Hi all. Since the latest update my Beam has lost its ability to turn my tv on or off. It has been working flawlessly but now I get the response “sorry, lounge tv is not responding.” Has anyone had this issue and managed to solve it?

Since the latest Sonos update our Alexa music connections no longer work. Alexa introduces the song, album or artist and then plays nothing? I've logged out of accounts and re-entered details and still no luck. Had everything working perfect before update, not happy Sonos!

I am planning a trip to the Us. Due to VAT and currency it is much cheaper to buy Sonos in the Us than Europe. As they have som different electric current I am worried that the Sonos equipment bought in The Us will not work in Europe. Has any of you tried this and can I just plud in it here in Europe?

Got my Beam installed yesterday and it’s really great but having problems getting Alexa to control Spotify through it. Works on all my Dots around the house so not sure why not on the Beam. Everything seems connected from an account perspective (Sonos connected to Spotify connected to Alexa). BTW Alexa works via the Beam for other skills like weather and time etc. Any ideas anyone?

So I have a home theatre set up with The soundbar, sub & two gen 2 play 5’s. Why does airplay 2 not work when the play 5’s are set as surrounds, similar to the Aux not working when set up this way. I just wish I could have the home theatre grouped and set up, and still control music from AirPlay 2. Surely this can be sorted with an update, no? Just to confirm, it does work when the play 5’s arent in set as surrounds.

Can we have an honest answer here guys. The sonos one has been out now for a year, some new features added to appease some users. Some of us though have been patiently waiting for our sonos one with alexa to get up to speed. Issues such as napster integration, ducking, apple music, local files playback, multi room, calling, routines etc just seem to be forgotten about. We get the fact that sonos wont/cant give road map timescales but snippets like we are working on this or this has been discussed with whoever would certainly help. I feel sorry for alexa in my house, i ask it to do something, it cant, it then gets told its rubbish and gets switched off immediately. Right now, my opinion is the sonos one was a waste of money linked to ridiculous hype.

Hi, I have recently updated the app on my two android devices and obtained the new max vol option on both. However, last year I bought an iPad mini first generation,purely to be able to trueplay my speaker's. I realise that iOS 10 or above is required,so made sure the older ipad ran this..it does.Have since tuned my speaker's successfully a number of times but now since the update all room settings,trueplay,treble bass settings etc have dissappeared completely.i have reset the controller, uninstalled and reinstalled the app without success. Please help as I have just bought another play one and can't return......HELP....Thanks in advance steve

I have a beam along with two play 1's as surrounds and when playing music the play 1's are significantly louder than the beam. Is there any way of balancing the volume on the 3 devices to get a more distributed sound?

My son moved into my home bringing his own Sonos device. When he logged on with his account, all Sonos devices in my house which were registered on my account suddenly where registered under his account and had to transfer ownership to my account to get access again. How is this possible? He did not have access to my account. How can this be prevented?

I have no interest in "smart" speakers. I just want to use Sonos as a way of streaming audio from my devices. Is it possible to completely disable Alexa and Siri voice control of the Sonos system using the Sonos app, rather than a button on the speaker? I know this is possible with the HomePod, but I've heard it's not with Sonos One. We have a 7-year old daughter with friends that have these speakers, so she knows how they work. My concern is that she will just press the button on the speaker to turn the functionality back on if that is the only way to turn it off.

At the moment im owning a yamaha ysp 2700 soundbar. Before that i had the playbar but ended up selling it cause it lacked HDMI. Now that the beam is out with hdmi im seriously considering switching back. I think the ysp 2700 is the better soundbar, but sonos is sonos. I have a rather large living room (9m by 6m) and im sitting at 4m from the soundbar. Is the beam capable of throwing sound that far in the room? Thanks :)

Hi Support community, my Harmony Ultimate Remote stopped controlling volume on my SONOS soundbar within the last month. Environmentally nothing has changed. Same wi-fi, same tv same tv service, etc. I have disconnected the Harmony hub and reset it, I have done the same for the remote, nothing. I even have one of the Harmony sensors right underneath the soundbar IR (not sure if it is necessary or not but I found it working best this way since I don't always have the remote facing the IR - may be in a different room). Remote controls the TV and the DirecTv box with no problem. What to do?

