How do I sync my speech sound with my beam and tv?

I have Sonos speakers in 2 rooms at home. Now I like to move the one in the dining room and implement it as a satellit in the tv room. I have tried to find a Youtube about this but cant find any. Could any one let me know how I do this?

Configuring an Apple TV 4K (only has hdmi) with Epson Projector along with Playbar wirelessly. Can this be done? I have an old Apple TV with an optical audio in addition to the hdmi that needs a converter to coax hooked up to my connect amp to group my playbar. The problem is that I have some drops that get annoying. Anyone have a solution?

I just purchased two sonos ONEs and hooked them up. Previously, I had a PLAY:3 directly connected to my router in a closet because I couldn't get the speakers to work otherwise. Music played fine. But, I was told I don't need to bridge to a SONOS component directly attached to a router and that the new speakers and software should just be able to use my WiFi. So, I unplugged the speaker in the closet and after a few minutes none of the speakers works. If I have to buy a bridge to put in the closet, that is one solution, but I wasn't under the impression it should be necessary. I tried to restart a speaker and to restar the app but my efforts are not yielding any result unless I plug the speaker in the closet back in. But, this is a waste of a speaker just to establish a network. thanks Eric

Can you install two bass speakers in one system?

Live in NYC, spectrum cable customer, cisco cable box (8742HDC), Samsung UNC60C6300 and no matter what i change on TV or box rear speakers remain silent. Apple TV, Music via Echo and Fire stick play through back speakers as well. Have spend far too long reading online "solutions" none of which actually work/apply. Can anyone help without the need for new equipment?

Hi guys, tried searching but can’t find an answer to my specific question. I have had my beam for a few weeks, and noticed in my Samsung TV settings audio out was set to PCM. When I changed to Dolby Digital, the difference is significant and the bass response sounds a lot better. Is this what I should be having it on, or should I have PCM? I wouldn’t want to risk doing damage to the unit, the bass is far more significant while the bass on the Sonos settings remains at default. Looking for a little advice if it’s ok - thanks guys :)

Starting a couple months ago, At random times during playback, the Playbar makes farting popping noises. It’s always in sync with the audio mix. As far as I can tell, the artifacts only come from the Playbar. The rest of the mix doesn’t cut out (you can still hear dialogue, the score, etc.) however, the artifacts are usually followed by a brief, split second drop of all audio signal. The Playbar is connected to the home network switch/router via Ethernet and to an LG OLED55B7A. Diagnostics ID: 1077156679 I’ve seen other posts similar to this one with no confirmed resolution and requests to troubleshoot in real time during SONOS Support hours, which is not realistic.

Hi I have recently got a Beam which I am very happy with- I have a problem with my TV a Samsung which does not pass through Dolby Digital from my Sky Q box or Sony Blu Ray player (NB I have tried changing the TV and sky box settings but nothing works and Samsung have confirmed the TV does not pass through DD) . I have now connected the Sky box to the beam using the optical adaptor and I get DD , however have lost the ARC functions and I need to switch connections over if I am watching a blu ray or a streaming service via the TV. I have read that a HDMI switch with ARC capabilities might solve this problem , does any one have any experience of this and could suggest a HDMI switch that would work and how to set it up, Mary thanks

Is there any way to use voice commands (such as play music, volume up/down, stop, night-mode) on the Sonos beam without using/enabling Alexa? I love the soundbar, but after an unfortunate few events using Alexa and an echo dot (some funny, some not so funny), I'd rather not enable the full features of Alexa to get the voice activation

Alexa either won't recognize playlists- mistakes "work out," for "work," (I don't have a work out playlist). Or if asked to play an artist, states "shuffling music by [artist]" but then nothing actually plays. I've tried disabling and enabling the Sonos skill within Alexa several times. How do I enable so that music actually plays through Spotify?

I need to swap a couple speakers amongst existing rooms - how do I do that? In other words, take an existing speaker that is set up in one room, and simply switch it with another existing speaker in another room...

