a Play 1 is $150, getting another speaker for $50 more might be tempting in some situations. So how would the Play 1 compare to the Boost in WiFi operation?

I have a Boost network (all components WP:0). A Bridge is hardwired, and there are 4 ZP80s. One ZP80, named "Roving", is outside, in an outbuilding. Sometimes, it gets poor signal and plays music in a choppy or pulsing way. Here is my network matrix. If I buy another bridge and put it in an intermediate location, is this likely to make things better?
