Hi, Does anyone know how I can de-register (or de-couple) a Sonos One (with Alexa) from my Sonos account, so it can be registered with a new owner? To explain: I had a Sonos One and registered it to my Sonos account, and with the Alexa App. I have given it to my son and he would now like to add it to his own Sonos Account and set it up with Alexa on his own Amazon account. I've managed to decouple it from Amazon no problem, but can't find out how to do this in my Sonos account. One last point: The Sonos One is now in a different country (Netherlands) where my son is attending uni. Any ideas?

I just recently purchased four play 5's and one Playbar. I have a couple of questions... 1. Can I set it up as surround sound from my television with the Playbar as the center channel and two of the play 5's for left and right front and the other two play 5's for left and right rear? 2. ‎ If I can do the set up as described in the first setup is it Easy for me to switch from playing music on the play 5's from a different source and just leave the (Playbar) center channel for the television? What's the Beam setup for a TV/Receiver setup that already uses ARC and CEC? I have my TV connected via an HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC of my receiver. This set up works great because turning on the TV also turns on the receiver and everything just works. Can the new Sonos Beam work in this setup? I see that my receiver has another HDMI out called "Monitor2". Would the Beam connect there? Assuming it could be hooked up, how would it be turned on and used? My current setup is one-click to turn on both the TV and the receiver. I would like to avoid a multi-step process involving remotes, phone apps, and config menus.

I'll keep it simple, I'm assuming there is no way to increase the volume of just the center channel? I'd like to make it a feature request if that is correct. I find that in several films that the music and sound effects are much louder than the dialog. That's fair, but as a [u]preference [/u]I would like the dialog to be louder. In the past, with my old typical 5.1 system, I would just increase the volume on the center channel and it worked great. I know there is dialog enhance, but I don't find it helps enough and sometimes it just sounds odd.

Excuse me, I have just received an email from Sonos telling me that they are going to make my Sonos Dock, that I bought off them a few years ago, obsolete. They are actively making something that I bought off them obsolete, it works perfectly now, but after the software update in October they inform me it will no longer work within the Sonos system. I should ask for my money back, surely? And this comes from a company that prided itself on never making obsolete their early components. Actually flabbergasted by this announcement and really not at all impressed, bloody livid actually. Sonos, seriously reconsider this bloody stupid decision.

Updated my Play 5 and link to Alexa dot but will only play one song, even after forgetting all devices, still only one song?

Hi, I have a quick question before going out and buying stuff. I have one Sonos Connect and one Sonos Amp. My setup is the following: TV is connected via line-in on Sonos Connect where line out is connected to a receiver. Receiver has output to 4 ceiling speakers in my living room. The Sonos Amp is connected to my speakers outside on terrace, with no line in plugged in. (I only play music out there so use only Spotify app via Sonos). Now to my question. I want to buy a Google Home Mini so I can voice control my sonos system, and also (if possible) my TV via Apple TV (preferably) or Google Chromecast. How do I set this up with my curent set up.. I know I can connect a Google Chromecast Audio to either the Sonos Connect and Sonos Amp and then use Yonomi to be able to do this. But I dont know how to connect all the inputs and outputs to get this to work. My "living room line-in" is used by TV output, and the Sonos Amp (where I have a free line-in) only outputs to the speakers

I would like to get a couple sonos one and a playbar to connect to my Onkyo TX NR646 and existing sub to create a surround sound experience. From what I've been reading the Onkyo TX NR646 is NOT on the "works with sonos" list but have others been able to make it work? Maybe with sonos connect? Help!

Hi, I have two play:ones, and use them fairly regularly. But everytime I use it, without exception, the app freezes, loses the speakers or stops working. This has been a nightmare, especially when entertainment guests. Is this common or is there a fix? The app and speakers are always up to date in terms of software. Thanks

Up until today, when I updated the Controller on my Win10 machine, I've had no issues. The Controller worked fine and the rest of the system worked fine. My Sonos speakers are on a separate VLAN from my machine. I have a Virtual IP with a NAT 1:1 mapping set up so that my machine appears to be on the same VLAN as the speakers. Now the machine can't connect to the speakers any more. Something has changed in the Windows version of the Controller. What is it that changed? More detail: Win10 Machine on VLAN 2 Sonos speakers on VLAN3 Router running PFSense 2.4.3_1 (latest release, no changes recently) Virtual IP (IP Alias) on VLAN3 NAT 1:1 Mapping from machine's static IP on VLAN2 => Virtual IP on VLAN 3 As I said, this all worked fine until I updated to the latest Controller software and that was the only change anywhere on the network. Hi all After much deliberation, today I bought a Beam to go with my pair of Play 1s. I have to say that I am very impressed and it is a big improvement on my old sound bar. But... there is an issue that is bugging me. Audio is much quieter on channels that provide a stereo signal compared to those that provide 5.1. I have read that other people have experienced this, mainly with Samsung TVs I think but I have not found a post giving a solution. I am using a Sony Bravia and have tried different audio settings on that but there aren’t that many options. The source of content is from a TiVo box. Can anyone shed any light on a solution to this? Ideally I do not want to go optical. Thanks.

