Hello, first post so please go easy! I received my Beam on launch day and setup seemed to be a breeze. I managed to integrate it into my system (2 other Play 1s) and music plays (still plays) without issue. The issue seems to be with the connection to my LG TV. Initially this all worked, sound was good and Alexa turned it off/on and adjusted the volume. After a couple of hours use the Alexa control over the TV seemed to stop working but the TV sound was fine. Then the TV was turned off via the remote and since turning it back on the speaker does not output any TV sound - music/radio can still be played via the Sonos app. I’ve checked my settings and confirmed HDMI ARC is selected and CEC is on. I’ve tried powering down both the TV and the Beam and also repeatedly used the app to connect the speaker. When I try to test the Simplink connection I see a HMDI 2 (ARC) pop up on the screen but then the test fails - I’ve tried this repeatedly and get the same results. When this

I set up our new Beam, and while it is working fine, when we attempt to use the volume control on our Comcast remote, we see an obnoxious "Not Available" message on the TV every time we turn the volume up or down. Has anyone else experienced this? For what it's worth, I had to use the optical cable setup because our Samsung TV doesn't have an HDMI Arc connection.

I do not have HDMI ARC on my TV so I'm using the optical converter to get sound from the Beam. However, the sound keeps going in and out and I cannot get a good connection. I feel like the optical input is in all the way but whenever the cable is moved or bumped, I lose the sound. Any suggestions?

What sound will the Sonos Beam (only using this speaker in my TV set-up) output when using Sky Q? Am I right in understanding it will be Dolby Digital?

I just “switched” from Bluesound due to the more mature Sonos software and Apple Music compatibility which was supposed to make my life simpler. Now that I have everything up and running I’m disappointed in a couple things. Most importantly, why is there no native iOS widget to enable Sonos control from the lock screen or notification center? A previous Sonos system I set up for a friend had native control on the lock screen which, I understand, is now disabled in V9 due to Airplay 2 issues. Fine. But why not a widget as an alternative? This is just something I’ve always used, and apparently took for granted, in Bluesound and is now sorely missed.

Does anyone know how to remove an Alexa account from the SONOS app on an Android? 1) I removed the SONOS skill from the Alexa app, deregistered the SONOS, and then logged out of the Alexa app. 2) I logged out of the Amazon shopping app. 3) In the SONOS app, I go to "Voice Services" > and the Amazon Alexa account is still there. When I select it, I have the standard options for Room Settings, View Alexa Setup, and Learn More. Neither of the three have an option to remove the account. Am I missing something here? How do I remove the Alexa account?

All has been great with my Sonos One for months. Come in the door and ask Alexa to play stuff and she always obliged. All was great this morning while working in the kitchen and told her to stop playing and she did. Came in this afternoon and called her name and don’t get the bong. Called her again... nothing. Third time and nothing so I pulled her plug, waited a minute and plugged her back in. After a few minutes still no response to ‘Alexa.’ I even yelled right in her ear. Any ideas to get her working again? The app says something about no internet connection but everything is working fine elsewhere as far as that is concerned. Not sure what I’m missing.

Hey guys Just picked up at ATV 4K and I cannot figure out the settings for it to pass 5.1. I have it hooked up to a Samsung Q7F QLED tv. My Xbox one and PS4 are having no issues with 5.1. When I go into setting on the TV it will not let me select Dolby. I have tried different cables and inputs with no luck. I have Dolby 5.1 selected on ATVs audio output. Anyone have this problem or solutions?

I am having trouble listening to full Dolby 5.1 through my PlayBase, Sub, and two Play:1's. My Sonos app reads "Stereo" for the Audio In information under "About My Sonos System". The sound comes through on all 4 speakers, but it is hardly 5.1. It all sounds the same. THEN, after playing around, I figured out that connected my PlayBar to my Xbox One through an Ethernet Cable allows me to see "Dolby Digital 5.1" instead of "Stereo"... BUT now I cannot connect my Xbox One to WiFi because it now thinks I have a Wired Connection... [b]Is there a way to get Dolby Digital 5.1 through an Xbox without connecting the Xbox to the Playbar via an Ethernet Cable? 1. Scan for devices using Wi-Fi. 2. Sonos Beam detected and chosen. 3. Setup ask me for the correct modell. A) Sky S14 B) Origen AE Technology S14V C) Technicolor S14B 4. I dont know which one to use but none of them manage to commuincate with by Beam. I have also tried to bypass the Hub (Remote directly to Beam) without success. So what to do to get it to communicate directly with Beam? I have verified that i'm connected to Wi-Fi. I know that you could use HDMI ARC on the TV to change volume through the TV but I prefer this and it should work.

