My sonos system is set up fully, all white lights... But my app won't find them at all. I have the play base, 2 sonos 1s and a sub. Everytime I open the app it says to set up the system. I just recently unplugged and replugged the router, but everything else works fine.. Passwords the same and the speakers are still talking to each other and playing audio in surround from my Chromecast. Any ideas why I can't connect?

I have an Echo Dot connected to a Connect via analog in...and the Connect connected from analog out to my speakers via a Sonance amplifier. I'm finding that, since starting the Sonos skill, when I talk to Alexa, her volume out of my Sonos/speaker setup is at such a low volume that it is barely audible. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds, and then volume goes up to normal. I have the volume control on the Dot set a maximum and the Sonos volume set at a normal listening level. Before setting up the Sonos skill, the volume was always fine...right where I set it. Interestingly, if I immediately invoke "Alexa" after she starts speaking (like if I ask for the weather), when I can barely hear her, and tell her to turn up the volume, her output immediately goes to the normal audible volume. Also, once the Sonos music starts, volume is normal, based on my volume setting in the Sonos app. However, if I again invoke "Alexa", her volume is low again.

Can you hide a playlist? I made a Christmas playlist, but now the songs keep playing well beyond Christmas. On iTunes I simply uncheck the boxes for songs that I don't want to play. Somehow this doesn't register in my Sonos. Help. I also made a Sonos playlist of Christmas songs. Do I have to delete the entire thing until next year?

It would be awesome if the volume control rocker switch on the actual Sonos units was more precise at low volume levels. Right now it makes fairly large volume changes with each click, but when trying to set it at night to play at a nice low level for sleeping it's hard to get it just right. Of course the remote control app on the phone offers very fluid and finite control of the volume, but when you're trying to sleep, and it's sitting right there on the nightstand, pressing the physical buttons on the unit is easier.

I would love to be able to play Sonos playlists by Alexa commands. This seems a natural capability since I spend so much time in the Sonos app. With this functionality I could concentrate all my playlists in Sonos, while already in the app for controlling sound level and other various functions. Is this a function that could be created in the near future?

No sound from DVD player I'm concerned to my tv with optical cable and cannot get sound from my blueray player. BR player has no optical out. I have HDMI and audio cables to tv. Suggestions?

My Sonos account is linked to my Pandora account and I can play Pandora stations using the Sonos app on my phone. But if I ask Alexa to "Play whatever station on pandora" she responds "I didn't find your pandora account. You can link your account using the Alexa app." But if I open the Alexa app and go to Music, Video, & Books and then click pandora it says "App Support Unavailable". What am I missing?

Once Google Assistant is available for Sonos One, will I be able to use it on my existing Sonos One or will there be a new product introduced to accommodate Google Assistant?

Sonos community, I hope you can help :) I am trying to control the volume through my cable remote and not the app. I have two Elipson Planet L speakers wired into my Connect Amp and the Connect Amp is connected to the TV through an optical converter. The setup is currently as follows: 1) Cable box to TV with HDMI cable 2) TV to audio converter (coaxial/optical to R/L audio converter) with optical cable (to get the best sound and avoid the lip sync delays with a 3.5mm audio jack) 3) coaxial/optical to R/L audio converter to connect amp with 3.5mm audio to R/L audio cable into the connect amp I tried connecting an optical cable from the TV to the cable box and then using R/L audio cables directly to the connect amp and this did not work. Bought the playbase but TV has no optical input to connect to the playbase - can this be converted to support the HDMI connection?

When playing music and getting an incoming call on my android phone there's no easy and fast way to mute the music, (as I now about). Is there any way to have this issue fixed. As it is today I choose to not play music due to incoming work calls.

I just got a new Remote control from AT&T that I use to control the TV (Samsung 55"). My current Remote works fine with the SONOs Playbar volume. Question: to get the volume control on the SONoS with the new remote; do I have to setup the playBar from scratch or is there an easier way?

