G'day Sonos Fans. Please bare with me whilst I explain my scenario. ISP Router: 192.168.1.254 (static/DHCP) Wireless Bridge (Asus): 192.168.1.253 (static) 24 Port POE Switch (Dummy) 14 other Devices connected. Recently added sonos beam + sub, no issues worked flawlessly. Yesterday I added a Sonos Amp (x2) and Sonos Boost; It worked for a couple of hours; and at about the 4 hour mark my internet had shut off and ever since I've been playing with gremlins. I originally had the configuration as follows: ISP Router > Switch > Boost > AMP. After it broke I changed the AMP and BOOST to connect directly to the switch - I have not tried a different ethernet cable. I changed the Wireless Bridge to Auto channel and Sonos Boost to Channel 6 - No change in issue. Internally wireless connects, though cannot get to Google for example - sonos music unavailable etc. Externally my CCTV (LAN) + Solar inverter (Wireless) - I can connect to both outside of house network - ISP R

Hello Sonos Community, I am doing a big bathroom renovation, and want to put 2 speakers in my "steam shower" and 2 speakers in the main part of the bathroom, for a total of 4 speakers.... all connected as one zone to one amp. I have seen the documentation here that this is possible: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/265?language=en_US#4_speakers But, nothing is ever easy. :) Since it's a steam shower, the speaker is going to get soaked. As such, I'm looking at marine-grade speakers. After talking with Crutchfield, they recommended the "Kicker KM604W" speakers for inside the shower and the Polk Audio RC60i (or 80i) for the main part of the bathroom. The issue, however, is that the Kicker marine speakers are: 4 ohm The Polk speakers are: 8 ohm On the Sonos link above it says: [i]To attach 4 speakers to a single Amp or Connect:Amp, the speaker impedance must be 8 ohms. Anything outside of that may damage the Amp, Connect:Amp, or speakers.[/i] Yikes.... now

I have a Sonos connect in my living hooked up to my AV receiver. If I'm in a different room in my house with my Mac, is there a way to also play the same music through my Mac using the Sonos Controller?

Recently my office was broken into and I had (2) Play 1 speakers stolen. Both were fairly new and I have the receipt showing the Serial Number of both speakers. A police report was filed. I am wondering if Sonos can track the speakers to a new registered user as the speakers are registered on the app in order to use them. Any info would be appreciated. I would love to have the police follow up on this with the assistance of Sonos. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Hi, Just got the beam this weekend and when my kids go to watch TV, often the sound has been switched to music on the beam. I know that you can ask Alexa to change it back to TV, but I am not planning on using Alexa, I do not like Alexa. Also my kids don't use the App, so I have to manually change it back for them every time. One thread said you can just hit volume up or down on the TV Remote and it will kick in but that didn't work for me. Any other suggestions?

I've set up my beam and get sound while watching Freeview via internal tuner. The problem is when I wake Nvidia Shield TV with HDMI CEC, there is what looks like a Sonos screen saver I assumed that as the Beam has ARC, I could use my Shield as usual for Video and the beam would handle audio? Sony TV HDMI (1) ARC > Sonos Beam (Ethernet) HDMI (2) > Nvidia Shield TV

Wondering if anyone can help me troubleshooting why Google Assistant doesn't control my Sonos speaker. I have linked my IFTTT account with my Sonos account. There appears to be no way of linking to Google Home or Assistant. Google reveals nothing on troubleshooting this and can find nothing in the Sonos form

Would my wired Speakers connected to the Sonos Amp play in perfect sync with the Beam? I’d like to have them all play together if it will work.

Hi, I have an older Philips TV (42PES0001 d) that has HDMI but not ARC, it has L/R audio out and Digital Audio Out - Coaxial. I am having trouble finding a connection method to the single HDMI port on the Beam. Google hasn't helped, hoping someone here can put me in the right direction. Thanks in advance JD

Hi, I am interested in getting Sonos and I am trying to find out if following is possible: I want to project a movie (eg. from windows media player) from my PC using chromecast (I connect it to my projector) and play the sound by using Sonos. Is this combination possible? Thanks a lot!

I have been a Sonos user for years and placed my main library on my Netgear ReadyNAS drive. This arrangement has worked great for me until a couple days ago. I loaded Plex on my AppleTV and pointed it to my NAS drive, adding the Plex server to my MacBook. I only wanted to use Plex to view videos while continuing to use Sonos for music files, so I didn’t add my music directory to the Plex server. I didn’t notice until the next day that Sonos could no longer connect to the NAS drive as it had for years. I deleted and renetered the mapping to the drive and folder but it would come back with an error that the username or password were not recognized, even though I can access the NAS drive from other programs using the same credentials. I deleted Plex from everything, rebooted everything to include my router, NAS drive, and computer. Same result. I’m stuck.

I have a Marantz 1506. It was installed by a dealer with 3 connect amps and one connect. It incorporates a kitchen zone, living room zone (where the equipment and tv is), a bedroom zone, and a patio zone. Something happened to the connections and for the life of me I cannot get it back to normal. I cannot get sonos to play on the living room zone, on,y music straight though the Marantz. Also, the line in feature does not work for the bedroom. Does anyone have a similar setup and any suggestions? I am a level under extreme novice with this stuff. If it isn’t plug and play, I’m not good at fir hurting it out. Thanks.

Wonder if anyone can help. I use the true play on my 2 x ones and notice when I finish and look at the equaliser, the treble and bass are both set in the middle. I prefer lots of bass and lots of treble and adjust both up. My question is that by adjusting the treble and bass am I throwing out the true play tuning, or does it help even though I’m adjusting the end result (so is there any point using true play tuning in the first place...???) Hope this makes sense!!

Hi all. I've just set up a mesh wifi (BT Whole Home). I've factory reset my 2 One's and moved them to new positions and at the same time added a new Beam. Everything is fine from the Sonos controller app - I can stream from my NAS, stream radio etc. The problem is now Alexa. Alexa recognises the voice command e.g. "alexa,play radio 2" as it's repeated back e.g. "playing bbc radio 2 on tunein" but then nothing happens. I can ask questions via Alexa and get the answer back ok. Any ideas appreciated. I've submitted a diagnostic dump reference 2096180011. Thanks!

I know the newer Alexa enabled speakers create two entries in the Alexa app - one for the speaker and one for the Alexa part. But why do my older devices (Play:1, Play:3 and Connect) do the same? Can I deregister the alexa device in the Amazon site safely?

No support for vocie control in my country. I use the Sonos app on my iPhone. When I go to voice control it tells me that there is no support in my country (Denmark). When will it be supported?

This may seem like a stupid question. We build playlists by playing our library and deciding on songs for our playlists ie. dinner, upbeat, bedtime list etc. Sometimes we hear a song and can't recall if it's in a playlist. We add it to the appropriate list and then go to the list to discern if we have duplicated the song in the list. The problem is we can't organize the playlist alphabetically by song, artist or album. The library comes up alphabetically but not the play lists. Is there away to organize the play lists to identify duplicates?

Hey! I have a Sonos play 1 + playbar + sub + Sonos new Alexa enables Play One.. how can I ask Alexa to play on my playbar and Alexa at the same time? My playbar is connected through Sonos one so it’s on the network.... what’s the best way for this?

I have my own email and password for my amazon account to set up a SONOS ONE account linked to my alexus app on my phone. I want to add a SEPARATE SONOS ONE account for my girlfriend, who lives with me. She has her own email and password for her amazon account. Can this be done? A household profile seems to use the same account for two separate people, which is not what I am interested in doing. Any ideas?