I have had my Sonos Beam for a couple of months now and it has all been working fine, and songs requested have played okay. Yesterday my partner requested a radio station to be played, Alexa used the TuneIn service. Ever since we have been unable to hear songs from Amazon Music Unlimited. I ask Alexa to play them and she says they will start playing but there is no music. Hi, I've had my Plabase + 2 Play:1 set up in surround mode for a year + without any issue. Everything on WiFi setup. The PlayBase has had a wired connection since i got it, but when I got the Play:1s I switched to WiFi as I did not want to add cables to the surrond speakers. A while ago I noticed that there was no longer any sound from the Play:1s. I tried to remove the surround, and re-add it. But it gives me an error. It goes through the set-up, I press the buttons on the speakers to add them to the surround. I get notified this: "Preparing the speakers in this room to work together. This may take a minute." I can play anything on the Play:1s on their own, but I can not add them to the PlayBase as surround speakers. It goes through the set, I press the buttons, and comes to: "Preparing the speakers in this room to work together. This may take a minute." Then I get: "Setup problem There was a problem preparing your speakers. Please check your network c

Purchased a Sonos One to use with Amazon Alexa and have discovered that although I can listen to my favourite radio station, when I ask the Alexa to sleep after any number of minutes, and it acknowledges, the Sonos does not turn off. This feature works perfectly with the Amazon Echo and Dot (which I also own). I have spoken with support who say that this feature is not currently supported however, as a result, I cannot keep the Sonos in my bedroom (where I bought it for), as I wake up every night now with the radio on in the background (which I don't want). Does anyone have a fix or does anyone know IF Sonos are working on resolving this as they don't have any way of checking via the technical helpdesk nor can they automatically inform me when it does become available.

Yesterday my son was in the middle of playing a game on his Xbox One when suddenly the speaker just stopped producing sound it suddenly cut off and 30 min later was making weird cracking noises or something. After that it hasn’t worked what’s so ever. The light shows that its on the buttons are working the app is too. Just no sound on Netflix, Tv, Xbox, Music from Spotify, iTunes Music. Nothing. We tried unplugging it. Nothing. We even rebooted the whole system. Nothing. It’s all set up. And yes the digital Optical cable is in and has the red light. My tv is a Samsung Smart Tv I alao purchased this like a month ago. So I doubt it’s the tv. Yes the tv speaker settings is set on “Audio Out/Optical” I’m disappointed. $700 and this is what I get I’ve only had this product for a couple of weeks! It was working fine. May I know, the meaning of the number that appears behind the "WM: " indication in the "About My Sonos System" dialog? I discover mine seemingly displays random number & the number changes depending on the number of devices that are powered on. So about a week and a half ago, I had some stuff stolen. A Playbar, a Play:3, and three Play:1s. I was able to recover the serial numbers off the "Registered Products" section of Sonos.com. All were listed there that night. Today I looked, and none of the stuff that was stolen is listed under that section, except the Playbar. Interestingly enough, when they took the Playbar, I don't think they took the power cord. Anyways, what I'm wondering is, the fact that those speakers that were taken are no longer listed as my registered products, does that mean they are now registered to somebody else? And does that mean somehow they can be tracked?

Sonos Beam - How do you connect multiple devices. Can i connect multiple devices and switch seamlessly. So for instance i have an LG TV (with ARC), BT Box, Apple TV and Xbox One S. How do i connect all to use the beam? Will it automatcally pick up the sound if i connect the beam my TV via the ARC port? Or would i need to hook each up to the beam using HDMI/Optical? Thoughts please?

Ryan S or anyone who works at Sonos, its inconvenient to have to say “switch to tv” every time we want the Beam to play tv sound. Since the soundbar is first and foremost for Tv, can you default the Beam to automatically switch itself back to Tv mode after playing music? That would create a more seamless experience

I live an area with many WiFi networks. My Sonos keeps dropping out or skipping in the middle of a song. I get a message that says “unable to play....”. Previously I had a Bridge wired to router and had very few problems. Bridge crapped out after about 10 years. Since it crapped out we switched to WiFi from Boost setup. Now we have problems. My question is will a wired Boost and Boost network help? My Sonos used to be so reliable. Not so much anymore.

When Alexa is asked to "Turn on TV" the beam turns my Toshiba TV on to the Sonos Beam screen saver HDMI-1 (ARC) and not onto the actual TV channels. I then have to use the TV remote to switch it to TV...Making using Alexa a pointless issue.. 2nd problem is if any other device is plugged into the remainder HDMI ports (Like android box) and tv speakers are off to use the beam as soon as the android box is turned off the beam disconnects and TV speakers come back on and can not be changed again unless the android box is unplugged from the HDMI port.. The only way I could get this to work with some normality was to use the optical adapter, so I could have the tv speakers off and the beam worked on both TV and android box. The only trouble is now there is no volume control via the remote due to TV speakers being off and no ARC to control the beam..So its "Alexa turn the volume down" or "Alexa turn the volume up" Oh sure I can do this via the app but I would have been better off just buying
