Hi Sonos support. Sonos arc + sub. Playing Netflix on Philips 55pus7272/12

Sometimes the sound is crackling and distorting. It changes to some very, very harsh, metallic, robotic sounds. Have to stop the streaming immediately because it's so loud and very, very bad sounding.

Next time it happens, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes, and call Sonos Support to discuss it, or post the diagnostic number here for a Community Moderator to pick up.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, there are more options available beyond just the diagnostic analysis.

What HDMI port is your Arc plugged into? Is Audio Out Format set to Multichannel on your TV?

The HDMI arc Port. And yes, multichannel is on.

Luckily the harsh metal-crackle sound only happens biweekly or so... It's like I hear the "real" electronic signals out og the speakers, very hard to explain

According to the user manual for your TV, all four of your HDMI ports support HDMI ARC. You should test each HDMI port to see if that makes a difference.
