https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4932?language=en_US Why doesn't this not working for me?I switched to the new app (S2) while in the old app I could adjust the volume of the rear speakers. Now it is not responding.. Grts Steven

I currently own the Amp and have the S2 app installed on my Mac which is running 10.15.6.  I mainly use the Amp and the Sonos S2 app to play music that is stored on my Mac.I needed to add album art to my stored music so that it would show up in the S2 app Music Library.  I discovered that the best way for me to do this was to find album art for each of my 400 albums (folders) and place each one called “folder.jpg” separately in each folder.  That works great and the album art shows up in the S2 app Music Library.  However, when I rip a 2 CD box set, only one album for it will show up in my Music Library, and all songs from both CDs are in it.How do I get both albums from a 2 CD box set to show up separately as 2 CDs in the Music Library?  I use an app called XLD https://sourceforge.net/projects/xld/ to rip CDs as FLAC files to my Mac.  It uses the freedb music database to tag the CDs that I rip.One more question.  I have many AD/DC albums stored on my Mac.  When I go to the S2 app Musi

Hi,I have several wired access points and one WiFi SSID throughout the house. The only difference between the access points is the WiFi channel which is different to avoid overlaps. The network is a gigabit and I have no problems with any other device connected to it.I have two Sonos-One in the living room connecting to the WiFi on access point 1 and an Amp in the Bar area connecting to the WiFi on access point 2.When I open the Sonos App from anywhere in the house, it connects without problems. After connecting, if I move with my iPhone to a different area of the house, its WiFi connects to a different access point (1 or 2 or 3 all wired), in those situations I battle for a while to connect to the Sonos devices. Basically I cannot see any of them for few minutes, then out of the blue the phone finally connects to the Sonos even from that area of the house.Router:GT-AX11000Access points: Tp-Link Re450 Access point mode Is there any solution for this problem?Thank you for supporting.

Hello,I just recently added a Sonos Beam to my two Play:1 setup, and put them into Surround mode. I have a small apartment in a very urban area. I’m experiencing cut out on my two surrounds. Router location makes it difficult to wire the Beam in; but my right Play:1 is connected to the router by Ethernet. Wireless is on for all devices.  I’ve reset all of my products and set them up from scratch again, but the issue persists.  Any ideas, besides buying a long cat6 cable?Diagnostic # 2107913978

In my SONOS favorites I have a bunch of streaming radio stations from 7 or 8 years ago. I can’t find a way to directly add streaming URLs anymore. Do I have to use Tunein radio or is there some other way to do this?

Updates have been frustrating since I bought my initial Sonos products 3 years ago.  It’s time to update again and I cannot get it to work over several tries. Set up:Android running newest version of the app (S2)Bedroom - 1 One (wifi)Living Room - 1 sub, 1 Playbar, 2 Ones as surround l+r (wifi)Backyard - 1 Amp (wired) Only the Living Room products show as requiring an update.  Update fails every time with code 30.  I tried doing one device only (sub), but saw the surround ones blinking white/orange during the process. I found some help here stating to change the wifi channel for the Sonos products and then the upgrade should work.  Guess what - can’t change the channel until the update has been completed - Catch 22. What else can I try?Support Diagnostics confirmation: 1646504668

Hi, I have a complicated Sonos setup involving a Playbar, a Beam, two Play 1s, a Play 3 and a Symfonisk lamp, all in different rooms of the house. The Playbar and Beam are at opposite ends of the house wired by ethernet cable into an ethernet switch that go to the same router at the front of the house (we only have one router, though do have a WiFi booster at the back of the house kicking out a different SSID). I’ll paste the system details below. But basically I want to be able to delete the Wifi settings from the Sonos controller so that it forces all the Sonos devices to use Sonosnet - I’m having problems with the Play 1 which is in the bedroom (the WM=1 device below). More than 50% of the times I try to do anything with it I get an error message - either ‘cannot connect’ or the ‘cannot add to queue’ messages. There’s no reason why it shouldn’t be using Sonosnet (the wired Beam is in the room directly below) so I think there must be a conflict somewhere. The Play 3 in the kitchen is

Considering buying a Sonos Arc to go with new TV. Only Sonos we have is a Sonos One speaker in lounge which we use with Spotify & Amazon Music. We use a Amazon Echo dot 3rd gen to control it, works better than Sonos mic. The Sonos one will be put in another room. Can we still use the echo dot to control the Arc. Yes I know the arc has a mic, but the echo dot by were we sit works great. I may add a Sonos sub later on next year, before it gets mentioned we are not interested in surround sound at all. I'm buying this online as no Sonos dealers near us. Any help or advice appreciated.

Hi,I’ve just bought a new Sonos Beam and it’s having trouble playing music from my Spotify account. I’m getting error messages including “The connection to Spotify was lost” from the Sonos app, while the Spotify app struggles to connect to my Sonos speaker when I try to change the playback device to the speaker. Sometimes it works and then quickly disconnects, other times it struggles to connect in the first place.  I’m using the Beam over WiFi because an Ethernet connection isn’t practical. I have it connected to a Netgear Orbi mesh WiFi router which itself is hardwired to a DrayTek Vigor130 modem.  Alternative music services like TuneIn seem to work flawlessly.  Any idea what the problem is here?

