Connect outside projector to Sonos system

I recently bought an outdoor projector and would like to play the sound on my sonos system.  The projector does not have wifi or airplay. How can I connect the sound from the projector to my system? Would any of these work?

  1. Connect Apple TV to projector. Stream movies via airplay. 
     
  2. Purchase speaker that can connect to projector out line and wirelessly to whole sonos system. 
     
  3. Some how add airplay to my projector?

not sure if any of these are feasible any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you connect your iPhone to your projector with a Lightning Digital AV adapter, I would assume you could Airplay the audio to the Amp connected to your outdoor speakers. You might experience a slight audio delay though. Same thing with connecting an Apple TV… it should work but probably not the most reliable option. 

I’m sure others with more knowledge can offer some other ideas.

What is your current Sonos setup? I noticed you own a Sonos Amp. Does this power outdoor speakers that you currently have?

Yes I have an amp that powers 4 outside speakers, a move, and 2 more amps that power speakers inside the house. If I hookup my iPhone to projector can I airplay the sound on sonos? Projector is Optoma HD39HDR.
