I keep getting error code 4 on one of my Play Ones. I have tried plugging it straight into the Ethernet but it won’t update.

There's a thread I found by googling that indicates that it shows that there's an error applying the update to a chip....have you tried power cycling the speaker? I'd certainly (for now) leave it wired to the router with an ethernet.
