Hello, I believe this is a common issue although one which I cannot resolve. My setup Sony KD-75XG80xx purchased in 2020 and Sonos Beam worked faultlessly for 9months. All of a sudden the beam will no longer work with the T.V. However it does play music.  After looking on this forum I have done everything that the community has suggested to no avail.  firstly I removed the T.V from the wall to check the connections. All ok.  I then swapped the original HDMI cable supplied from Sonos to another one. No change.  I then removed all other HDMI equipment from the T.V. I checked the audio settings on the T.V and all the same as before, Bravia Sync on Audio and  to audio out.  I then removed all HDMI ports from the T.V including the ARC connected to Sonos and turned everything off over night (about 8 hours) including T.V and Sonos Beam.  I then turned the T.V on and re connected the ARC and repeated the process of trying to connect the Sonos to the T.V didn’t work.  Out of ideas and getting v

Hi,Sorry if I sound very frustrated - I am!My iPhone works fine with the S2 App, but my MacBookPro (my preferred method to control my system) is an absolute PITA!I am running Big Sur 11.1I am also running Norton Security Premium.Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I have played around so many times with Firewall application blocking rules, I’ve lost the plot!Does somebody know how to set this up so that it works and keeps working once I restart the machine? It’s not just that it doesn't work, it hangs, so then you have to ‘force quit’, often a number of times. Then restart the machine, then play with the Firewall rules again etc etcEverything I find seems to be old and refers to Norton 360 and even if it just refers to Norton, it is not specifically to referring Sonos S2.Thank you in advance for any help you can offer …H

every time I change an lp on turntable I need to reselect what speakers are being used, change volume level and balance and stereo pair. How can I preset these?  Or stop losing them when I flip the record on the turntable?

Hi, I have a huge collection of live music sitting on a standard hard drive (none of which is available to stream) and understand that I need a NAS drive to be able to play any of this through Sonos. unfortunately, that’s where my knowledge stops… could I please have some recommendations as to what to buy, makes and model numbers etc that are known to work. I’ve done a little research, but I’m more confused than when I started looking. I have a very basic knowledge of computing, but can usually get things working if I have the right equipment and software. Sorry if the question has been answered many times before, but there is lots on information online which is too complicated for me to grasp...

Had the Sonos setup and working with Alexa fine last week. Moved it to a different building with different wifi. Setup new wifi, Alexa voice commands would acknowledge me, she would give time, weather, but when I ask to play music, it says “playing music from Apple music” but no music, same with iHeart Radio. If I go into the Sonos S2 app on my phone and play music from Apple music, it will play fine, Alexa voice command will turn volume up and down, but will not pause. I did a reset on the speaker and app both, but same issue. Help please!

I own brand new playbar, not even a month old, and I had a static noise. I told the store I bought it from and they replaced it, but the new one made the same noise right away. It's connected to a Toshiba Fire TV through the digital output. I have only noticed the noise when watching Netflix. and I do not have any other devices nearby causing interference (no cell phone signal, bluetooth signals or antennas) I'm not sure but it sounds like interference as it will come and go.

Room System: Playbar, One X2, Sub G2, Sub G3Wifi: Eero, single said, system connected wirelesslyI’ve added a second sub to my room system this weekend - It sounds fantastic, but I’m having some issues with the S2 app in my iPhone 12. When I configure the system for 5.1 with a single sub channel, it displays as normal in the S2 app. When I add the second sub, my S2 app on my iPhone 12 will only show the Playbar in the room, all other devices (One x2, Sub G2, Sub G3) disappear. The Sound controls for home theater also disappear. The system seems to work normally. I’ve reset the app with no success.  Now, when I view the same system configuration in my IPad Pro S2 app, I can see all the devices and home theater controls.  anybody else experience this, is it a known issue?Edit: iPhone 12 diagnostic report is 1011209043. iPad Pro to follow soon

Hi There I’ve just purchased 2 Ones and tried to add them as surround speakers to my Beam and they won’t connect. Looking at the system I noticed the warning message below. Any ideas as what the issue is and how to resolve it. thanks in advance

I have a beam and 2 Sonos one’s, all used with my tv.I want to add a Technics SL1200 turntable, they don’t have a pre amp built in.can anyone suggest the best way to add this turntable to my Sonos set up?ive just bought a Sonos 5 thinking I could connect the turntable straight to it, then found out after that I need a turntable with a pre amp.I don’t want to start buying too much else as it works out expensive. I can take the Sonos 5 back and get a refund, as it’s still boxed.many thanks.

I have a surround system in my media room with a beam, sub, and two sonos 1’s as rear speakers.I also have one in my bedroom, and 1 in the kitchen. These are used very rarely, so I want to add them to the media room. So, I went into my app, and renamed the bedroom to media room, and kitchen to media room- now there are two media rooms in the app. How can I add the two sonos one’s as front left, and front right in the media room? Why does this have to be so difficult. arrgh!

