Dear Support, I am facing an issue with Sonos. We have installed new WD My cloud HDD. The issue is that when we share the music from NAS with Sonos its showing an error which is “ Sonos was unable to share the Music folder. I have also follow the all steps which are enclosed in the link.

Hello all -Long time Sonos fan here, LOVE the product. Have been running mutiple devices and speakers with S1 for several years with few issues. I recently bought a 2nd gen Play:5 and 5 speakers and decided it was time to move to S2 knowing I’d need to re-setup S1 to retain control of my older devices.The upgrade went “text book” with no issues. All 4 compatible devices were found and I was excited to finally move forward to S2. However once upgraded I find that the Play:5 and 5 wont or only intermittently will stream audio service (Sonos Radio). Both speaker devices are seen in the app. Communication seems ok as the local controls on them respond in the app. The Connect: Amp seems to work reliably. I normally group these and tried ungrouping but mostly wont output any audio.The 2nd gen Play:5 was rock solid on the S1 app so I have to think the issue has to be within the S2 app. Because the devices are present in the app I don’t think the problem is connectivity-related. Hi there so I have a Sonos beam, connect amp gen 2 and two ceiling speakers. The issue I have is that the wiring for the speakers, connect amp and the WiFi router are down stairs in the utility room. The beam is up upstairs with the television.  How can I get the ceiling / amp speakers to work with the beam? Do I only need to connect the connect amp to the router? I have seen mixed comments about amp and beam needing to be connected to each other via Ethernet.is it possible to use a Ethernet Powerline adapter to make the beam think it’s connected?I do have cat 5 cabling running through the walls from the utility cupboard to where the beam is but this is already occupied as only one port in the living room.   failed to see any answers for the above so much appreciated any insights  

I have 4 speakers:Google Home Mini Sonos Beam SYMFONISK SYMFONISK 1 is set to default to Sonos as its default speaker in the google home app settings.3, 4, and 5 are grouped together in the Sonos app. Whatever I do, I am not able to make google play the music on the Sonos.I set up the Sonos as the default speaker but whenever I ask:“hey google play xxx music” it plays it on the google home mini not on the Sonos.  “hey google play xxx music in living room” it still plays in on the google home mini not on the Sonos. even if I ask this while I’m right next to the Beam, it will still play on the google home mini. “hey google move the music to living room speaker” it will say that this is not supported. “hey google play the news” it will stiil play on the google home mini.Why are these 5 actions impossible?

Hi guys. I have a Sonos one paired as stereo, and use them primarily as computer speakers connected via AirPlay. They function perfectly when used as smart speakers, but the airplay feature seems very shaky.When I come into the office in the morning it takes multiple attempts to get the Mac to find the speakers over AirPlay, usually resulting in the speakers not found pop up I have seen a lot on these pages. Its almost like after a period of inactivity they go into some kind of sleep mode that they cannot be forced awake from. After a few attempts, the speakers will pop up in the sound section of the menu bar and then they work fine...until they seemingly go to sleep again when the mac is inactive i.e lunchtime. Then the same process has to be repeated until I can get them working.All the while, the Sonos Controller can connect to Radio stations in the app absolutely fine, so the speakers are connected to the router with no issues. After a software upgrade with Sony tv, soundbar no longer recognizes either Xfinity or Sony remotes.  The only way to get the volume adjusted is the stand directly in front of the soundbar with remote, then the beam works.  Have had installers here and they were clueless and said only 1 year warranty on soundbar, so no luck there.  (and BTW - that one year warranty is disappointing)

I upgraded to S2 and now my volume increases dramatically when I switch from TV to streaming or a DVD. I’ve called Sonos tech support and got no resolution and they said I could not return to the S1 version which worked fine.

Encountering issues with certain podcasts that cut off suddenly and I cannot restart as I get "not coded correctly" error. Happened while using Stitcher... Got thru episode using Iheartradio, then, still using Iheartradio, following episode cut off. Can restart but not advance episode, same error, 2 different apps. Help?

