Hi, I have set up my Beam to link to my PLEX server. If I use the Sonos app I can play music to the Beam OK. If I say "Alexa, Ask plex to play music by Adele" she responds in the affirmative and my media server shows that alexa is direct playing the correct music. So that all looks fine. BUT! no sound comes out of the beam! If I do the same on my echo in anther room it works perfectly. Is this (yet another) deficiency in the implementation of alexa and the beam?

Desperate to get one over here. Please share with me if you received one :-) :-)

I've ordered a Bluetooth turntable which I was going to connect to an Echo connected to the line-in on my Play 5 which is in another room. Is this also possible as an alternative to Bluetooth? If I'm housing the turntable near my TV which has a Beam connected to it, as the turntable also has a built-in pre amp, could I connect to my TV with an RCA cable and would that then pass the sound back out to my beam via the hdmi arc? I suspect the latter option is not possible but if not, are there any options for a wired connection through my TV? Cheers

Can I set my Play1 to alao be my windows PC speaker?

Will Sonos use this new hardware or do you guys make your own? QCS400 SoC series. And if so, which product will you implement it in? You probably won't answer that Cuz that would spoil future announcements I believe? Hopefully I get somewhat of an answer. https://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2019/03/19/qualcomm-launches-new-ai-enabled-highly-integrated-socs-and-dedicated-smart

I recently bought a new PC running Windows 10 and did a new install of itunes. I synced my Sonos system and all seemed fine. Recently I bought a CD and imported it into itunes, created a new playlist and then updated the music library in Sonos. Unfortunately the new itunes playlist is not showing in Imported Playlist on my Sonos. I have read a number of articles on here and it seems to be a reasonably common issue, but none of them seemed to offer a solution. What can I do?

hi I am having problems to get my Sonos speakers to play music using Alexa voice commands if I say Alexa play Elvis Presley Spotify it responds shuffling songs from Elvis Presley on Spotify but I cannot hear any sound coming out of the speakers can somebody help me fix this thanks

I’m having an issue - my Beam and two Sonos Ones are connected, they all play music, but the Beam is only playing TV audio, not the Sonos Ones.... the beam is connected to the TV through ARC. What am I doing wrong?! I thought the Sonos Ones could connect to Beam for a surround sound effect?

My Samsung TV and Beam are connect using ARC. When I use my TV remote to change the volume, I get 2 different size volume dialogs popup and the volume changes by 2 instead of 1. I assume the remote command is going to both the TV and Beam and they both are increasing the volume. What's the best way to fix that?

The Sonos One has Amazon Alexa built in but it can’t be added to a multi-room music speakers group. Please work with Amazon to make a compromise and allow for Sonos to be added to Alexa multi-room speaker groups and vice versa. Thanks!

Currently have the beam and 1 play 5 gen 2 . Toying with idea to sell the play 5 and get the sub. Would love views of the experts on here.

I know it is not ready yet but if I buy a Beam now will this work with Google or will new Beams be shipped. In other words will Google Assistent be a hardware or software upgrade?

Hi Guys, I currently have the old sonos amp zp120 I think it is in my office. I've then got my pc speakers connected to the pc. I originally bought the zp120 many years ago to plug the pc into however there was too much of a delay. I'm wondering with the new sonos amp being able to be used for TV whether it is now suitable for the pc thus getting rid of having two sets of speakers in one room! Any ideas? Thanks

I want to add my Sonos to my Alexa smarthome everywhere skill and say "Alexa Play xyz everywhere" and music is streamed simultaneously to my Echo & Sonos devices.

I recently purchased a Beam to use with my Samsung UE40NU7120K and I am having problems with audio not in sync with visual when using Dolby Digital and Bitstream as set up on TV. This is using HDMI ARC. I know there have been a lot of posts on here concerning this but haven't seen a definitive response from Sonos. I can get it to sync if I switch audio to PCM but is this inferior sound? If I want to extend my Sonos system will I always have to use PCM and not the better quality Dolby? Is there anything else I can try? I'm still within the 100 day return window so might consider changing to a rival soundbar from Bose as I haven't seen issues with them.