It would be great to use play 1 as computer speaker. i dont want to buy other third party speakers, i just want to add to my sonos system! buy 2 and pair them. and if I need them elsewhere i can just move them and use them as normal. maybe an added feature on the mac app that would allow it to be mirrored the same way you can play music from you ipad now.

I currently have a 20+ year old system, including 2 Bose Accoustimass 5 speakers wired into the ceiling and subwoofer in one room and a pair of wired speakers in another, with an receiver and CD player. I'd like to wirelessly stream music but don't want to rip out my ceiling speakers, but can upgrade the rest of the system. I don't know anything about this stuff - is there a set up that can work with the current Bose?

The release notes for version 6 indicates that Trueplay is supported by Play:1, Play:3, and Play:5 units. Has anyone tried it on a ZonePlayer S5?

I have a playbar, sub and two Play:1 all connected wireless to my home network. (so nothing wired) Can i use one of the ethernet connectors at the back of the playbar to connect my smart-tv to my home network?

Hi there, I've recently been encountering various issues with my Ubiquiti UniFi network where the signal just disappears for hours on end for no apparent reason. I decided to reset my Sonos system and set it up using my Sonos Bridge over SonosNet rather than on my home WiFi network to help reduce interference on the 2.4Ghz band. Primary reason for this was that my Sonos Controller on my iPhone would often tell me it could not find the Sonos players, despite all being on the network. Heres what I have: BT HomeHub 6 acting as DHCP server for entire network and VDSL Modem to my ISP (WiFi is turned OFF on this BT HomeHub6) Ubiquiti UniFi Switch 8 connected to BT HomeHub 6 providing PoE to 2 x Ubiquiti UniFi AP-AC-Pros (one upstairs, one downstairs) Sonos Bridge and various other streaming media devices (Panasonic TV, BT TV Box, XBOX) is also wired into my UniFi Switch 8 to provide a reliable wired network for the SonosNet base (Bridge) for other players to connect to I ha

The regular sonos connect has an optical connection, which I believe I could use towards the LG soundbar. However, I’ve got a sonos connect amp, which I don’t understand if I can get to work together with my TV. Does anyone know if by using any kind of adapter or anyhow be able to connect the two units.

I have two Play 1’s the first is wired into my router by Ethernet and the second is not. I made some changes to my cabling and now both Play’s are connected via WiFi as I can see them on my network. How can I get back to my previous set up? Is it worth me pursuing this route? Thanks.

Hi, I have a Sonos Playbar and am looking to get an HDMI switch with optical out. There are quite a few questions about this on the forum already, which recommend a few reasonably priced ones. However, the one requirement I can't seem to meet is auto switch/auto sense i.e. the switch should automatically select the last input activated. Checking the ones on Amazon and most seem to come with a remote or manual buttons for switching. Can anyone recommend an HDMI switch that can be bought in the UK that has at least the following: - 4 HDMI in, 1 out - Optical out - Auto switch/auto-sense (no remote required) - ARC Thanks

I just upgraded to Sierra on my Mac and want to install the Sonos App. Nothing happens. It looks like in Sierra the third party install option is not available. There has to be another way to install it. Would like to stream music from my Mac. Currently it does work on my iPhone. Please help.

Is Sonos tracking user response to this update? I've been taking a screenshot of reviews from the Google Play Store daily. Here is a breakdown of the Play Store reviews from 10/7/2017 to 10/15/2017. 5 star: +8 4 star: -5 3 star: +32 2 star: +155 1 star: +396 I have attached screenshots for reference. At a ratio of 137.75 bad reviews (1 or 2 star) to every single good review (4 or 5 star), I think it's safe to say that most users don't like this update. I don't have stats from the Apple Store, but the reviews from there indicate IOS users have very strong negative reactions. From what I've seen on the forums, the response here is not much better. Can we expect some type of fix soon?
