Hi I have a pair of One's , one is in the living room and the other is in the dining room. Sometimes when I ask Alexa a question they both answer or one will answer followed by the other a few seconds later. Any ideas how I can rectify this so only one answers? Thanks

I have a Playbar connected to my tv and a Sonos One in another room and other Sonos speakers in other rooms. I am able to group rooms in the Sonos ap to play the tv on any other speakers. How do I tell Alexa via my Sonos One to play the sound from the playbar (while it is providing audio for my tv) in other rooms? Everything I have tried is met with a dead end.

I have a master bedroom zone incorporating a Sonos connect amp currently connected to two speakers and a sub woofer. I want to connect my new beam (I will receive on Tuesday) to my TV and my Sonos connect amp to create a 5.1 home theater set up in my master bedroom. How do I do this?

Hey Sonos Team! We really need an auto-update feature! I work with 300+ rental properties in Park City, UT, and whenever you push out an update, it automatically updates on everyones phones (iOS & Android), but when guests check-in to a rental, the Sonos equipment at the property doesn't let them play music until they update the Sonos first. Hi all! I was wondering if it was possible for the Sonos system (playbar, 2 x ONE , sub ) to properly process music mixed for 5.1 . Pink Floyd DSOTM 5.1 mix for example. Or does it down mix it and just give stereo sound to the front and rear channel (along with frequencies to the sub).

Tried to run Sonos (6.4) from my iMac today. It refuses to run and gives me the message "We need Sonos running on the latest software. Choose check for updates to get started." If I follow the advice I am forced to accept the new privacy rules which I will not do. Any advice on how to make Sonos run on my iMac without accepting the new privacy conditions would be much appreciated. It was my understanding that for people like me Sonos would slowly but surely be phased out. I had never expected it to block access completely.

I have three Sonos speakers: a Play:1 in the Kitchen, a Play:5 in the adjacent dining room, and a Play:1 in the living room. I also have an Echo Dot in the Kitchen, and I have enabled the Sonos skill in Alexa. I have placed all three of Sonos my speakers in an Alexa group called "Downstairs". Alexa can't find it. At best, I can specify one speaker, say "Kitchen", and hope the other speakers are linked somehow. Also, Alexa can't find any Sonos playlists. Or, adjust the volume of the Sonos speakers. What exactly can Alexa do with the Sonos skill? Because it seems like, not much of nothing.

I understand that you can start a song on Apple Music using Siri with AirPlay 2 - once started with Siri you can then ask Alexa questions like “what song is this?” and use Alexa to pause or skip a song with Siri, Apple Music and Alexa working together. What other things can Alexa do after a song is started with Siri using AirPlay 2? I have looked for video demonstrations online but haven’t found anything in English. Also can you ask Alexa to like a song on Apple Music once initially started with Siri using AirPlay 2?

My order says "delivers by July 17". Does this mean it will be shipping in the next few days and I could expect it on or before July 17, or are they shipping it next week and I would receive it 4-5 days later? Just curious, and somewhat excited!. Thanks

Hi everyone. What are the cons by getting two "One" as stereo set instead of a "One" and a "Play1" as a stereo set? I think there is some money to save and I suppose that you only can use voice control with one of them? :-)

How do I control the sonos one volumes from my Apple TV remote?

No Sonos yet, but soon. I have a large rectangular (not square) loft room. in one corner, there is a TV. in the other corner is the kitchen. all one open room. I just pre-ordered a Sonos Beam and ordered one Sonos One. The Beam will go in front of the TV. Ideally, the One would go into the kitchen on the other end. I could purchase another One and place it in the middle of the room, if need be. I would like to hear good TV sound with some surround sound when I sit down in front of the TV, and use the system for music (amazon music unlimited) when I am cooking. in this sense, the One ( + One ) should not always act as surround speakers, but there are cases where they should behave as such. the system could be smart and figure out what the speakers should be from the input source, or I could use voice commands. how should this be done? advice appreciated.

Hi all happy people! I am thinking of getting two Play:5 and connect them to a Playbase. But before I do that, how does the setup work? When I connect them all together, do I get an option if they should be front or rear speakers? Or maybe it doesn't matter? Since its only Left and Right channels? Thanks for any answers! What are the steps for connecting Play:1 or Play:5 to Apple Home?

Got my new Beam delivered today and it needed an update, Update failed (I have been trying all day to update) Error code has been 30 Beam. At the moment it is totally unusable when connected via HDMI ARC to my LG TV. Is it locked until the release day or have I got a faulty unit? I have other Sonos speakers and they are all ok. Is there a way to turn off the chime on the Sonos one when you say “Alexa”?

I've been using my sonos connect cleanly for several years now without incident until now. If I launch the sonos app, it says its trying to link my players to my account. I eventually get the screen "Setup problem. Check your internet connection and make sure all of yours speakers are plugged in."... I see in other posts, where you ask if the sonos device is wifi or not. I have plugged it into my network via ethernet cable but still can't get anywhere with this app. I'm not trying to add any new sonos devices but simply get back to controlling my connect through it. What's the next step?

I have some large Sonos playlists and I haven't figured out how to eliminate duplicates. This can be particularly troubling when combining two existing playlists (e.g. adding a 100 song playlist to an existing 500 song list). Typically, I would look for a sort function, sort the playlist by song title, and scroll thru, identify the duplicates, and delete. However, I haven't been able to find a sort function.. Has anyone solved this?

I recently added the Fire Cube to my home setup that consists of Sonos Ones and Play:1s through out. It seems that the Fire Cube takes over when using Alexa and channels all of the audio output through it's small speaker. When asking to play music, it attempts to start Spotify through the cube, utilizing the TV. Aside from renaming the Fire Cube's Alexa function, what else could I do to get it revert to the Sonos as the primary audio source?

Hello everyone I have a Sonos One and two Play:1s. Can I ask the Alexa on the Sonos One to play one kind of music on there and ask it to play different music on the Play:1, which is in another room? So far, all I've managed to do is get the Sonos One to play the same music across all the speakers by making a 'Group' within the Sonos app. But how about playing different music? If this is not possible, might a software update make this possible at some point?

I have a Playbase and just added (2) Play 3's. The Playbase is under my TV and when sitting at center, it is 11' 3" in front of me. My (2) Play 3's are only 4' 2" behind me and spaced approx 4.5" apart. I CAN BARE EVEN HEAR the Play 3's. I went through the auto setup, then the manual setup and set the Play 3's at the furthest distance on the app even thought they are not that far away. Still no luck. I tried all the audio output options on my TV - Dolby, Bitstream, etc etc, all of them.... still no luck. No matter how loud I turn up the volume the Playbase drowns out the others. I like to hear the sounds from behind me, I wish there was an option for a rear fade or at least turn the Playbase down. OR Sonos come out with an update that re-calibrates the sound weighting on surround ... OR tweak the 10' away set up to be a louder option for the add on speakers ... I mean, c'mon .... all these options and can solve this simple issue? If i'm not missing someththing and there is no

Exactly what do I need to buy to get my existing Play Ones and Fives to work with Alex?. At present I have no Alexa device. Will the new Sonos One have Alexa built in or will it need an external source?