Hi all, when i first set my beam up (connected to arc) on my Samsung tv it would automatically come on with the tv. Now for some reason the tv speakers work first for about 10 seconds then the tv says receiver unmute then it switches over to the beam. Any ideas why it has now changed?

When will SONOS introduce outdoor speakers?

Hello, Upgraded our living room from smart TV to projector. The audio out on the projector is 3.5 mm. What is the easiest way to connect to the optical input on the Playbar? Maybe I'm stupid but it seems like all of the solutions I find are converters that go from optical to 3.5 mm versus the other way around. Any help that can be provided is very much appreciated! Thank you!

Hi, I bought the Beam this week and have a problem. Normal setup is fine: it plays TV sound and I can control TV volume with voice commands and I can issue regular Alexa commands e.g. “Alexa, what’s the time?”, but if I say “Alexa, turn the TV off” she says “sorry I couldn’t find a device called TV”, and if I say “Alexa, play songs by Led Zeppelin” (which would play from Spotify on all my other Echo devices) she says “Hmm, to do that first enable the Sonos Beam skill in the Alexa app, then say ‘Alexa discover my devices’” I searched the Alexa skills for “Sonos Beam” but can find nothing. I already have the Sonos skill enabled.

I have a 5.1 setup (playbar, sub, 2 play:1s). Recently, the playbar has a crackling and static like sound coming out of it when I watching cable tv (cox). I have an optical cable running from the playbar directly to the TV. Please help.

For the love of everything that is Holy, is there a simple way to delete a room on the Sono unforgiving app? It is unreal that feature is not readily available.

I'm planning to pair 2 Play:5s for stereo playback. The document "Selecting a location for your Sonos speakers" includes this about vertical vs. horizontal orientation: "While positioning the speaker in vertical orientation may be necessary for certain spaces, it should be noted that there is no stereo playback in this orientation. The speaker will play in mono." Why is stereo playback not possible with a vertical orientation?

Do you have plans to ship a Windows 10 Store app which can be used from multiple Windows devices (PC, Phone, Xbox) to control the Sonos experience? We are a Windows household and the desktop controller that exists for PC today is heavy and not very touch friendly. The third party Windows Phone app, Phonos, is fills a void, but not nearly as feature rich as the Android or iOS app. This has been requested for several years (https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-software-228995/support-windows-8-rt-for-surface-tablet-and-windows-phone-8-for-mobile-devices-4593709) and the product management team does not address this gap beyond a blanket we have no news statement. I understand that choices have to be made. If you do not plan to address this in the net 12 months then can you at least make your API public with your apps being first and best examples of how to use that API so others can fill the gap for you? Instead of a lot of "+1" and "me too" threads please show your support b

I am slowly working on getting my House outfitted with Sonos Speakers. I currently the the Beam and that works fine for my Current Usage. I thinking about what to do for the Rear Surrounds. I now there are essentially 3 of the smaller speakers which I am thinking will be fine for my particular setup. I am just getting thoughts on if there would be any reason for me to get the Sonos:One (Gen1 or Gen2) over the Play:1. Since this will primarily be for surround sound usage and some music, whenever it gets to that point when I can get my family to actually use that aspect of them more commonly.

Need some help. I have a Beam, 2 play ones and 2 Ones that I want to add all to the one room connected to my TV. I have added the Beam to the room "Living Room", but then when I go to add the Play ones and the ones, the "Living Room" is not an option to add these 2 and I have to add them to a new room. Then when I turn on the TV only the Beam plays the sound and I have to go into the Sonos App to group them every time. How can I just add all these speakers to the one room so that when the TV is switched on, they all play sound. Thanks and sorry if there is an answer somewhere else but I just couldn't find it.
