I have a Sonos bridge, two play1s and a play 5. My current internet connection is through my cellphone (tethering). I'm wondering how I could configure my system so that I can play the same thing out of all the speakers. Is there a way to do this? If not, is it possible to just have them create a mesh network with eachother (plug them into eachother through ethernet). And then use the line in of the Play 5 to repeat to all the other speakers?

Looking for a birthday present for my husband. Want to get started on a Sonos system in the house. We have a very open concept house. Living room, dining and kitchen all open to one another. Ethernet cable only comes in by tv in living room. WiFi throughout but we have century link dsl internet which isn’t amazing all the time. One bedroom on this floor we’d also like sound in. (Potentially one bathroom as well.) **The components needed for this floor is what I’d like to start with.** Eventually we want to be able to add surround and speakers to our family room in the basement. (And speakers to our kids rooms so they can play their own music as they desire.) I’d also like to add a turntable down the road - but am open to either integrated with the sound system in the basement or with the first floor. What do I want to get started? Hi Friends! Using the SONOS Controller for Mac app (desktop). When new songs start (on any music service), a pop-up window appears showing the song title/artist. I find this very distracting while working. How do I turn off this "notification" feature? Kind thanks! Linh

Power cable or truly wireless?

I'm curious if I can use my Traktor S2 dj turntables with my Play5. Have tried the line in, compressed, uncompressed, but I'm having the delay issues. Will a ZP90 or ZP120 remedy the issue? I've read too many forums and have my self confused. Below are my details and questions. Any input would be extremely helpful! Speaker Locations: 1. 3 zones w/ two speakers each: Kitchen, Dining Room and Back Patio. The wires for these three zones terminate in a utility closet near the kitchen and family room. 2. Home Theatre: 5.1 surround setup, with the two rear speakers in the ceiling. The wires for these speakers all terminate in a cabinet by the TV in the family room. Other / Misc. Info: 1. Family room TV on wall, HDMI wires fished through wall into cabinet with speaker wires, etc. 2. Xfinity / Comcast box is in cabinet. 3. 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray is in cabinet. 4. Outdoor TV on back patio. Has cable running to it and CAT-5 5. House is (mostly) wired w/ CAT-5 and switch is in upstairs closet (this was done by previous owner) 6. CAT-5 is loose-end in utility closet and in TV cabinet 7. I live in Sweden though, so if I buy a Sonos One today I can only use it as a Play:1. Whats the best way to get notified when other countries (such as Sweden) will get a working Alexa on a Sonos One?

Hello, For what I’ve read due to he P5 Gen 1 having 2.5Ghz wireless they are unable to support surround sound with a Playbar for the TV/Movies. Can you advise if it’s possible to connect the P5 Gen 1 via Ethernet to a 5Ghz WiFi router (making the speakers/signal now 5Ghz) and will the Playbar then connect and supports surround sound via a TV? Or if any alternative method will without needing to by the P5 Gen 2? Thanks in advance. Daniel

Hello all, I've got a Gen2 Play 5 which I've connected to the Flexson VinylPlay via the line in cable, however, the VP doesn't appear to be outputting sound to the speaker itself. I've adjusted the line in and double checked all the connections and everything is set up fine. I can stream music and radio stations to the P5 without issue, so I know it's not the speaker. I also adjusted the line in settings in the room settings on the controller, but I'm not getting anything out. I can hear the turntable is playing sound through its own internal speakers at a whisper, but nothing else. Any ideas? Does anyone have a technical support number for Flexson? I can't seem to find any helpful contact information on their site! Thanks, Andy

got a new playbar- connected to TV- sound was AWESOME.... went to add music- now can not get back to the TV volume- all that keeps coming up is " no music" please help:?:?

Are there size limitations to Imported Playlists? I had one playlist of about 20 that would not import. I. Tried and tried variations to get it to import. Only when I split it in three parts did the Imported Playlist work for those titles. The original playlist I created included about 3500 songs.

I bought some Sanus wall mounts for my Play 1's, and while they're good, at certain levels, the bracket rattles, and the actual mount on the wall vibrates. Im beyond aggravated. Anyone have any tips, suggestions?

I have just bought a bridge (BR100) so that I can create a Sonos network and get the Sonos mesh network setup to all me to reach rooms that are a long way from the router (the concrete walls in the house are not very WiFi friendly!). Buying from eBay I ended up with THREE of them! Is there any benefit to having more than one BR100? Only 1 will be connected to the router but will additional BR100 act as relay in the Sonos mesh network when just plugged into power (ie not connecting to an Ethernet cable)? Thanks

I'm considering using the connect:amp to drive my 20 year old Linn AV5140s. The Linn documentation says the amp must deliver at least 60W/4Ohms. Anyone with thoughts or experience using the connect:amp and older high-end floor standing speakers like the 5140s?

I’m sure that I could turn off the white LED on play 1 speakers but can’t remember how I done it and can’t see anywhere in settings to do it. The led is quite bright on the bedroom speakers and I’m having to unplug them at night. This is a bit inconvenient especially when I want to listen to music in the morning. Can anyone remind me where the setting is. Thanks Mark

Hi - recently bought a Sonos One which I'm very impressed with and inevitably am thinking about getting more. However, I bought it for my small home office which is only 12ft x 8 ft - the Sonos sits on one corner of my desk which is 5ft x 2.5ft. Is it worth getting another for such a small space? I've often read that just a single One fills a small room adequately and I agree but it's tempting to have stereo of course. Or should I just get another for the kitchen?! Any thoughts?

Hello everyone, I’m new. Please go easy on me. I’ve searched and not quite found the right question and answer, so here goes... I have 3 Play:1 units and a Playbar which I’m very happy with. I’d like to use Alexa and was gutted to find that the Play:1 doesn’t have a mic. I understand I can get an Echo Dot for £50 to overcome this, and will then be able to use Alexa to control the speakers. But... does this mean that I’ll need to buy a Dot for every room I want to speak in? Then it would be £150... and I might be better off starting to replace the Play:1’s instead? If I buy a Dot I presume I can connect to my ‘old’ Play:1’s (only bought a year ago or so - sob!) and will have to use the Dot for controlling other smart devices. But if I upgrade the Play:1’s to Sonos One’s bit by bit, I think I will eventually just be able to talk to the new Sonos One’s and never need to get an Amazon device at all. Can you tell me if these statements are correct? It will take me a
