I have used four Play:1 in my home for three years using both iOS devices and the Windows app to control them.  No trouble with anything, even the first releases of the S2 app, until a few weeks ago …  The iOS app began to not always see my Play:1’s when initialized … usually closing and restarting the app solved the problem.  This was tested using both up-to-date iPhone iOS’s (14.3), iPad iOS’s AND outdated iOS 12.4 on an old iPad Mini 2. Next, the Spotify app started to not be able to see the Play:1’s (controlling them independently of the Sonos app).  NOTE: in all this time, my other multicast or network music devices (including Bluesound, Apple TV and Google Play) have had no connectivity issues whatsoever. This weekend, I decided to factory reset all four Play:1’s (green blinking light), ‘forget’ them on my network router, and delete/reinstall the Sonos S2 app on all devices, in an attempt to get things working properly again. RESULT:  I can’t get past either the ‘temporary Sonos

Hi folks,Let me start by saying ”I’m definitely a novice” and therefore not tech savvy in any fashion! So please be gentle.I have just purchased a beam for my bedroom and am impressed with the sound so I and am considering replacing my Boise bar in my living room and possibly adding some additional speakers. Suggestions are appreciated.I have a small 2 bedroom custom built house. My living rm is 14x14 and my bedroom is 14x16. They  are separated by roughly 13ft of 4’to 5’ wide hall that opens directly into one another. I have a 55” Samsung TV in the bed and a 65” in the Liv rm.   Now my thoughts are as follows. purchase a new beam for the Liv.rm. and a sub to place in the hall. I may add other speakers if needed. Again I’m open for suggestions. My primary question is can both of the beams share the sub?. I believe with the layout ,distance and openness of the hall to each listening area it should function fine. I hope to link everything together for music listening throughout and just s

Arc keeps repeating « Mic is muted » then « the mic is back on »   I believe it’s the google assistant. I can’t figure out a pattern. It’s very annoying. Sometimes it’s 5 secs appart. Sometimes minutes.

Hi, my diag id is: 546783324When I mute in app or with the remote the Sounds goes back in after like 10 seconds. What is going on ?

I added a Play 5 Gen 2 to my old Sonos system. When I group everything (soundbar, sub, 2 play 3s, 2 older play 5s & move) and stream music like Pandora it is perfect. When I play anything off my TV it skips. When I remove the Play 5 Gen 2 it stops skipping. I added an extra Boost next to the Play 5 Gen 2 and it did not help.Clearly something about any TV sound output and this Play 5 Gen 2 any ideas?

Hello,my current set-up is as follows: room1  - air beam & sub woofer, room 2 - play 3, room 3 - play 5.In room 1 air beam is connected to TV. I can easily play all my digital music anywhere in the house from the app. But I have a CD player in room 1 and would like to play CD’s. Question: Do I need Sonos Connect or Sonos Amp. Furthermore, if I were to play vinyl I assume I would need the Amp. Thanks

Is it possible to use both Google Assistant and Alexa with the following setup:- Sonos Arc (Alexa) + Sonos Sub + Sonos One (Google) + Sonos One SL (all paired)

Hi, my playbase has stopped working on wireless, both on wifi and on Sonos Net.  When I plug it in with an ethernet cable it shows up immediately in the app.  My other 3 Sonos speakers work fine.  I’ve worked through all the trouble shooting including factory reset and the problem hasn’t been resolved.I’ve sent a diagnostic report - the number is 849305995.  Any ideas or advice please?

When I try and add my NAS drive music subfolder (called My Music) the app says ‘No share My Music on server.  If I put ‘Music’ (though not a real subfolder) it connects but clearly nothing there.  Any help? All my other devices connect flawlessly.  Thanks!

Hi. Have Amazon music connected to my Sonos. When I ask Sonos to play something the Sonos speaker confirms this “playing your play list” for instance but nothing happens and no music is played !! I switched over to my Spotify account and exactly the same thing happens (playing music from Spotify) but again I get no music. I can select music from my phone app and play it through all the speakers via Amazon music or Spotify I just can’t get it to play music via voice commands. Any ideas as it is driving me crazy !!!

Well since we upgraded to the last sonos version we can’t play music from the device. That option is missing now. With my sonos play1 we can’t use airplay2 either so wht can we do now?