Are there are any general rules for naming Sonos speakers and rooms in an environment with Amazon Echo devices and Airplay 2 to avoid issues and conflicts? I have a Sonos Beam in one room and two Sonos Ones bonded as a stereo pair in another room; in addition, I have an Amazon Echo and an Amazon Echo Dot in two other rooms. I use the Sonos app as well as Airplay 2 to play content. 1. In the Sonos app, I have named the room the Sonos Beam is in "Office" and the room the Sonos Ones are in "Bedroom." 2. In Apple Homekit, I have named the Sonos Beam "Sonos Beam" and placed it in the "Office" room and the Sonos Ones "Right Sonos One" and "Left Sonos One" and placed them in the "Bedroom" room. 3. In Amazon Alexa, in the Alexa Devices setting, I have named the Sonos Beam "Office Sonos" and the Sonos Ones "Right Bedroom Sonos" and "Left Bedroom Sonos." I’m planning out where to add various sonos speakers and dots in additional rooms in my house. In rooms with smart lights I’d like to be able to control them with the new alexa enabled smart groups. So can I add the Sonos One as the alexa enabled device in an alexa smart home group?

I recently moved to a new location in the country and currently we have no internet. My sonos system now requiring me to update the software to even use the system. I took my router, on which the controller is installed, to the office but it won't update the software without the sonos system present. So now my sonos system is useless. How can I update my software or use my sonos system without an internet connection? I have two Player 5's, two Player 3's and a sound bar. Spend a lot of money on a system that I now cannot use.

Here's my setup that Im trying to fix: 1969 Pioneer record player and Tivoli CD inputs going into a 1969 Pioneer receiver. From this device I've got a line in into a Sonos Connect. I then have grouped 5 other Sonos speakers throughout my house. When playing from the line in/Connect to the Sonos group of speakers I've got a delay. I'd like to be able to leave the Original Pioneer Speakers playing near the receive when I play my record player or CD player, and also have the Sonos group play simultaneously. Ive got the advanced audio setting set to "uncompressed" which helped but there is still a delay that is too significant to have both old speakers and Sonos on at the same time. Is there an option to fix this?

My play5 has been acting odd, disappearing from my list of speakers, not wanting to pair with other speakers, while still playing. Problem goes away when I unplug and reply in, but now it’s happening almost daily. I’ve submitted diagnostics and can provide the conf. number.

Why is it mandatory to create an account to continue to use Sonos? I have had these speakers for years. now with the lastest update I can't use the speakers without creating an account and registering all my speakers. this was never necessary. after spending thousands of dollars on hardware it has become unusable with a registered account and password. :@

I want to connect outdoor speakers to Sonos and am working with an uncommon set-up. I have a connect:amp inside the house connected to underwater speakers to the outside pool (let's call that C:A1). I also have a cat5 feed available from where the C:A1 unit is to a casita in the yard (I use it to extend wifi to the yard). I am adding outdoor speakers and my current options are: 1) run the outdoor speaker back to C:A1. I don't love that option for practical reasons to do with my yard + I am not even sure that C:A1 can handle both pool and outdoor speakers 2) buy a Connect:Amp (let's call that C:A2), place it in the casita and connect it to C:A1 via cat5, then run the outdoor speakers to C:A2. Since I don't need to control the pool and outside speakers independently, option 2) is a bit more than I need. Is there an option where I can buy a cheaper unit (Sonos or other) that can connect to C:A1 via cat5, and would only be used to power the outdoor speakers and that I can s

I just upgraded to Sonos Version 9. While the app is open, I noticed that the external hardware volume controls are not functioning properly. It appears that only every other button press is registering. So, press the button once... nothing. Press it again and the volume moves 2 increments. Press it a 3rd time... nothing. And so forth. Again, this is while the app is open. This do not relate to the lock screen issue, however, that issue is also very annoying.

For some reason, there is a unknown email associated with one of my controllers. Is it possible a house guest changed it? Anyway, I need to register it back to the original email address. I'm not sure how to do this.

Hi, I have 2 sonos one's and 1 sonos beam. I also have a record player I would like to include in my network, I understand that a play:5 or Connect are the best way of doing so. But I live in a small flat so the current set up does not need an extra speaker and a connect for just the record player seems excessive. Beam has both optical and HDMI inputs, the HDMI is used for the TV, but can I use the optical audio input to connect the record player (after converting the signal to optical)? Ie, connect both inputs but only use one of the inputs at any given moment. Thanks for the help!

My Beam soundbar blocks the IR sensor on my Sony TV connected via HDMI ARC. I am able to control the volume with the TV remote however am not able to control any other TV functions such as access to Netflix through the Smart TV app. When I purchased the Beam, the dealer assured me that the Beam had an IR repeater and I would be able to control all the TV functions with its IR remote. Would you please tell me which settings need to be adjusted so that I may control all the TV functions with the TVs IR remote while the Beam soundbar is located in front of it?