Is there an option to advance the audio? The audio is slightly too slow on Samsung built in Netflix app. The option in TV and Sonos are only to increase the delay… Many thanks

I have a pair of floorstanders that I’d like use in new house but cannot run speaker cable to inconspicuously! There are power outlets already at each location of the floorstandrrs, can I use individual amps , 1 wired to the left flloostander and the other wired to the right floor stander to created a stereo pair- by grouping amps ??? Or by some other manic!

We all know that the integration of smart assistants in Sonos is botched, but hopefully someone can explain my most recent problem.  everytime I ask Alexa on my Sonos Ones or my Sonos move to play something she replies correctly with “playing xxx from Spotify” and then nothing. If I ask again it works. I’ve tried resetting the voice assistant and tried different music providers with no change. It’s really strange, whatever happens to the first command I wonder?  Anyone else experiencing this?

I have a pair of Play 1's, Sonos 3 and I've just bought a Sonos Beam to create a surround system with the two Play 1's. I want to add two outdoor speakers (not purchased yet) for two different patios. These speakers I want to use for ambience so I won't need anything high powered. I've seen a ZP90 second hand and wondered if it is worth buying. I don't currently have any other sound system apart from the Sonos I've listed. I thought to buy a mini amplifier from Aliexpress for the two outdoor speakers. My question; is the ZP90 worth buying? Should I instead look at a newer Connect? I see both the ZP90 and Connect aren't supported with the S2 app. Would this mean I would need to use S1 app for the outdoor speakers and S2 for the rest of my system?I don't really want to splash out for the newest Sonos Amp as I don't have a current system and only want it for the outdoor speakers. What are my options? Thanks in advance

Translate with Google from French :-) :Hello,Here is my problem, I currently have a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo 2M turntable, connected to a Pro-Ject Phono Box MM DC phono preamplifier, itself connected to a SONOS Five via an Audioquest Evergreen mini-jack RCA 1.5 m cable . (Actually, I changed my previous turntable by this one, thinking that the turntable was involved ...)The problem that I encounter is that the sound saturates on strong voices like Adele or Loreena McKennitt. As soon as the voice increases a little in power, the sound sizzles. I don't have this problem with the digital version of the albums, via Spotify for example. My line input is set to level 2 on AV.So do you have an idea? Why is the quality deteriorating on the input line of the SONOS FIVE?Thank you in advance for your help.Raphael

I want to avoid buying a Sonos Sub. I currently have 2 play one gen 1 and a playbar. If I add 2 sonos fives will it be the same as adding a sub?

Hi,My new Sonos arc, unlike my expieriences to date with previous Sonos products is a nightmare, from setting up onwards. As soon as I channel surf on my satellite TV box, the sound turns off and I have to get my phone, open the Sonos app and turn it back on again. Now it refuses to play music regardless of what I do or try, just says unable to play.Seriously considering sending it back and reverting to my old Sonos connect, as that actually works.Have I got a dud? or is this common? And if so, why would Sonos release such a thing?CheersAdrian

Currently watching WW1984 on my 2021 Samsung Q7 led with sonos arc. I was trying to figure out if the audio output is displaying Dolby atmos but when I pull up what I’m watching on the Sonos app it does not show up and it has been doing this for quite some time.

I have a Sony turntable connected to a five speaker.  When playing the turntable through this speaker there seems to be a lot of echo and sound distortion.  I have attached a picture of my setup.  I do have another five in my system and when I stream through that one only sound is great.  I have switched them with one another to see if the speaker was the issue but it's not.  I have also placed the speaker connected to turntable on the floor, further away from turntable and sound is better. I'm wondering if the speaker just needs to be further away or should it work as pictured?

I recently left my house for a week. Since I came back, I have found that my app does not connect to the speaker after a little bit of inactivity. Unplugging and plugging the speaker gets everything back up and running, but is rather annoying. I submitted a diagnostic. 1208688160 was the reference number. Thanks for any help!

I have the ARC and 2 One(s), all in my Media Room.  I have Alexa on the ARC.  How do I add Google to my One?  When I try to do so, I just see “Alexa Enabled” and I don’t have any other options.  Is it possible to do what I want?

Have beam + 2 play ones as surround . on my new Philips TV every time I switch off by remote so still in standby the next day its reverted to TV speakers . TV saying external source is applied ... I have to unplug TV and start again !

My playbase was working fine but suddenly I could not see it in my app. I tried resetting and now the playbase is flashing green light but I cannot discover and add it in. Can anyone help?

Hello, This is my first post here. I recently bought a new TV, 65” Sony A8H OLED. It’s my understanding that it supports Dolby ATMOS; however, the Beam does not.Does that mean that I have to upgrade to the Sonos Arc? What to do with the Beam? (I don’t have another TV) So far the TV sound has been great, compared with my previous less sophisticated TV. I apologize for my lack of knowledge!Cheers,
