We have a 5th generation iPod Touch we would like to use as a controller for the Sonos speakers in our home. When I search for "Sonos" on the iPod I do not get any results? The iPod is running iOS 9.3 and can not be upgraded per Apple. Per the app information it appears the 5th Generation iPod Touch running iOS 9 or late is suppose to work, but how do I install it on the iPod if search doesn't find it?

I'm in the market for a new TV - when I looked a few years ago, it seems that only Sony/LG consistently passed 5.1 to the playbar from their optical output. Looking at rtngs.com - it now seems that most/all Samsung also pass 5.1. Is that correct? Rtngs.com mentions "5.1 Passthrough ARC Dolby Digital" as Yes - is this what I need to look for?

I have 2 Sonos speakers in separate rooms. After I’ve gone through the set up process for the new speaker, I can still only seem to connect to and control the original speaker. What am I doing wrong? I would like to be able to play different music on each speaker but right now, my be Sonos plays nothing.

I've gotten Alexa up to the point where she says she's about to play some artist, and then nothing evert happens. When I manually play stuff via Sonos app, Alexa heard "Pause", but then doesn't even pause or stop. She will, however, tell me jokes. I have been through the factory reset procedure 5 times.

When I play music directly to my Sonos speakers (using the Sonos app), I experience no drops. When I play using airplay 2 (to my sonos soundbar, which is then grouped in the Sonos app with my Play 1's), I experience no drops on music output from the playbar but intermittent (1-5 second long drops every minute) drops on some of my play 1's. Is music played using AirPlay 2 more sensitive to wireless interference?

I am looking at getting surround sound for my new kitchen diner. I have a Samsung UE55F8000STXXU TV which has an ARC HDMI port so should support Alexa from the Sonos Beam....correct? Next question is what would I put with it? I am resigned to buy-in the Beam and Sub-woofer but I already own a Play:1, Play:5 and two Sonos Ones. Since the Beam has Alexa built in, I assume that using the two Sonos Ones is a waste of them? Can I use the Play:1 and Play:5 together? If not, guess I just need another Play:1? Any help/guidance appreciated!!

Although Beam not out, wondering which set up might be better? I gather the Beam is a central speaker, and so adding 2 x play 1's brings it up to same price as playbar. Which might be the better option?

On occasion while watching cable television, an intermittent loud thump occurs. I cannot tell if it is coming just from the Sub, the play:1s or the playbar or all at the same time. It does not happen continuously or everyday. I have updated the app and what I believe to be the firmware. Optical cable would be the next step outside of speaker replacement. Thoughts? Advice?

We had some problems connecting to our wi-fi so we started the set up process again but now there is no temporary SONOS network option available in my WI-Fi settings - so how can I proceed?

Why does my SONOS Playbase not automatically turn on when I power up my tv? I have to open the app to get it to play.

Hello! I am wanting to buy a projector for kids outdoor movie nights, and as such do not want to spend a lot on it. I am currently considering the Epson EB-W42. It only has a 2W speaker, so I am wanting to hook it up to my Sonos system (Playbar). The projector does not have any other audio outputs. I also have an Apple TV (2nd generation), which has an optical audio port. If I connect the Apple TV to the projector using HDMI, and then connect the Apple TV to my Sonos Playbar using the optical ports - will that work? Many thanks for your advice! : )

Hi, Isn't is possible to use the Bluetooth remote from the Samsung TV to adjust the volume on the Playbar. Connected via optical on the TV's 'One Connect'. I can use the remote for all but not the Sonos? I've tried the Settings and Remote Control Settings. The brand Sonos isn't mentioned on the list. The TV's software is up to date. I saw on an other topic to connect a Samsung IR transmitter that is delivered with the TV, but with this TV it's not. Am not able to install controller on my mac laptop (Sierra 10.12.5). When I click Sonos app link from Safari, nothing happens (I suspect file is being deemed a security risk by OS). When I click app link from Chrome, get warning of risky file. When I confirm to proceed (why wouldn't I trust Sonos??) I get a Chinese install window per image below (all settings english - I checked). Please advise on how to proceed. For a system that is supposed to be seamless and fool-proof, I am surprised at the number of challenges I have faced at every step. Original wireless setup failed on multiple attempts and required multiple help centre conversations (eventually requiring boost device despite strong 60Mbps signal in every corner of my house), Alexa in Canada is garbage (unless you are willing to conduct major brain surgery through a 100 or so lines of instructions posted by users online) and now the Mac OS app is garbage. Please Sonos - at least try to live up to your promise!!! [img]

I recently changed the name and password for our Wifi router and I cannot get our Sonos unit to be recognized even though I have changed the network preferences etc to the new info. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

My bridge seems to have died, no lights anywhere on it, I can’t find a suitable adapter to try to rule that out, I may order one but if that doesn’t work can I order a boost instead of it? I have all original Sonos speakers, 2x play 1’s, 2x play 3’s, 2x play 5’s and a Sub. Thanks in advance, Jason.

My connect amp is flashing alternately yellow and white and the speakers are not working. My other amp is working fine in a different room with different speakers. I have turned it off and reconnected it to the system but fault remains the same Any help please ?

I know the Playbar is 3.35 inches in height but I need to know if it will fit with either of these tvs? I have a slight idea of the height with the legs on the tv but don't want it getting into the screen at all

I have 6418 tracks from Amazon in an unsaved queue and am trying to save it as a playlist. When I try this I get the following message: "Sonos doesn't have enough free space left to save the queue. Remove old saved playlists or queues in other rooms, and try again" [img]6cd67536-e68e-47b7-89f3-221beb28ea21.png[/img] I have cleared out all other queues in the system without success. I recall something about Sonos having an overall limit of 10,000 tracks for all playlists. However, I only have one other playlist that totals 1311 tracks so this would not hit this limit. I'm aware of the 500 track limit when adding Amazon tracks to a playlist but was hoping this would be a workaround. Has anyone else encountered this issue and/or found a remedy? Thanks.

Hi, i have 3 sonos one in my living room which have always worked perfectly but suddenly Alexa can't find any music artists, only playlists. So when I say Alexa play Metallica, she just reply i could not find any songs by Metallica. I have an English amazon account, and all my devices have an english adress in the alexa app. I think everything is installed correct. Skills as well are correct installed. Please help me get alexa back to normal.

I have an existing sonos play 1 in the living and got a new sonos one for the kitchen. I set everything up and cant get alexa to control either of the speakers all that well. When i ask it to play in the Kitchen, it says it cant find a device called "kitchen". When i ask it to turn down the volume, it flashes and nothing happens. Or i ask it to play michael jackson on pandora and it says "getting michael jackson playlist, playing on kitchen sonos, sorry kitchen sonos is offline". HELP, Im going crazy.
