I've had a Playbar for the past 18 months, with the volume controlled by my Virgin Media Tivo remote. On Sunday the remote control stopped controlling the volume on the playbar, but works fine with the Tivo box. I changed the batteries and got no improvement. I tried to re-pair the remote, and am unable to finish the process. The first stage of the pairing process where it asks me to press Vol+ will often say 'no input detected' after a split second, and I've not even done anything. Other times it will move forward to the 2nd stage after me hammering the Vol+ from 2 inches away. On the 2nd stage, it's hit and miss whether I can press the Vol+ button 3 times and get the white IR light to respond. HOWEVER, when I have successfully done that (and the light has flashed with each of the 3 presses), the next screen says "No input detected", even though it has to have detected something to switch to that screen!?!? I have tried my Panasonic TV remote as well to no effect. Turning the TV

Can I setup a PLAY:1 and a Sonos One as a stereo pair?

When connecting two rear speakers via Connect:AMP for 5.1 with a Sonos AMP for the from two channels do you have to connect an ethernet cable between the Sonos AMP and the Connect:AMP and then a second ethernet cable from the Sonos AMP to the router or switch? You can't setup a 5.1 setting with Connect AMP during the initial Sonos AMP setup for a TV setup but it does give you the option in Room Settings - Surround setup and it suggests this cabling but it words it like you are connecting to an AV receive so I just want to confirm that this is the correct setup and you need cabling between the two amps and from the Sonos AMP to the router/switch. Thanks.

Hi, we have a Sonos Beam hooked up to a Samsung TV, have it connected with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). However, the TV keeps being turned on for no reason. Is there a setting I'm missing or something we have set up incorrectly? Cheers, Phil.

Hello I works on simple integration sonos to my system (web-service). I wondering that exist some sonos cloud web-api to direct controll particular speeker or group speekers using created user account which allow me just : - play/stop music from file stored on HD on server or smartphone - controll volume Actualy I read information from https://musicpartners.sonos.com/?q=docs On this page I not find information about how controll speekers but only about how to create own music service. I don't need create all service and implment all API I need only simply function as above. I find how to controll speekers using UPnP, using SOAP body request but this is available only on local. If I want to controll from external (my web-service)I will need to forward 1400 port on my routers. Any way this is not safe, and I would like to controll speeker from sonos cloud (if exist) using autorization via account. If I good remember Philips HUE has available cloud integ

I have 2 physical rooms very close to each other. My TV room has 2 Sonos Ones. The other room has 2 other sonos ones that are paired and stereod and connected to a sub. I would like to be able to have 5.1 in the TV room after getting the sound bar in the TV room when watching TV. But also have the sub paired to the speaks in the other room when watching TV. What are options for doing this? I would rather not buy 2 subs as the rooms are essentially almost 1 big room. I think my options in most desirable order -- ) Have the sub in two different groups simultaneously ) Use the app and remake the groups Everytime I go from listening music to watching TV ) Create group of 1 with the subwoofer and enable it along with the other ones I want depending on watching TV or listening to music Any help appreciated

Anyone know if you can control a Sonos Playbar and Fire Stick 4k remote? I want the remote to control the sound through Playbar only and not the TV speakers. I have a brand new 75" Samsung TV (bought and connected same day as Fire Stick) and I cannot figure out how to make it work. I have the app and can control through that, but that is inconvenient and leaves the rest of my family without the option. The PlayBar is connected with an Audio Optical cable to the TV....the same way it was to my last Vizio TV (only two years old). Thanks for any help!

I've scoured the internet and this forum for help with my issue and feeling hopeless. My Setup: * Turntable (Orbit turntable) is connected to Sonos Connect via the IN ports. * Playbar connected to TV via optical cable. Note: Playbar works fine with TV and other audio stream services via Sonos app. * Play:1. Works fine with TV and other audio services I've double checked the preamp on my turntable is ON. The RCA cable is connected correctly (red to red and white to white) and connected to the IN ports on the connect. And the Line-In Source Level is set to 10. However, when I drop the needle, I don't hear any sound coming from the Playbar or Play:1. If I max out the volume on the Sonos app, I can hear sound coming from the speakers; probably 10% volume. Backstory: Rewind a few months, everything worked fine. Fast-forward, I have new apartment, new router, and no sound from turntable. Could the Connect or preamp have broken during the move? Is there something else I could

Obviously, this question has been discussed in this forum, I want to clarify some questions. 5Ghz is only used in a 5.1 set up I suppose? In terms of connectivity bond, projecting sound from Tv (Movies) 2.4Ghz is employed in multi-room usage? In terms of projecting your movie audio to different rooms; Streaming music from Spotify (I believe that a 5.1 streaming music is using 2.4ghz then) So how Sonosnet have anything to do with this? If I'm using a standard set up for my 5.1, I'm actually getting my router to work on 5ghz? if this statement even make sense

I think I know the answer but I want to double check before spending more money. I am having some lip sync issues when connecting my sources via my Panasonic 902B TV to the ARC input of the beam. I have tried to connect my sources via optical directly to the Beam and that seams to sort some of the problems I am experiencing. I have been looking at a toslink switch to connect the my optical TV out and the optical outputs of my xbox, PS4, etc directly to the Beam. Am I right to assume that I can connect the optical to hdmi adapter directly to the switch output just like I would with the optical out from my TV ? I assume that I can but I'd rather double check.

