Hi. I have a sonos play.1 and 2 Echo speakers. If I buy the Sonos Beam, can I use the 3 aforementioned portable speakers as the surround sound for tv, with the Beam?

Hi everyone, so basically my question is whether there are any hue lights that can sync up with the standard sonos play 1 speaker. I've heard that Phillips hue lights don't have any built in functionality with sonos but there are third party programs that can allow you to do this? I'm running with windows and an android phone, cheers for any help

Hello, I want to use a Sonos beam with my Samsung QM49F monitor. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have neither arc nor optical out. I only have hdmi and displayport in and "audio out". Is this monitor possible to use with a beam? Can I use a splitter maybe? Best regards Mattias

Alexa will no longer start playing radio, Spotify or audible via my Sonos beam. It responds e.g. "BBC radio 4 from TuneIn" but then nothing plays. I've also contacted Amazon in case it's their problem. Diagnostic report: 1233412052

Hey All, I've tried searching to see if this has been asked before, so if it has I apologize. I've had to resetup our sonos system in the office, and now everytime someone wants to connect to the sonos system for the first time, they choose connect to an existing system, then they have to press the play pause button on their nearest speaker. Is there a way, or a setting I'm missing to disable that and to just let them connect? I mean it isn't a massive hassle, but it is kind of a pain. Most of the speakers are all hard wired in, not sure if that matters, and we also have a boost. Thanks for any help!

Is it possible to link any other third party sub woofers to a beam at all??

My subwoofer has recently started making what can best be described as a rattling/popping sound randomly throughout playback. The fact that this is a recent development makes me concerned that this is some type of physical defect as opposed to any type of software issue. If it cannot be fixed via some type of software update, what is the policy as far as repair/replacement?

The Sonos AP was so easy to use, choose the rooms, choose the music and play. Then using my Apple Watch or the phone lock screen you could, pause, play, change tracks, change volume. Instant control with minimal effort. New AP update arrived and it’s now a real pain as it now involves have getting the phone out, go through the unlock process, find and open the AP just to change volume. This is such a backward step in functionality and disappointing.

Hi, I have a faulty speaker which Sonos are replacing. They have provided me with a DHL RMA Label to return the defective unit to them but no instructions as to where i need to take it to get the return processed. The carrier is DHL. Can anyone advise what I need to do??

Have paired my laptop to a beam but no sound on the beam just on the laptop

I am interested in purchasing a Time Capsule to backup a customer's iTunes library. If I am not mistaken the Time Machine backup on the time Capsule is encrypted and compressed. Can Sonos read the music on the Time Capsule without the use of any laptop or iMac running?

Just received and connected my new beam. Sounds great! I'm sure I read that after syncing your TV remote to the beam that your TV remote would still work with tv menus etc by using IR sensor in the Beam. The beam stands slightly higher than my Sony bravia tv and therefore blocks the ir sensor so I can't control tv menus just volume via Beam. Looks like I'm going to have to raise height of tv so ir receiver can see the controller... Unless I'm missing something with the beam setup?

Hi, I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV, since I already have two Bang Olufsen BeoPlay S3 that I think have good enough sound I would like to use them as the surround speakers. My S3 speakers can be connected with cable to each others to create stereo sound. Would it be possible to connect them to a Sonos product and then get them to work as the surround speakers?

When I ask Alexa to play a song, her response is that my "Amazon Marketplace settings are not properly configured for this device" (a Sonos One). Alexa works in all other respects. I've checked everyone on Amazon's end, and I can't see where the problem is. Here's some facts to consider. 1. We are US expats in London. We have 2 Amazon accounts, and I've made certain that the Amazon Music Unlimited account is tied to the UK account, and that the Amazon music services in Sonos are also tied to the UK account. Same thing for Alexa. 2. I wonder if the issue in any way related to the fact that my Sonos app comes from the US Google Play store, and not a UK-based Google Play account? Anyone else have the same problem when you ask Alexa to play a specific song?

