Hi I have Win 10 and have installed the S2 app. I have configured my Firewall as per the guide, my music folder is shared. When I try to add the music folder to the library I get this error: I have searched the forum but unable to find the answer. I have even turned off the firewall completely but still get the error, can anyone advise please? Thanks in advance, Rik.

For the past few days Spotify has not appeared in the results when I do a music search in the Sonos iOS apps on my iPad and iPhone. I can use Spotify in both apps, but on a music search I only get results from My Music Library and Amazon Music, with the exception that if I click on the Playlist tab in the search Spotify is included. If I click on Artist, Album, Song there is nothing from Spotify. When I do a search on the Sonos app on my desktop computer (Windows 10) Spotify does show up in all of the searches. I have updated all of the apps and deleted and reinstalled the Spotify apps on Sonos on the iPhone and iPad, but the problems remains. Anybody have a solution?

Hi all,I suspect that one of my Play:1 devices is (and always has been) defective but I am struggling to find a way to confirm or debug this. The device is always visible on the IP:1400/support/review network matrix table and all devices are green. But in the S2 app the device regularly goes missing for minutes or days.It was initially part of a stereo pair with another Play:1 in the living room and caused regular problems during playback. It just dropped off and then some time later came back on again, or not at all. I have reset the device many times and removed and added it to the Sonos system many times. No effect. So recently I swapped it with another Play:1 in the kitchen. Now the drop out problem is in the kitchen. When grouping the Kitchen and Living together in S2, playing from the Spotify app is nearly impossible (also in the old configuration btw). The group Living+Kitchen seems to get messed up if one device drops.I think this is a defective Play:1. But I have run out of opt

I have a home surround sound system (non-sonos) in my theater room.  I want to tie it into my Sonos eco-system.  I believe the Port and Amp will achieve this.  In the future I want to get an amp for my front and center speakers.  Can I kill 2 birds with one stone with the amp?  If so, is the amp a good choice for my front speakers?

Until recently, when I was playing one of my Sonos playlists on my Sonos One stereo pair with GA, I could ask “Hey Google, what’s playing”, and it would tell me the song title and artist. Yesterday I noticed that it now responds “Nothing is playing”, even though it is of course playing my Sonos playlist.I have an Echo Dot in the same room that has the Sonos pair set as its default music output. If I ask “Alexa, what’s playing?”, it automatically knows that I mean the Sonos speakers, and it tells me the song title and artist as usual. So, looks like another new bug between Google and Sonos...

HiI originally purchased a playbar and sonos 1 and they have been great and I can pair them no issue. I then recently added a sonos gen 3 sub and I am getting a error in the sonos 2 app in the system info saying...."Your wireless network will not support the use of a sub or surrounds with your playbar". All devices have a solid white light on them and in the app is says the playbar and in brackets sub for the room setup.I have a BT Internet. Anyone know how you fix this please, before I look to send the sub back.

Hello,I have a Sonos one speaker, but unsure if it’s gen 1 or gen 2.Can someone let me know how I can establish which generation my speaker is?many thanks, antony

Will Sonos be doing an update in order to be able to ‘stereo pair’ a play 5 gen2 with a Sonos Five?

I have a Sonos system with various Connect, Connect Amp, Play:5, and Sub components. It has worked fine for several years including various updates of all components along the way. Suddenly the Play:5 said it needed an update, but that update has failed dozens of times. I have tried hardwiring, factory resetting, uninstalling Sonos app (Android Sonos 2), unplugging all other components and trying to add the Play:5 as its own new system, etc. Nothing has worked to let me update that Play:5 or add it into my existing or a new system. Any ideas?

Hi. I have a playbase and 2x Sonos Ones (surrounds) connected to my TV and I am very happy. I am keen on exploring vinyl and I am looking at a Lenco L-85 which is quite cheap at £115 which also contains a pre amp. What I am wondering is can I use my Sonos Ones as a stereo pair using a Sonos connect without disconnecting from my tv setup.

Hi,I recently bought a Western Digital (WD) My Cloud Home in hopes of using it in conjunction with Sonos to stream a collection of live recordings that I have saved on a hard drive. The only option is to play these files from a hard drive as they are not recordings that exist on streaming services.I got the My Cloud Home set up and connected to my Sonos system and I can play files using the “My Cloud Home” music service that can be added to the Sonos controller. The problem I’m having, though, is that the Sonos My Cloud Home service only recognizes a some of the files in my collection, and many of the others don’t show up and are thus inaccessible.Does anyone know if there is another way to stream music files from a WD My Cloud Home device without going through the Sonos My Cloud Home music service? Thanks,Jon

Hi,Ive started getting issues today where my Sonos Playbase is dropping out of sound for about 30 seconds before starting again.  I have restarted Wi-fi and have the Playbase wired to my router but still getting these dropouts. The Playbase has a white light flashing while the sound drops out.  I’ve also noticed when I change channel on Sky the sound drops and when I pause and start again the sound drops and white light starts flashing.  I’ve also noticed if I unplug the Playbase from the router my app can’t find it, it only displays in app when hard wired. No idea what’s going on, I’ve submitted a diagnostic report 40417093, please could someone take a look? Many thanks

I just upgraded my home NAS and cannot add the newly created music library share to either the Sonos phone app or Computer program. I have followed all of what I have found thus far related to editing my computers registry and firewall. None of which has worked thus far. Anyone have ideas? Just upgraded to a Synology D220+ NAS, running Win 10 …. Sonos configuration is Playbar and One’s ….