Thank you for the latest UI update on Sonos Controler, looks better. One feature that I have been missing for a long time is a simple [b]shortcut key for pause and play[/b]. For example F5 or Space. Now Spece/Enter do the trick IF you have the Play/Pause button activated, but if you have for example just adjusted the volume, Space/Enter do nothing. Also good UI design requires that all the functions that you have on the UI should be accessible without clicking with mouse.

The title pretty much says it all: where are the microphones located? Are the at the top of the speaker? The bottom? Where?

The Sonos Controller for Mac looks like it was designed in the 1990s, the interface of the iPhone/iPad app is so much better to use and nicer to look at. Why has this not been updated?? When with the Mac Controller be updated? it can't be that big of a job to reskin it . . . ?

Reading a review of v 9.2 both Engadget at Mac World talk about our new ability to set a Max Volume in a roon, yet I see no way to accomplish this. Any suggestions?

I currently have an existing home theatre 5.1 surround sound in wall wired speakers and whole house audio that consist of in ceiling wired speakers in 4 separate rooms (circa 2010). They are are currently run by a receiver that has 5.1 and a switch that allows me to run different media into the other rooms. Now that I am using Apple TV solely (no cable/Fios just internet), I would like to clean up and simplify my system while using the existing speakers. Ideally, I like to be able to play Hulu TV or a movie using 5.1 surround and extend to other rooms, or be able to strictly airplay from my phone to other rooms while someone else is watching Apple TV. Sonos AMP looks promising but doesn't support 5.1 surround with existing wired speakers and do I have to get multiple devices in order to incorporate the whole house audio? Any solution options would be helpful. Thanks!

Hey community. I am wondering if it is possible to set things up in this arrangement in a new build. I have the idea in my mind, but I'm not sure if it actually works. In the living room, I want to set up the TV to be connected to a Playbar, then bond a Sonos Sub to it. Then where things will get funky is that I also want to bond a new Sonos Amp (powering 2 in ceiling speakers which happen to be way behind the TV) to be the surrounds. Effectively a 5.1 channel setup for the TV (as long as the 5.1ch signal is fed through the optical in to the Playbar, which decodes it to the sub and in ceiling surrounds. If this works, the idea is also that whenever I play music to this zone, it will fire up all the speakers; Playbar, Sub, and Amp (in ceiling) at the same time as well. Can a Sonos Amp even just act a part of a zone and not be its own?? Does this work? Has anyone tried something similar with a Connect:Amp, Sub, and Playbar? I received a phishing email after I started using Radio by TuneIn through the Sonos app. It stated I had a trial for 1 week and then I would be charged $34.99 per month. When I clicked on the review/Cancel link, it asked me to log into my Apple ID. Then it stated I had to Unlock my account, and then enter all kinds of information from SSN to driver license, mother's maiden name, you name it. Has anyone else experienced this? I reported this to Apple. But I feel this is a Sonos problem.

I have tried researching this but have found very little info that wasn't very helpful. I have Playbar, Sub, and two Play 1s in rear. (5.1) I would like to add two Play 3s on either side of my Playbar to widen the origin of sound in front of me. The only way that I see to add speakers is for surround, but these Play 3s would need to play L&R sound. Is 7.1 sound supported by Sonos, or is there a way around this? I wanted to ask someone on here before I go blow $500 only to find out it doesn't work. - Thanks

I have been looking to get into the Sonos community and I think the Beam will fit my needs. I am looking to replace my current amp and bookshelf speakers with the Beam. So my final setup is hopefully my TV and turntable connected into the Beam. The TV part is simple, but I am looking to see if anyone has had success with connecting a turntable to the Beam. I have a Audio Technica LP120, with a prebuilt phono preamp.
