Hi All,  I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and setup was a breeze using Sonos 2.  Once setup, I added back my sub and two Play 1s for surround sound.  All worked well.  Then I thought since I had two Play 3s why not swap them for the Play 1s for better quality surround sound.  That worked .  All went well until I tried to add back the two Play 1 speakers to the Sonos 2 App.  When I try that for either speaker, I get to the point where it appears that the handshake worked where they should be back online but I get a message “Your Play 1 has been added, but may not appear in the System tab.  If so unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish the setup from the system tab”.  I tired this numerous times and still the Play 1 are offline; not showing up in the system.  I called Sonos and did everything they suggested i.e. Rebooted Modem, rebooted router, hardwired into ethernet cable and still, it does not work.  I even tried to get Sonos 1 to connect to these speakers with no success.

HiJust bought a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB to go with my Sonos in the house.I plugged it into my Play5 and it sounds pretty good but I get a low boom distortion at higher volume. The volume on the line in is at max and I’ve checked the connections. Is this showing the limits of the pre amp on the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB? If so can I improve the sound using another stand alone pre- amp?Many thanks in advanceNNW64

Hi All, Can someone please direct me to instructions on how to add my iTunes playlists into my Sonos music library?  I have already imported the music library (on an external drive).  I tried to also import the iTunes folder within the Windows Music folder, but the playlists don’t import.  The playlist section within the Sonos app is blank.  I’m assuming there’s a way to import iTunes playlists.  Please help. Thanks!

Here’s my setup: Sonos Arc - connected through supplied HDMI cable to ARC port on my TV - Vizio P55-F1 (2018)   Issue: VIzio remote control will only turn down the volume, not up.  Power Cycle seems to resolve for a short period of time.  Also it seems I can only turn the volume up if the Arc sees the IR signal from the remote, If I make sure only the TV can pick up the IR signal it notices that I have pushed a button and displays the volume level on the screen but will not increase or decrease the volume.  TV volume controls work fine if the Arc is unplugged.  Also noticed the volume controls on the back of the TV won’t turn the Arc volume up or down either.   Hoping someone can point me in the direction of a fix, or at least wanting to see if others are having a similar issue.

Hi, What is the lenght of sonos one power cable provided in the box? Thanks,

hi guys can i add a new port to replace a faulty connect in an existing S1 system?

I have Alexa working on my Sonos System (Arc, Sub Gen 3, 2x Sonos One).  But there is an issue.  Alexa can’t hear you unless you shout at it or are inches away from the Arc if music is playing or if there is any background noise.  Literally you need to say Alexa five times, eventually shouting it to get it to listen.  It’s driving my family crazy, as our old system with an Echo Dot worked great. Is there a fix for this, or can I move the default Alexa from the Arc to a Sonos One?  The Sonos One is more in the center of the room, and may hear better.

Hi Sonos support. Sonos arc + sub. Playing Netflix on Philips 55pus7272/12 Sometimes the sound is crackling and distorting. It changes to some very, very harsh, metallic, robotic sounds. Have to stop the streaming immediately because it's so loud and very, very bad sounding.

Arc has been "lost" twice now since I purchased it. It disconnects and can not be found on sonos app. Will not allow factory reset either. First time it fixed itself after 3 days. Happened again 2 days ago and it's still a ghost.

Hi I have a Turntable and a CD player which I want to connect to a Sonos port, I also have a pre amp for TT, can’t find way to get to work help please

Hello,New to Sonos so this is likely a silly question coming.I’m looking to connect both the Arc and Amp to my TV as well to have it for music on my main floor. The Amp will be in another room powering a pair of in-ceiling speakers for surround as well as a pair in kitchen for music. Do I just connect both Arc and Amp with HDMI from the TV?I have the ceiling down now so want to make sure this is all I need before I go ahead with wiring.Much appreciated,

Just tried hooking something up to the line-in port on one of my Fives on a Flexson vertical stand, only to find that the line-in port is essentially blocked by the Flexson arms that hold the Five in vertical position. In order to fit the plug in, I’ve gotta angle the speaker down in the stand, and it’s much less secure that way (and angled poorly). Anyone else have this problem?  Any good solutions?

Afternoon All, I have jsut got the xbox serices X and they ahve remoed the optial out port which i used to connect my xbox x to the playbar with. So now my only option is to go back to the optical out from the TV’s conenction box. The problem with that is the audio is then delayayed when i set the xbox to bitstream and DD. This seem to be a well know problem with no obviouse solution. I have a couple of questions would a spliter like https://www.amazon.co.uk/Extractor-Splitter-Optical-Toslink-Converter/dp/B08CK59T9X/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=hdmi+optical+splitter+60hz+xbox&qid=1605015709&sr=8-3 solve my problem and give me the option of puting the optical out from there rather than the TV? Or is i sold the playbar and got the beam and used hdmi arc would that work or would I still get the same audit lag.  (note there is no way to adjust the tv, xbox or sonos to fix audio lag only video lag :-( ) Any help you can provide would be appreciated

Hi guys, I have 2 Sonos play 5s and I would like to use these as the sound output of my Mac mini (2020). I connected one of these to my Mac mini using an RCA cable, but I cannot get the sound out of them. Is there any missing step that I did not perform or, these 2 are not meant to be connected using the cable? TIA.