I have a Sonos One attached to a Boost (which is plugged into a Netgear Orbi receiver). This has worked fine until today. Today, music started to play but then it stopped. The app said music was playing but there was no sound.I did factory resets but when I went to search for new devices, it found none. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t help. I guess these devices are still associated with my account. Any suggestions?

I’m new to Sonos so maybe I’m missing something. In the Sonos S2 app for iOS is there a way to click on a single song and reveal the entire album this song is on? This would be very handy when listening to playlists if I want to jump to the album of the artist I’m listening to.  Seems cumbersome to leave the Sonos app, go to Apple Music, find the song/album, add to my library, then re-enter Sonos app in order to listen to it. There must be a better way! Thanks.

I have a Sonos S2 system running latest updates over a wired and wireless Unifi network. Speakers keep dropping from system. This morning I got 8 back up by wiring 2 to my LAN. The Sonos Move was difficult. I had to put it on a remote (wired) access point in the garden, far enough away from the other Sonos devices. I did a factory reset and re-added it to my network. All seemed find again. I put on a playlist and carried it back in the house. Now my Sonos Move is playing the playlist without any disruption, but the device is lost from the app.Sonos move is 30cm away from nearest access point and signal is great.I’m baffled and lost. Help.

Hi Everyone,Looking for some help on setup for my office. Let me start by saying I’ve seen all the zero latency line-in threads and that’s not what I’m asking for here.I would like to setup some studio monitors in my office so that I can do real-time audio monitoring from my computer, but I would also like to be able to, at times, add them to one of my Sonos groups. So here is my question:Are there any devices that can take two audio inputs (computer audio & Sonos amp/port input) and switch between the two, preferably automatically. Bonus points if I can also switch the output from the studio monitors to headphones on the fly. Thanks in advance!

I’ve not seen this issue before. We have a setup of 4 x AMP’s with one hardwired to Router, other 3 all in the same Flexson mount connected via sonosnet inside a house.Outside the house in a garage detached we have a One SL - this is connected via a TP Link access point hardwired to the same router in the house which one of the AMP’s are connected to.Via the App in the Garage we can control the house AMP’s fine.BUT - i cannot get the One SL to add to the App - The App finds it, we connect using the join button - it says connecting for a while the indicator goes white and the App pops up a message that says install complete, but might not show up in System - unplug and re power. Doing this the One never appears.Take the One back in the house reset it and it joins network fine (i assume via Sonosnet) - take it back outside and it disappears from the app.The TP Link AP is definitely set to AP mode, DHCP is off on the AP, so unit will be getting address from House router - the tablet with t

I have had and loved my Sonos One pair for more than 2 years now, but They’ve developed a problem over the last day. When I AirPlay to the pair, the right speaker quits playing music. When I disconnect AirPlay and play music through the Sonos app, the behavior persists. This appears to be semi-permanent, as the only way to fix it is to unpair the speakers and repair them. I use AirPlay on a regular basis, and it would be a shame to lose this functionality. Any help would be appreciated.(Side note: the left speaker is a Gen 2 Sonos One, and is the only speaker that plays. The right speaker is an original Gen 1 Sonos One)

Hi, I have 3 play 1’s and a connect connected to my tv in the lounge, all 4 devices are connected via CAT5 cables which run to my 48port Netgear Gigabit switch, I have over 100mbps internet and still I’m getting drop outs, I have listened to the audio on each speaker and it seems fine but I can’t work out which one is at fault, can anyone help? I’m not very tech minded. many thanks

I got a Samsung q70t 85 inches. When I plug my Sonos Arc via eARC the sound turn on and off. But, when I use the optical adapter it work perfectly but i can't use dolby atmos.

Hello,I have 2 Sonos Five connected in stereo pair in horizontal position.I have a doubt, If I only turn on one of them, that Sonos Five detects it and works as “fulll stereo” like it isn’t in stereo pair configured?Or continue to work as left or right channel as is configured in the app? Thanks!

My sub and surrounds show up as ? with my arc. I have submitted diagnostic 2022444264. I have removed them, factory reset, added them back, rebooted router and boost. Nothing worked. Up until today everything was fine. Please help.

I’m new to the turntable market. Want to purchase a turntable and Five. 1) What is your opinion on the quality difference between the 2 sold thru Sonos... Pro-ject T1 and Debut Carbon Esprit? I realize turntable components can be upgraded. I place a high emphasis on sound quality. Is the DC Esprit that much better or would a couple minor upgrades on the T1 make it comparable? Lots of opinions out there on the Sumiko Rainier vs Ortofon 2M Red  2) Do both come with a built-in preamp?3) Is the non-Sonos Esprit the same thing minus the logo? Can’t image the Sonos logo alone adds $50. Thought I read somewhere the non Sonos version doesn’t have a preamp.

Hi community,i already have 2 Sonos Five connected to my TV and I love them a lot.I would love to know if we can use a preamplifier for Home Theater and using jack input from each of the 5 Sonos Five to connect them to the preamplifier to get a perfect sound quality.if yes, how we can connect the Sonos sub or subs? Thanks for your help
