I have compiled everything I have done so far. SONOS app (Mac or iPhone) is having trouble connecting and playing songs from most music services. I have no problem playing Q100 , 96.1 through TuneIn all 8 speakers. Some Stations fail to Play. Hello, Needing some help, My sonos play 3 is all connected upto Alexa and Sonos however, I cant control it via Alexa as it keeps saying my Sonos is Offline. Sonos is working fine via the Sonos App and I cant figure out how to get it to show online and work via Alexa - Any ideas?

So here is what my setup will be: 5 pairs of Indoor Ceiling Mounted speakers. These 5 pairs will need to be 3 zones (3 connect:amps) 1 pair of Outdoor Mounted Speakers (Understand this would require it's own Connect:Amp) So I know the easy solution is 4 connect:amps and I am done. I have 2 pairs of speakers in garage and 2 pairs in kitchen/dining area which are open concept so that is why I only need 2 Connect AMPs for these 4 pairs of speakers. My indoor/garage ceiling mounted speakers are Polk Audio RC80i's My outdoor speaker is undetermined- leaning towards Bose 251 or Polk Atrium #? Will take recommendations My question is: Should I go with 4 Connect:Amps to power/play through all of the areas mentioned above or should I go with a third party amplifier and just get 4 Connects. The difference in price is $600 ($150 extra between Connect AMP and Connect) and I figure I could put a couple hundred into a good amplifier and still save some money going this route. An

Hello, I'm pretty new to Sonos and just bought a Soundbar (got a good deal on one!). The devices I would like to use with the soundbar are a new Samsung 55" LED TV and a turntable that plugs into a mixer. Hi, I am hoping someone who knows what they're talking about can help me with my query. I just bought a Connect:Amp to go with an internal/external speaker set-up I'm hoping to put into a new home. I'm running this with a Sonos One in the Kitchen area and plan to build on the set-up over time. Living/Dining Area (5.4m x 4.2m) - 4 x Polk Audio RC60i Outdoor wall to garden area - 2 x Polk Audio Atrium 4 Speakers As I'll be running the above 6 speakers off the Connect:Amp, I intend to have two of the internal speakers on a manual switch with the external speakers, so only 4 speakers are ever running off the Connect:Amp at any one time (otherwise I believe I could blow it) My question is two-fold: 1. Does the set-up above seem reasonable? 2. Are there any cheapish powered subwoofers people would recommend for the internal set-up? Following these instructions can not get the LG magic remote volume control to work with the Playbase. I can't find any documentation on the "Detect New Session" feature. How does it work?

For roughly the past week, I have been having trouble streaming KPCC (Los Angeles) with Alexa on TuneIn through my Sonos One. Previously, it was working fine. Other stations seem to work okay, but importantly, KPCC works fine when I try this on my Echo Dot. So the problem has something to do with Sonos. When I say, "Alexa, play KPCC" OR "Alexa, play KPCC on TuneIn", Alexa either remains silent or says "KPCC on TuneIn Live is currently not available." But if I say "Play KPCC on iHeartRadio" it works fine. It also works fine playing other radio stations on TuneIn. As I mentioned, the station plays fine through my Echo Dot, but if I say to my Dot, "Alexa, play KPCC in Living Room," the Sonos is silent. So, again, it seems like a Sonos issue. Anyone else having similar problems on TuneIn with this or other stations? Is this type of problem something Sonos is aware of? Thanks.

I have a Play 5 and a Play 1 in a large kitchen diner, needed so that people in either part of the room can easily hear what is playing, especially with radio. As these speakers are always used together it would be ideal to be able to set them up as a fixed group, any ideas? I am sure this is a fairly common scenario. Roger

Before I get caught in a loop where Sonos tells me to talk to Nest and Nest tell me to talk to Amazon and Amazon tells me to talk to Sonos... has anybody been able to tell their Sonos One to play a Nest camera feed on their Fire TV? It works perfectly from my Echo and Echo Dot. And requests to play Fire TV content via Sonos One work no problem. It's only when I ask for it to display my Nest feeds that Sonos One says [b][i]"Sorry! Cameras don't work on this device!"[/i][/b] — I've made sure there are no name conflicts. I've done the whole disable/enable skill and forget all/discover devices and have ulinked/linked devices in the Fire TV prefs (along with everything else I can think of). None of the usual tricks are working, so I'm starting to suspect that Sonos One can't handle video requests from Nest Cams sent to Fire TV?

I have a playbar on one tv and a playbase on another tv, also several other play:1 play:3 and connect:Amp. When I use my phone or laptop as a source and switch to 'party mode', everything is perfect - always. When I watch either TV with only it's playbase or playbar - it works flawlessly. If, however, I attempt to group any other speakers to either the playbase or playbar sourced by TV sound - the audio cuts out every few seconds. This just started fairly recently - I recall watching some football this way (party mode) with no issues the entire evening - but by the time playoffs rolled around - it's not usable in that way. I'm unable to think of any significant changes that have been made since I recall this working - maybe the playbase is that new - it arrived on christmas day. :) Another interesting thing to note is that the source playbase or playbar (depending on which tv I want to broadcast) never cuts out - only the satellite grouped speakers cut out - and they all cut ou

I have just bought a Sonos One. The sound is great. The Alexa integration doesn't seem to work well. A lot of the skills just don't work. Audible is really important for me and I thought it would be possible to play through Alexa. It tells me it is about to play my book..but nothing happens. Audible is 80% of my use case. I am talking my Father into adding Sonos to his home, a connect to his hifi and a couple of Play5s. I have my own 4 zone system and wanted to lend him a Play5 to try for a few weeks. How can I remove the 5 from my list of components while he has it on loan?

I have a Connect that I have been using for many years to allow me to use my Turntable. The turntable is connected, via a pre-amp, to the analog line-in of the Connect and this set up works brilliantly. Recently I purchased a sound bar for under my TV. So that I could include this as part of my Sonos network I hooked up the sound bar to the Connect to the analog line-out of the Connect. This worked fine for a couple of weeks but now the audio keeps dropping out. It is mostly random but the sound bar will get a signal for about 5 to 10 seconds then it will drop out for a while and then come back again for another few seconds. No amount of playing with the connections will get it to maintain a signal. I have checked the cable in multiple ways. First I switched it over to the analog line-in and connected my phone to the other end and was able to play music without problem around the network. I found a person in my area selling a used Sonos Sub. He says it was purchased a month ago and it looks new from the outside. However, he no longer has the receipt. Will I still be covered by warranty if I buy this from him? I have a playbar already and been looking for a cost effective way to get my hands on a Sonos Sub.

Like a lot of people I would like to use two Play 5's to my TV for real stereo separation. But I don't want to use the RCA port for many reasons. It seems like I should be able to use a Sonos Connect to the TV and the Play 5's to the Connect? How about the Play 5's and the sub? Or even those three and two rears for 5.1?

You can ask Alexa to turn her music off after a designated amount of time, but apparently you can’t do that on Sonos via Alexa? And I don’t see it listed as a feature coming in 1.0

Does anyone know how to get Audible to play via Echo on my Sonos system? I can get Alexa to play Audible, and I can get (in a haphazard way) Alexa to play some things on my Sonos, but I can't get my audible book onto my Sonos system.

Does anyone know how to use the VLC Media Player with Sonos? The player apparently can act as a streaming server but how? Any ideas would be welcome