I've given this two attempts so far and am getting pretty frustrated with the process. Hoping this can shortcut me to a solution. :) I just got my Sonos Beam. It's setup and working fine as a standalone speaker (I can play music on it through the Sonos App), and it's also working fine as a speaker for my TV (connected via HDMI-ARC). I also have an Amazon Echo in the same room. I'm trying to power on/off my TV using Alexa. When I say, "Alexa, turn the TV on" she responds with, "Sorry, I didn't find a device named TV." From within the Alexa app, when I select "Add Device," the discovering devices wizard begins but always comes back with "No new devices found." ???? Thanks, Chris

Hi, I have an echo dot and a sonos setup in my living room, it all seems to be working fine in general (e.g. streaming music/radio by voice command). I also have a record player which can stream via bluetooth to a speaker - and I can connect this to the echo dot and play on its internal speaker. However, I would like to direct the output to the sonos setup. Is this possible? I tried various voice commands (e.g. 'play on living room', 'play bluetooth on living room' etc.) - but they aren't accepted. Is it possible to use an echo dot as a bridge in this way? Thanks

Hello, can the beam adjust volume using TV's IR remote if it is connected via HDMI-ARC? The Beam will cover my TV's IR sensor but I would like to connect it via HDMI. Will I be able to adjust volume through the Beam's IR sensor when the TV sensor is blocked?

This must be a dumb question, but where are my Sonos playlists? I've just created a few playlists (e.g., tap the three dots...Add to Sonos Playlist...name a New Playlist, etc). Got a confirmatory message that songs were added to playlist such-and-such. But now I don't know where to find the playlist to actually play it. I thought there'd be a "Sonos Playlists" within the Music Library (along with Artists, Albums, Imported Playlists, etc), but I don't see it there. Surely this is an obvious thing that I'm missing. I'm using the new Sonos Controller (v8), which I just updated to yesterday... Thanks.

Playbar makes an intermittent popping sound while watching tv. I have it connected to a Vizio M60 via optical cable. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi -- I can't explain this (annoying) strange behavior: within an album, my tracks are not always sorted by track number. When it is not the case, the order is not neither alphabetical. All my tracks have correct tags. All my track number tags are correctly filled. The "sort by track number" is selected in the Controller's options. Any help?

My CR200 has frozen during the most recent update. The blue update line is around 75% across the screen. Any suggestions?

I have received and configured the new BEAM and grouped it with two Sonos Ones with a Sony A1. The Beam is ethernet connected to the house network and ARC connected via HDMI to a Sony A1 TV. I also have a Sonos 1 in a separate group. Alexa is working on the Beam and L/R Sones Ones - answers questions - tells the time - controls Hue lights etc. However: Alexa - when requested to play music from Tune In / Amazon Music etc (all configured in the Sonos App) - acknowledge the request. I have had a playbase for 6 months working absolutely fine with a 7 year old Samsung, blue ray player and Apple TV. I have updated to an LG B7 OLED, Sony 4K blue ray player and a Apple TV 4K, however the playbase is really quiet and I am getting inconsistent performance. It seems to me like when it is receiving a 5.1 signal it is only playing the centre channel, I say this as it is outputting background and action sound, but dialogue is very quiet and I cannot hear it. If I switch the source to Stereo it seems to resolve the issue, but I cannot change the 4K player to a stereo signal. If you can provide any advice that would be great, as I’m gutted it’s not working!

Hi, I have received the new beam and is now connected to the TV, Samsung 6 series, and all works great. The issue starts after turning the TV off. Come back a couple of hours later, turn TV on and no sound. TV knows it’s still connected to external device, but the beam has decided to turn off its source input. I have to open the app again and select TV. This is a bit of a pain especially for visitors who don’t have the app on their phone. Is there a way to maintain the selected source on the beam. Since purchasing the Apple TV 4k, I get about 1/2 second audio dropout once every three songs or so and during shows or movies. I don’t have this issue if I am streaming to the PLAYBAR from my iOS device from the Sonos app, but just when watching something or playing music directly from the new Apple TV. However, if I listen to audio from the Apple TV with Bluetooth headphones, there are no audio dropouts. Any help is appreciated!

My zone player 90 has not been updated in many years (house rented out for 6 years and I don't think tenant used it). My sonos app on my phone can connect to it and then checks for updates.....and hangs. I can't get further than this. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, I have tried updating from another device. I have switched it off and back on again but no luck so far. Can anyone help??
