I can’t really understand how thinking has gone when possibilities for controlling both TV and Sonos product is going in the wrong direction when a new product, Arc, is launched. Since I only have access to ip-TV and need to use HDMI for connection from box to TV I cannot use HDMI ARC. The old Playbar was still possible to control via Samsung remote and digital output but there is no response whatsoever with Arc. Disappointing development when I went out of my way to exchange my newly bought Playbars for new Arc?

Cannot work out how to set up up a stereo pair of 2 x new Sonos Five's as front speakers in a 5.1 setup, using playbar, sub and 2 x play 1 as rears. Can't find anyway to set the 2 x Fives's as front L&R and use playbar for speech, which is how a 5.1 system should be set-up? I can only add 2 x Fives's as fronts on their own, setting them up separately, when I pair them to the surround it sounds terrible. Says on Sonos Website that Fives's are suitable for use as surround speakers? Help! Looks like they will be going back to Sonos!

My other SONOS speakers are white, and I want to add a Move to my bathroom. I do NOT want a black speaker. Please make the Move in white. This would have been a day 1 buy for me if it was available.

I’m not intending to upgrade my Sonos kit anytime soon, as presently it does exactly what I want (and what I paid for). Clearly that means that my particular train has headed down the S1 track, rather than S2 (the only ‘new’ kit I have is a Boost, used to replace a Bridge). Question - has Sonos announced a minimum support period for S1 and associated kit? I’m thinking of something along the lines of “S1 software will be updated to run with new iterations of Windows, iOS and Android for at least 5 years” or similar. Have only asked re OS, obviously other stuff - TuneIn and other services is I guess a trickier question. I do have Play5 with line-in to PC, and a Connect (connected to a gramophone), so even if they pulled all the services from S1 eventually, I would at least be able to pipe music around my Sonos speakers via those two inputs. (Couldn’t find anything on this site by searching “S1 support period” - which I would imagine is the one question on many S1 user minds).    

Hi guys! I have a question that I couldn’t figure out searching the web or reading the manual. Would appreciate any help.   In short I’m wondering if I can use the Sonos Amp as just a power amp. The use case would be to hookup the Sonos Amp to my turntable and put a tube preamp in between the two. Have a wonderful PrimaLuna preamp that I’d like to continue using.   To my knowledge it has mostly been possible to bypass the preamp in integrated amplifiers. Might even be quite common practice to use a integrated amp as just a power amp. Can this be done with the Sonos Amp?

Can Move be used in a sauna?

Is there such a thing as a “Modern” Sonos Connect?  Correct me if I’m wrong (wouldn’t be the first time or the last) but weren’t there new Connects still being sold just last year?  With the 5 year support rule, it would seem that there was an upgrade somewhere in the timeline to make the Connects modern.  If this is true, what would I look for on the label to designate a modern Connect?

Good afternoon, I recently purchased a Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable with built in phono stage, I’m trying to play it through my Sonos system through a ZP90 connect. Sonos has recognised the ZP90, but the vinyl won’t play through the system!!! any help would be greatly appreciated.

Much needed help.  I currently have the following components (listed below) and cannot seem to figure out  if there is ANY way possible to make an HDMI Arc connection such that I receive true Dolby Atmos sound from my Sonos ARC soundbar via any component that I would choose to use (i.e. Apple TV (4k), UHD Blu Ray, Playstation 4-see below).  If I cannot achieve Atmos utilizing my current setup then would you please advise which (if any) additional component(s) I would need to add in order to achieve Atmos in a projector environment.  Here is my current list of components (I am currently connecting all to the Sonos ARC via Optical audio out on my HDMI Matrix Switch): Sonos Arc (connected to the HDMI Matrix switch via optical audio adapter), A Sonos Sub, and two Play:1’s for surround Orei 4K HDMI Matrix 4X2 Switch (UltraHD with ARC Supports yo to 4K @ 60Hz and 1080P Arc EDID) BenQ HT2050A Projector (connected to the OUT of the HDMI Matrix Switch-it, of course, does not have HDMI Arc)

How does one reset the new Port. I have seen no info on this? Thanks

Hi there, I was wondering what’s the proper way to tune the room when you have two sets of speakers in the same room. I’ve got Play 1’s in corners of my Kitchen. I’ve combined these to two stereo pairs and done Trueplay tuning for both. This is not bad, but is there a way to connect 4 speakers and true play them so that all of them would work in… ahem… concert together? Hi, my living room is about 25m x 15m, and currently i have two Sonos One speakers in it. The sound is great, perfect really.. But there are slight chnages to the audio levels as i walk around the room. I really want to feel like I'm just blanketed by sound while laying on my sofa. I was considering buying another pair of Sonos Ones and hanging all four speakers from the corners of the room, basically making two L/R stereo pairs... But I'm wondering if this is overkill. I'm not interested in making my music super loud, just want it to be fuller.    Thanks    Thanks     

I have a new Sonos arc, sub, play 1 surrounds, yet I have no idea what sort of sound is coming out of my Sonos system.   it would be really helpful in the Sonos app to have the sound type indicated. I’m not sure why this isn’t the standard - really frustrating and poor in my view. I very other surround system on the market will let you know if Dolby is coming out of the speakers.        

Hi everyone, I just installed my Sonance outdoor speakers powered by the Sonos amp which will be able to provide the sound for my outdoor TV.  I have a fire pit that is a little bit away from where the TV is but in plain view of the TV. I wanted to know if I bought a Sonos move would I be able to pair it with my amp to here the sound of the TV so I don’t have to blast the outdoor speakers to loud that my neighbors will complain? 

I just upgraded to S2 and made a couple room groups, but typo’d and mis-selected some speakers. Is there any way to edit and/or delete a room group in the S2 app (Android or Windows)?

Is the wallmount for the Playbar and the Arc the same?

Will there be a new Windows app for S2? Will the current Windows app still work if I upgrade to S2?

I have multiple devices from multiple manufacturers that support the Amazon Alexa Drop In feature, will the Sonos One be getting this feature soon?

Does anyone know the bitrate that the new sonos radio curated playlists, ie the new Thom Yorke one, are streaming at? Why can't sonos just add a bitrate to the player and save having to email support all the time! Its such an omission for streaming player. With modern internet there is no excuse for less than 320 streaming in my view.

As the ZP90 is being bricked very soon, does anyone know if the Port is bit-perfect?

I took delivery of my shiny new Sonos Arc yesterday. I’ve installed it and plugged the HDMI into the correct HDMI port (port 2) on my LG C9. I’m getting fantastic Atmos from the Netflix app etc however…..as soon as I plug my Sky Q box into HMDI port 1, my tv defaults to the internal speaker and won’t allow me to change the setting back to the HDMI ARC output until I disconnect the Sky Q box. Any ideas? Thanks

I’ve set up a s2 system with a Boost on my LAN and this works. I wish to set up a separate S1 system for a Gen 1 Play 5 with a Bridge on the same LAN however this is proving difficult. Is it possible to have two separate S1 and S2 systems on the same LAN both using sonosnet, one via a Boost and one via a Bridge?

I recently purchased the Sub Gen 2 about 6 months ago. I plan to one day purchase the new upcoming Sonos Arc soundbar. With the new Sub Gen 3 releasing, does this mean I will not be able to use the Sub Gen 2 with the new Arc soundbar to create my home theater surround sound?