I would like to add two Sonos play1's for additional TV sound and a 2.1 effect. I do not want to use them for rear surround. Is this possible?

When choosing a low volume, it seems impossible to choose the right loudness by just using the app volume control. the difference between silent, and the next setting is too large, and thr only way to get the right volume is too use the controls on the speaker device itself. Is there a way to change app volume sensitivity?

I can see this topic has been raised multiple times previously, so I'm surprised it has never been addressed by Sonos: for music stored on a phone, why is there no folder view? It is a simple programming fix included by multiple other music apps. The included Artist/Album/etc views are useless, given that the app is very sensitive to ID tagging differences and splits some albums into multiple albums (for instance if 1 song on an album is tagged as "pop" and another is tagged as "alternative", they appear as separate albums). Also, mix albums get split over multiple artists. A folder view allows users who care about the organization of their music (a user base which highly correlates with users wanting high quality speakers like Sonos) to control their listening experience, which is the point of technology. This missing feature makes me regret having switched to the Sonos ecosystem (I have wasted hours on workarounds, including re-tagging my music, only for Sonos to find some ot

Hi! I would like to know if there is any support for Linux as OS on laptops. Could you provide a howto to get Sonos running under Linux? Thanks!

Hello, When can we expect a native Linux controller?

I have the following setup: playbar, sub, and 2 Sonos ones. The system was working fine and then stopped working completely. The playbar stopped working and would not reconnect. Worked with Crutchfiled tech support, but still could not fix. The system is brand new and thus they are sending me a new playbar. I unplugged the playbar for a day and then today tried to set it up again. I was successful setting it up and adding the sub and the surrounds, but the only thing generating sound is the playbar. I have a bridge connected to my router. It doesn’t matter whether I am playing music or the TV - only sound is the playbar.

Hello to everyone, In order to take advantage of Airplay 2 in my set up I am thinking of using an Apple TV to send sound via Airplay 2 to a Beam Bar with surrounds and sub. I am using a beamer, that would avoid having a HDMI cable from back to front. My question is: does using Airplay 2 for movies enables 5.1 with surrounds sound balance when sent to a Beam or Playbase?

I´m about to get a Sonos One and have a question regarding Google Home as I understand is upcoming for Sonos. When Google Home is integrated with Sonos, will it be possible to set up a group of speakers containing both Sonos and Google home speakers? I have a couple of Google Home speakers and it would be awesome to be able to play through them all, including Sonos One simultaneously. Hope for the best Best regards Toomas Kardfall

I've ordered a Beam as it is seems perfect for my requirements. My TV is on a wall mount bracket above a fireplace. I would like to hang the Beam below my TV as there is no wall below the TV to use the Beam mounts (they are all for wall mounting). Does anyone know if the Sanus Playbar TV mount would work ( https://www.sonos.com/en-gb/shop/sanus-playbar-tv-mount.html ) or if not whether there is currently an alternative, many thanks

I have read as many of the relevant posts here but can't find an answer to my problem. Any help appreciated. When I installed my Beam in August it worked perfectly with my Sky Q remote until a few weeks a go. I have changed the batteries in the remote moved closer to the Beam etc. etc. but just cannot get to to work again.

Hello, How can I link / connect my Google Mini to control my Sono Connect:Amp ? (My mini has no line out). Thanks.

Hello, I recently purchased a few Sonos Ones (first time Sonos user). I have been playing around with the Alexa integration and I find it pretty useful.... and so have our little kids. The kids love nothing more than shouting at Alexa first thing in the morning and getting random music to play at full volume. Same can happen when we are listening to something they find it hilarious to change the music / talk to Alexa. All of which leads me to the topic title... From what I can see there appears to be no way to temporarily disable voice control; - Turning the microphone off using the button on the speaker isn't helpful (in this scenario) because it can simply be touched to be re-enabled again - The microphone button on the speaker is not disabled when I have turned off the touch control buttons in the app (which I find a bit weird given there is almost no point in turning the touch controls off if anyone can simply override everything with Alexa). - I have tried seeing if I

hello, i was wondering if the new sonos connect i bought works hooked up to my Anthem MCA-5 external power amp? I know it would be better with a home theatre or stereo reliever but will this setup work and if so what do i need to hook up to make sure i don't blow the amp or the speakers (which are gonna be brand new)? thanks in advance!

How do I connect the Sonos connect directly to Samsung Smart Tv?

As of a couple days ago I no longer have sound from my Playbar with Hulu and Google but Amazon is fine. Please advise.
