The optical cable supplied with the playbar fits nicely into the TV. However, it seems to be a bit loose in the Playbar. You can remove it almost by blowing. It works, but does not feel very solid, not tight. Is this normal?

My Play:1 is connected Via Ethernet to my laptop via firewire. I use SonoAir to be able to use it as an output for my MAC, allowing me to use it for youtube, etc. I make music and i have been able to make it work as an output in logic pro x audio settings. But there is that delay of some seconds which is annoying but i work around it. The quality is amazing for this speaker and a good innovation, Make it better by fixing this issue for all play:1 owners. And all future Sonos products. IM looking for a better way to get no delay to keep making good music. Im aware of buying an amp, which i will just not this second. what if...

Hello, I have 2 Echo Dots that work fine on their own. I have a Sonos surround system downstairs, Play 1 upstairs. I've connected everything with the Alexa skill for Sonos. I've eliminated any naming conflicts. Using Amazon Unlimited works flawlessly for me, pushing the music to the Sonos room of my choice. However, using Tunein is another story. If I play tunein on the Echo Dot without pushing it to Sonos, it works fine (I listen to Tunein on the Echo Dot every day). When I try to play Tunein on one of the Sonos rooms, it says it's doing it, but no sound ever comes out of the speakers. As I said, Amazon Unlimited comes out of the Sonos speakers from the Echo Dot just fine, so the Alexa to Sonos connection is fine. This issue is limited to Tunein. All stations I try. Both of my Sonos room setups. Both Echo Dots being used as the source. Anyone have any idea how to get Tunein to work properly like Amazon Unlimited is working? I'd love to be listening to these radio stations

I'm looking to round out my Sonos setup and was considering the Beam to replace my Echo Dot in the tv room. The only place I can put the Beam inside a cabinet. There would be clearance of 2 inches on each side and 3 inches on the top. The manual for the Playbar specifically says not to place it in a cabinet but the Beam has no such language. Anyone have any experience with the Beam in a cabinet? Also, my tv has an empty ARC HDMI. Will that transmit all the audio to the Beam from the tv regardless of the remaining inputs selected? Any feed back greatly appreciated, far more interested in the Beam placement comments...

New Beam not working with hdmi or optical cable have tried both can't see a hdmi arc output just a Dvi output Music works fine but not the TV I have a sky box

I have a Playbar, two Play1s, one Sub, and two Connect:Amps (one pushing 2 ceiling speakers for the surrounds, and one pushing 4 ceiling speakers for general purpose). I have the Playbar, Connect (with the 2 ceiling speakers) and the TV on the home network via Ethernet cable. I was told I can have the Connect:Amp push the surround sound to the theater setup but have not figured out how to do so in the app; I am using the Sonos app for Android to set things up.

I am wondering if I can create a home theater surround system 3.1 or 5.1 with a SONOS Connect (connected to two actice AudioPro speakers), a SONOS sub and 2 SONOS ONE speakers? Or do I need a SONOS Beam or so to make a surround system?

Hey all! I know this has been asked a thousand times already, but i still cant find an answer. Most of people here and on reddit seems to agree that 2 play 1/ONE in stereo are better than a play 5. Is it just the people listening at lower volumes and more mellow tunes that thinks this? The play 5 surely must be better? My current ONE struggles past 60% volume in my ears. I like to listen to mostly hiphop and EDM, and im thinking of either buying a second ONE or changing my current ONE to a play 5. Im only gonna use this in 1 room for several years. What is the better choice for loud and bassy experience? Thanks!

I have an update but when I try to update or re-install it is asking for user name and password. I know my password is right b/c I can sign into the Sonos website directly. I'm guessing that means my user name is wrong but it is pre-filling my user name with my first and last name. I've tried other variations as well including my email address as the user name (as you use when you sign into the Sonos website directly). Nothing is working. I'm in a dead end loop. Please help.

Hi, Bought a samsung nu8000 65" tv and for sound got the sonos playbar and sub. absolutely love this combo better then going to the theater!!! But my concern is no volume level meter showing me the volume level on screen can anyone please help me?

I have a sonos one, set up perfectly the first time then we had a WiFi account change and now will speak and say playing through Spotify or tune in radio but no sound come out??? I have re set speaker and still the same any help really greatful. I can play music manually through Spotify but not by voice.

I had a soundbar and sub in the living room for my TV. I decided to take the TV out of the room and put it upstairs taking the soundbar with it. I still wanted some background music in the living room so just bought a One to play there and want to use the sub with it. I can't get the sub to bond with the One. I don't understand the Sonos connection instructions to get it done. How can I do this? Also, before I get heat for having only one One, I am profoundly deaf in one ear and am unable to perceive stereo.

I have a playbar paired with 2 sonos ones. Thing have been working well. The playbar kicking in when I turn on the TV. everything is paired correctly I think. I can control the TV/playbar sound with my remote, which is what I want. I could also turn on spotify and control the music and the volume with the spotify app. Also, when I opened the Sonos app I could choose to turn the TV/playbar volume by selecting it in the app, but I would have to select it in the app. However, the problem is that now, recently for some reason whenever I try to adjust my phone volume, or manipulate the volume on my phone it changes the TV/playbar sound. I want to be able to change the volume on my phone, not on my TV. I don't need or want to control the volume on the TV with my phone. For some reason, it is linked. For instance, when I have the TV on the the background and I open up a video or an app on my phone I can't raise or mute the phone or app volume, I can only manipulate the TV / playba

Only getting sound out of one speaker. I can connect to either speaker(while stereo pairing) but can't get both to work at same time. The system had been working well with Wi-Fi pandora and CD player inputs! Any thoughts?

Hi Guys, I use Sonos for some years now and I'm very happy with them. Play:1's in some rooms (kitchen, hobby room, etc.) and a full surround setup in the living room (Playbar, Sub and two Play:1's). Using Echo dot and Alexa, the Sonos One seemed the perfect new investment. And so I pre-ordered a Play One and it arrived yesterday. Starting with using just one Play One as a separate speaker with Alexa was no problem, works perfectly (except Spotify, but that is a known issue). Just like using my Echo Dot. Pairing that Play One with one of my existing Play:1 speakers as a stereo pair, no go. So I went and bought me an extra Play One (yeah why not Sonos, you're welcome...). Pairing these two Play One's as a stereo pair worked fine, but Alexa was kind of confused when I ask something. Seemed like both speakers tried to listen and answer or something like that. So I unpaired them, removed Alexa from one of the One's and paired them up again and that seemed to do the trick

I've seen reference to the Controller 'auto-switching' between 2 networks .... not for me. I have to reset the controller to access the devices on each network. How can I have one controller which detects each network as appropriate?

Hi all. I like to watch the cricket on Satellite TV but listen to the radio commentary through Sonos. The issue is that the TV is 3.0 seconds behind the radio. Is there anyway to delay the Sonos stream to sync up ? Thanks Ian

Sonos app recognizes just one name but Alexa App calls same device Scott's Sonos One as well as Living Room. When asked a question Alexa responds that Living room is not online. Alexa App shows Scott's Sonos One is on line