Hi, I'm moving into a property which has 5 sonos in ceiling speakers in a room.   Left, center, right and two rear.  No amp is currently connected.   I Intend to use tv arc port on sonos amp as part of a 5.0/5.1 configuration.  How many sonos amps are  needed to create 5.1 configuration and how should each speaker be wired?  Ie how is the Center phantom speaker wired?

I have had a Sonos system for years, I’ve got rooms with stereo pairs and a surround sound set up…..everything is Sonos I absolutely love it…..well I did until I got a Move at Christmas, it’s constantly going missing or offline, constantly dropping out and it’s so frustrating and causing issues with the set up.  I have a wired set up and can’t understand or get to the bottom of why.  Any advice would be appreciated    Paul

Can I combine my existing Play 1 Gen 1 with a One SL to set up surround speakers with a Sonos Beam? Or do they need to be a pair on One SL’s to function with surround sound?

The Sonos Beam seems to be overriding the ability to use a 4 channel HDMI splitter in my TV inputs. I am trying to use a splitter to connect Apple TV (new generation), PS4, and a Nintendo Switch. The other HDMI port on my TV is used for cable TV and the other port is used for the Beam. The TV is not ‘seeing’ the available port that the 4 channel splitter is plugged into.

Hi I have just purchased a Sonos Beam and i’m connecting it to an older Philips 32PFL7605H/05 TV.It only has one HDMI ARC port and my Virgin V6 Box is connected to this and doesn’t seem to work in the other  HDMI ports So ive tried using the other option using the supplied digital out lead but this won’t fit into the port in the back of my TV see image attached.Im now unsure what to do?Ive tried just connecting the beam via the normal HDMI but the app says “no signal”.I think i need a different type of HDMI-Optical adapter but i’m unsure what to buy and if the Beam will work with this?Next step would be to buy a new TV which i don’t really want to do as the picture on the Philips is excellent! HELP!!! Thanks in advance

Hi all,I am new to sonos, loving it so far. I have the arc matched with the new LG CX. I mounted the arc to the wall using the sonos bracket. I hung the arc upside down because the bottom actually makes a great great platform/shelf for the Apple TV and the Nintendo switch.  my question is, will this impact the sound quality in any meaningful way? Am I missing out on the true atmos sound doing this?  Also, in terms of panning and left/right channels, does the arc auto correct being upside down or is everything reversed? Help is appreciated. Thanks!

I set up my new Beam yesterday.  My set up is SkyQ 2tb box, a Samsung UE43RU7100 4K TV and 2 x Play 1 speakers for Surround Sound. The Beam is connected to the HDMI ARC port on the TVMy Issue is this.  If I watch Netfix or Amazon Prime directly from the inbuilt Apps on the TV the sound is  syncing.  The surround sound is great.  No issues really at allHowever, watching anything from the Sky Box is impossible.  The sound/ sync is miles out.  I’ve tried adjusting the audio delay on the Sky Q box.  Its makes no differnece, whatever the delay I try.  I have also tried adjusting the delay on the TV setting.  Again no improvement.  Nor if I adjust the TV Dialog under Home Thatre in the Sonos App.  Nothing enables me to get anywhere near close to being able to get the syncing right.  It makes watching “TV” via the Sky box impossible. Now this is the case when I have the audio setting in my SKYQ box set as follows:  Digital Output HDMI is set to Dolby DigitalIf I put this setting back to “norma

Hello, I would like to buy 2 Sonos One SL to connect them either to my TV or to my Xbox One (for movies / video games), is this possible? Because everyone only talks about Beam or Playbar on internet, but I heard the sound of the One SL and I fell in love haha and naturally I can’t buy 2 Sonos One SL + a Beam or a Playbar... I hope you can reply to me, Thank you all very much and good day !

What happens if you use a passive speaker with the Port or old Connect device?  Is there no sound, or just weak sound?

Recently got a Sonos Arc Surround system and a Roku Ultra to support Atmos. I noticed two options on the Roku Ultra for audio - Autodetect or Auto Pass-through. I noticed with autodetect it is showing in the Sonos app that it is receiving Atmos signal for every show on netflix and prime, even when I’m almost positive the show should not have Atmos. When I switch to auto passthrough it seems to only show Atmos signal in the Sonos app for the shows that have Atmos.I was trying to determine if there is actually a difference in the sound quality for the shows/movies that don’t have Atmos, yet are displaying Atmos signal in the app when I have the settings on roku to autodetect. I feel like the quality may be better but it may be in my mind. Is there anything that the sonos arc could be doing to upgrade the signal or actually produce a higher quality of sound when I have the roku ultra settings set to “autodetect” instead of “auto passthrough”?Thanks for the help!Josh

Now that my son has moved out, I am converting his bedroom to a music room (current using my family room).  I am using a sonus connect s15 to stream music from my MAC to my preamp.  I want to still be able to listen to music in my family room using Headphones through a dedicated headphone amp.  So my question is once I locate my audio equipment down stairs to my new music room, is there any way to use the Sonus to stream music to my headphone amp in the family room?  Or do I have to by another Sonus connect? Thanks in advance...