Hello,I have two Play:1 that don’t want to play anymore since this morning. Until then they worked fine. One is in the kitchen, the other one in a bedroom.I made a Diagnostic #567346148.Thanks,Francis

I have an 65" LG OLED CX that I want to pair with a Sonos arc and sub, and I was contemplating getting the in ceiling set for the left and right rears. The question is if I do get the amp and the in ceiling speakers do I have to plug the HDMI eARC into the arc or the amp or do I need to plug both in? Cheers

Having an ongoing issue that is not allowing me to use any services on app. The app indicates that speakers need to be Linked to Account - See Error messages attached. Need help addressing. Do not want to do factory reset unless advised. After clicking to see 4 issues I am prompted to “Link Products” including (2) play1 sound bar & sub. After attempt, receive another error message indicating “Set Up Problems”.Connection & time settings are fine. Audio playback is perfect. I have no access to app functions. This sometimes includes options such as TruPlay. This issue occurred after moving into new home.

I have a play 5 gen 1 that bought a while back. The problem is that it wont turn on, which means that i cant reset it to factory settings. Is it still possible for me to use the trade up on this device even if its still connected to the sellers account?

Helloonce the play 3 are soothed in stereo to use as suround, can I still listen to them individually if I wish?  or do we have to unpair them each time? Thanks

Right now I don’t have a receiver or turnable, but want to establish a sonos system that could double as a sound bar for the TV and support a line in music source from a turntable.  If I purchased the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable (with the pre-amp), connected to a Sonos Port, and a Beam -- would that accomplish what I want.  Or would I need to purchase say a Sonos Five for the turntable, and then the Beam for the TV?  Thanks.

The microphone feature is not working on my new move.  Any idea how to fix?

I have had my move for over six months and today for the first time attempted to use it while out of its cradle. I was shocked to find it at zero percent. Hours later, and with the app showing it is charging but still at 0%, I also noted the flashing red lights. I have sent in diagnostics and read all the other topics related to this. It is a weekend evening so I won’t be able to call until daytime tomorrow. What to do?  Diagnostic confirmation number is 1770445785

How can I tell if my connects are gen. 1 or 2 (I have 4)?

Since updating my iPad to the latest v11.2.3 of the S1 app, the app no longer finds my Sonos system - Sonos bridge and gen 1 play 5s My iPhone running v11.2.2 of the app works fine, so the Sonos system is working fine. Initially the app did not find the system soI uninstalled and reinstalled the app. With the latest app freshly installed on the iPad .. it does not find the existing system … nor, when signing in can I “create a new system” when trying to “pair” it with either the bridge or a speaker directly. The app does not let me progress beyond either of those steps.  I have rebooted the bridge also. Any ideas as to how I can get this iPad S1 app working again would be appreciated.

This morning Sonos stopped playing Amazon HD.  Amazon HD is working on my computer and on my phone so it’s seems not to be an Amazon problem. Is there a way to fix this?

I have re-authorized Amazon Prime music on the Sonos app on my iPhone X multiple times this morning, and when attempting to play any station or playlist the following message pops-up on my iPhone screen for about 2 seconds and then disappears:“Requested operation failed. Please try again.” I cannot get anything to play from Amazon Prime Music through the Sonos app this morning. I have used this for 2+ years with Amazon Prime Music without any problems.  I can access Amazon Prime Music directly through the Amazon Prime Music app on my phone, but through Sonos nothing will play.

Hi. My Sonos radio account needed to reauthorize but it doesnt let me do the process. All it say is “Error” There was a problem authorizing your account. Internet and connection is working fine. I logged out to try and login again but problem persists.  thanks

I just updated to the “new” Sonos app and updated my speakers.  However I noticed that whenever I do a search now it doesn’t show the music files on my device.  Is that expected?  The old app used to search both my Music Library and my device’s music files.  Did Sonos really take away the ability to play files off your device?  If so that seems like something that should have been clearly identified before asking Users to upgrade.

just bought a SONOS Move. Initially concerned that when I took it outside it wouldn’t see my Wi-fi. I hadn’t appreciated it doesn’t support sonosnet. Luckily this isn’t an issue so long a# I set it up on the 2.4Ghz network.  The real issue I hadn’t thought of is my controllers (iPad and iPhone) struggle to control the sonos system as the Wi-fi signal is poor.  I’ve read loads of questions and answers around using Wi-fi extenders with sonos, mostly concluding buy a sonos bridge (I’ve 2) or a sonos boost. None though about getting the controller working. Obviously sonosnet is invisible to the controllers. So, is there a Wi-fi extender that will work, should it be set up as an AP (probably not as this creates a subnet) or configure as pass through?

Wondering if 2 5’s work horizontally for a stereo setup with sub?