Not sure if anyone had this problem before. I did a search and didn't find anything similar. My Playbar connect to my TV using optical cable. It also connects to my router that thus goes to the Internet. Was working fine for last 2 years. Suddenly a few days ago, it stop making sound. A few observations. the side light is white. The network ports lights are also solid (instead of the usual flashing seen on PCs) I powered it down by unplugging it. And then powering back on. White light solid on the side. No sound. Network port's lights also solid. Can't connect to the Playbar by the app. (all internet is working fine) Tried power down. Then holding the mute button while puting power on for factory reset. Held for a minute. No luck. Solid white light, no sound, network ports in solid light.. I tried another factory reset method by power down. Then power on holding the mute button AND the "volume up" button to try another factory reset. Again No luck. Solid white light, no so

I have just purchased a new play 1 to add to my others. When ive gone to add it to the system through the app it has lost the function to add another speaker.

My Sonos Playbar and Sub is connected to my TV. My Mac-Mini is also connected to my TV. Can I play media such as stored movies, itunes, and general media through the Sonos. My Sonos has replaced my amp and speakers that were connected to the Mac-Mini to allow this.i.

Stupidly I decided to get rid of the annoying update icon in the Sonos app. The result is a broken home theatre setup. After spending a whole day of reading support and trying every possible scenario to get my setup working again the only noise coming from my sonos is silence. Does sonos do buy backs? I would like to add my frustrations with the other community members here. Sonos have broken my trust after singing nothing but praise about the simplicity of the setup and quality. 31 October 2018 is my deadline for a software update, after that I am going to rubbish sonos in every shape and from known to the internet world.

I have a Sonos Beam connected to a Sony X930E TV and my only source of content is an Apple TV 4k also attached to the TV. Using stereo paired HomePods connected to the ATV by Airplay 2 I can start and stop content, raise volume etc. With Alexa on the Beam I can control volume and turn the tv off and on but don't seem to be able to stop or start the Apple TV from playing. Is this normal?

Hi beam is set up and works great,but when i mirror my phone to tv and watch youtube videos no sound comes out of the beam i have to switch to tv speaker .i am connected through hdmi arc,am i doing something wrong or does it just not support this feature.Thanks Paul.

I've just added a turntable to the system. Through one zone, no problem. Through two, three, or four zones; dropouts to point that it's unlistenable. I tried the "fix" of changing the compression to compressed. That didn't help. The Sonos stream is compressed enough when playing services like Spotify. Part of the reason I got a turntable was to bring back the deep, full sound of vinyl. I will tried switching the input to the AirPlay device instead, because I read that it buffers more. That helped some, but did not solve the drop out issue. Set it to uncompressed and AirPlay. Actually, when it does cut out, it cuts out on every device except the Connect that the turntable is directly plugged into. My setup at the the turntable is; Turntable Preamp Line out, Connect line in, Connect Line out to Amp for that zone. Wireless to the Connect Amp in the closet. I can hardwire a CAT5 to the Sonos network instead of wirelessly connecting if that will help. I need to call and submit a diag

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong here (probably :D), but am struggling splitting a stereo pair. I have a Sonos Play 3, and 3 x Sonos Play 1. A few years ago I set up a stereo pair in the Lounge with 2 x Play 1's, however, having just moved house, the Room Settings in the Windows App and Android App do not seem to allow me to play with this configuration anymore. Would rather have speakers in different rooms rather than a stereo pair now. Any help greatly appreciated.

I open the Sonos app It asks me to add a speaker I press the plus icon to add speaker I see a screen asking me to update the app I press update (despite my app being 9.2 - latest version) It opens the App Store, shows Sonos app I can’t see any option to ‘update’ I press open Same thing happens Asks me to add a speaker, Before I can do that I must update... Urgh. Help. I’ve deleted the Sonus app and reinstalled it from the App Store. Still does the same thing. Is this a know bug in 9.2?

Upgraded to v8 on my iPhone and for the life of me cannot figure out how to switch the playbar back to the tv audio music source after playing music on the playbar? This was extremely easy on older version but not do not even see the option for TV audio? Suggestions? The TV music source is on the upgraded controller on the Mac but cannot locate on the phone app.

Can I have my tv in great room play on my kitchen ceiling speakers. We are doing new construction so wiring options are open. We plan to have several Sonos zones with connect amps but would like to be able to hear tv in kitchen when prepping food and not have tv volume maxed. Thanks
