2 days ago I set up two Sonos 1 plays in one room. All ok until I began the Trueplay part. SONOS app needs to get permission to access the iPad microphone. The app did not appear in the “Settings / Privacy / Microphone” section. I have created submitted this to SONOS support but have not heard from them for 48 hours - help!

Hi, I have two play 3 coupled in a stereo pair. I am planning to buy two stand to position them at the correct high but I would like to know which orientation is best: vertical or horizontal? I just read that play 3 in vertical can only produce mono sound. Can you clarify this? Thanks

How many regular speakers can I hook up to the Connect AMP?

Each time I try to update the Sonos software to 8.1.1 on an iMac it says there is an error but no further information as to how to solve this. For info: the internet is working fine, as is the system (Playbar + 2 Play 3s). Does anyone know how I might be able to update?

So with Sonos integrating Amazon Echo within their eco system a couple of questions: - If I install an Amazon Echo Dot in each room that I have Sonos speakers in will I be able to assign that particular dot to that rooms speakers? For example, I don't want to ask Alexa a question and then have all of the households Sonos speakers respond. - I assume using the Dots that as well as having full control of Sonos Music system I will also have full use of the usual Amazon Echo services i.e. Alexa, what's the weather forecast, and it will use that particular rooms Sonos speakers to respond? The potential is quite compelling if it's implemented well but good to get some clarification.

I recently added a Sonos One to my existing setup and have gone through the addition of the Alexa app, etc. I am able to tell Alexa to play music on one of my speakers, but even though I have set up "Groups" in the Alexa, she refuses to recognize them so I am only able to play on one speaker at a time. I have even deleted everything (all apps and settings), restarted from scratch, set up new groups with new names after Alexa recognized my Sonos speakers, but I am still unable to play music on a group as defined in the Alexa app. Any thoughts? Separately, Sonos One + Alexa is not playing nice (not working) with my Hue lights anymore following a recent update at the beginning of November whereas it was for a couple of weeks after my initial purchase, but, I have read elsewhere (on Amazon sites) that this is a known Amazon update problem that is hopefully being addressed by them. When will Sonos and or Alexa have a app support?

Hi, I have recently purchased an Echo Dot to go along with my two Play 1 speakers. When I setup the Alexa skill I created a group which contains the two Play 1's and the Echo Dot, however I can't seem to get playback to work through the Dot as well as the Play's (I can get it to play through the two Play 1's). Is this possible? Thanks.

Hi, I've got a zp80 hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V671 through optical out / in. This plays fine in itself but when grouped with other zones (zp100s), I get some latency issues with a very slight delay between this one and the others. Is this expected behaviour and is there anything I can do to easily resolve this? Cheers Bern

I have 2 sonos 1 speakers (black and white) in my kitchen that are a stereo pair. I have a single sonos 1 (white) speaker in my sunroom. I want to put the two white ones in the kitchen. I can't figure out how to reconfigure them. After moving the black one to the sunroom and the white one to the kitchen they still are identified with where they previously were. How to I change them?

Hello all, is there any way to lock the Playbar into music mode?. When I am streaming my own music or internet radio and my lad is on his XboxOne sometimes when he changes games the Playbar switches back to TV mode on it's own?. Had a look around the app and can't see any auto-switching options?. Over the moon with the Playbar, bought it for tv and music and it's exceeded all expectations!.

Hi, I set up my bedroom Play1 tonight with an Echo Dot and followed all the directions. Currently, if I ask Alexa to play something specific, Sonos just kicks on and plays the current queue. If I clear the queue and try again, Alexa tells me that the Bedroom is not responding. I have also set up Amazon Music as the default service in Alexa and added it to my Sonos account. Am I missing something?

I have one Sonos One working just fine with Alexa. I added another Sonos One and it plays fine but Alexa does not respond at all. I have no other Alexa devices and no devices have the same same (they are all named by the Sonos APP anyway). I'm on holiday in a foreign country and I'm panicking that I've left my 6am alarm active while I'm gone. It's set to be very very loud and I'm worried for my neighbours' sanity. I'm quite restricted in what I can install from the web as the only desktop machines I have access to are in internet cafes. Is there a way to deactivate alarms from off-network using just my Android phone? Alternatively, is it possible for me to direct a family member to deactivate from off-network (they don't have keys to my place) using their desktop controller with my login credentials?

Hello to all, I'm wondering to buy a playbar (truly still haven't decided yet between playbar and playbase). I have a B6V LG OLED TV with a central stand, not wall mounted, so my question are: 1) Should I choose a playbar or playbase - which sounds better, paired with the Sonos SUB? 2) If I will choose the Playbar, after trueplay, are there any big differences between installing it wall mount and tabletop? Question #2 is important because, in any case, I will NOT mount the playbar on wall. If I will chose the playbar, I thank to buy together with Flexson playbar stand in order to let the playbar became a base for my TV. Thanks in advance for your support.

Sonos controller doesn't work on Windows 7 Professional on Parallels Desktop 9 running from a bootcamp installation on a 2012 MacBook Air with OSX 10.9. Sonos controller runs fine in OSX or in plain bootcamp boot-up of Windows on this same machine. Is the Sonos controller incompatible with Parallels? I am guessing this is a port or firewall issue and I am not expert in those areas.