Hi all, my first Sonos prod: a brilliant Arc black. Connected via HDMI eARC to my LG OLED 65C9 and everything seems to work pretty nicely. Mainly watching movies and series from Netflix/Prime and Atmos is regularly passed by the TV Apps when available. Also listening music from the Sonos app or other sources via Airplay works nicely even if I expected a better performance.Planning now to improve the system adding the sub or the One SL surrounds. Which one would you prioritise considering my type of use? If you had to choose between only one of the two would you go for the Sub or the Surrounds?Second question. In my “previous life” I had a 5.1 system with a Denon amplifier and 5.1 separate speakers. When the source was a basic two channels (say a Movie on standard antenna DTV) you could activate on the Ampli a Dolby Prologic Movie option to have a simulated Central and Surrounds. Is the Arc doing any type of processing when the source is a basic two channels stereo? Many thanks in advanc

My Move isn’t changing from network to Bluetooth mode when I press the mode change button??

I have my Sonos connected to a media library on my Synology NAS.  If I pause my playlist, when I restart it, if my Synology has gone into hibernation (which by default it does after 20 minutes) then the Sonos will try to restart where it left off only to not be able to connect (I assume because the NAS is in hibernation and is waking up).So while the NAS comes back to life, Sonos moves merrily along trying each song and returning the ‘can’t connect’ error.  The result is that Sonos skips sometimes hundreds of songs before the NAS is out of hibernation.I know I can turn off hibernation on the NAS as an option.Question:  Is there a way to set Sonos to query the NAS and if it isn’t able to connect immediately that it will wait 10 seconds and then try again before moving onto the next song, especially on restart?  Failing that, does anyone have an easy way to ‘wake the NAS’ before restarting playback to avoid this?Thank you.

Have a Sonos Beam and Sub that I used in a second home. Consolidating homes...can I use the Beam (and maybe the sub) as a wired speaker in my current surround setup? Is it as simple as Ethernet to xlr adapter? All my other speakers are powered and I am looking to use the Beam as either a front center channel or rear surround. System is a 5.1.2 Atmos controlled by Monolith HTP-1.Appreciate any advice and direction...thx!

Hi,I’ve been using 2 Sonos One and 1 play:5 on my Apple TV with no issues for a year. After last Sunday’s Sonos update suddenly they stopped showing up on Apple TV → Settings → Video and Audio → Default Audio Output. I’ve tried restarting all devices, making sure AirPlay is on on my Apple TV. None worked.I tried AirPlay from my iPhone to those Sonos speakers and it worked. Just not showing up on Apple TV. Any help would be appreciated  Thanks!

We have a Sonos play bar and have been happy with it.  For Christmas we purchased 2 Sonos 5 speakers to go with it.  The one we paired to the playbar goes in and out constantly.  We have rebooted everything, reinstalled the app and worked with support.  Anyone have more ideas before we send these back?

I recently had a Sonos one, I replaced that with the Sonos move. music and TV audio constantly skips and breaks coming from the move. I made no connection changes just replaced the one with the move. The Sonos move is 12 ft from my Sonos soundbar and 20 ft from my router all on the same floor in one room. All softwares are up to date. It's horrible.

Hi,I have an old Pioneer PL12D turntable with no pre amp. It currently connects to my hi fi system through the phono in of a Rotel amp which also has tape in and out sockets. Can I use the existing amp to connect to a Sonos port rather than buy a separate pre-amp?

Hi.I don't have any sonos speakers so far, but I'm designing an installation in my new home and would like to use a sonos system. I wonder how to prepare the installation for sonos arc, sonos sub, and two ceiling speakers so that it is connected to the TV.What will I need to keep everything running afterwards?Internet socket to conect sonos amp, wires from audio speakers to amp. How do I pair the amp with the arc bar? What do I have to think about now so that I don't have problems later?Thank you.

Hello, I have one of the original sonos systems (the one they initally said they were going to abandon, but still works great!).It is wired into my hifi system (a Naim amp) and I listen through a decent pair of B&W speakers. I use spotify and am happy, but was thinking of upgrading to QoBuz because it streams at a higher bit rate (FLAC). Will my sonos system process this or will I have to upgrade my sonos products to take advantage of the better sound quality of Qobuz? Thank you

Posso unire in una coppia stereo uno di tipo “speaker one SL” con uno di tipo “speaker one” quindi due tipi diversi di speaker, uno con controllo vocale e uno no?

We have recently changed from Google Play Music to YouTube music and have noticed a bug in the Sonos integration where it does not allow us to see more than 99 playlists on our Sonos controller whereas the YouTube music account is connected to has 240 playlists.   I believe this to be a bug in the YouTube music integration on the Sonos controller or maybe a limitation, can someone please look into this and confirm.

Can a Beam be paired with any generation Sub?