Hi there.I am British and live in Spain.  Today I got an email in Spanish (a language I don’t speak particularly well) about Sonos Radio stations.  But because I’m in Spain and Sonos Stations are only offered in a handful of countries, I can’t access them. Meanwhile in the Sonos Radio section of the app, I see an ad banner for Sonos Radio HD which I can’t sign up for it’s not available outside the UK or US.  I’ve no particular objection to Sonos advertising new services to me, but it’s frustrating when they’re adverts in the wrong language (My profile is set to “Preferred Language: English”) and/or for services you won’t let me sign up for! Rod. 

Multicasting is on. Network is open for all traffic. Mac adress added and static IP set. Sub connects fine to wifi however the setup through iPhone fail during the last step. Unable to hardwire Sub. Please help.  

I recently bought a house and trying to get it figured out. The previous homeowners had a Sonos Amp connecting 3 sets of speakers in the house and worked with no issue. I bought the same amp but I can only get one pair to work regardless of wiring combo. Coming out of the ceiling, I have a set of 3 red wires, a set of 3 black wires, a set of 3 green, and finally a set of 3 white wires. When I go in the attic, all three sets of speakers are using black and red wiring so I am lost on how to troubleshoot the cabling and what it should look like. 

I recently purchased a One SL and a Port. I use CloudBeats as my main music app to play music hosted in the cloud via Airplay. For about a month it worked fine with no issues playing to either or both speakers, but starting about a week ago the CloudBeats app started crashing whenever I connect to the Port. It works fine with the One SL, but crashes every 2-5 minutes when I play to the Port. I’ve been in contact with the CloudBeats dev and he’s been trying to help, but doesn’t have a Port to test with. He said I should check the Ports firmware, which is up to date as far as I can tell. Has anyone else experienced this issue? 

I own 2play:1 and a sound bar. I would like to get a sub woofer. What is compatible and where can I get it?

I'm struggling to get to the bottom of the problem I'm currently experiencing with my Sonos. I'm constantly getting the message 'Unable to Connect to Sonos Product' and playback stops completely. I'll usually be able to restart playback again after a short time.I've got the system set up with a pair of Play 1, on an ethernet cable that is connected to the router via a TP Link adapter. I also have a Sonos One SL that is using the Sonos network created by the Play 1. No WiFi settings are saved anywhere.I get the error message on both my android mobile and windows app. I mostly use Amazon music, but if I get the error, it won't play anything from any source.Every now and then it will also stop playing a song part way through, and jump to the next on the playlist. There are no other devices being used in the house that should interfere: mobile and laptop are on the WiFi, and other devices that use the same ethernet adapter are off when Sonos is on.I'm not massively technically minded, so p

Hello.I have a Beam with 2 Play1s as surround sound speakers with a Roku and LG tv. Speakers are all on wi-fi.Streaming music sources will play through all three speakers but I get no sound from the surround speakers when trying to play 5:1 audio. I used to get this problem occasionally but rebooting the router would take care of the problem. I was using Sonos 1 so then I updated to Sonos 2 to see if that would help but now no amount of re-booting will help.Sonos system info screen shows the beam is getting Dolby Digital 5.1 when I have the problem.Another new problem happened after going to S2. While streaming music through the app selecting anything on the roku would stop the app stream and then play the HDMI input. Not so any more.It seems that the Beam ignores the HDMI input until I stop the music through the app. Not good.

does anyone know how (if possoble) you can get the ps5 to output dolby atmos to the arc via the LG GX when playing a 4k bluray?

I am in the process of putting together a home theater/media room. Its a relatively small room, ~17' x 13', and I am putting together all the components.After spending time over a few visits at local stores and being blown away by the sound I pulled the trigger on a Sonos system. I was attracted to the other features of the system besides just movie/TV sound.I purchased a Playbar, Sub, and 2 Play 1 speakers. After doing some more research I started to have some concerns that I may have bit off more than necessary given my wants and needs.My main goal is great surround sound from movies and TV, the other streaming features are nice to have, but I am concerned I may have significantly over-payed for what will be primarily a surround sound system for my TV. Are the other features worth it?I would love to hear any feedback or advice from more experienced Sonos users.Also, I was told I did not need a bridge, however, i seem to be getting conflicting information on that. Hi, my speaker fell forward (long story) and landed on a pointy thing and poked a whole through the speaker cover. The important parts a fine and the sound is still okay, although I am pretty sure it has impacted sound quality. I was wondering if there was any way to replace the cover.

I have both old and new devices.  went through the many factory resets over the weekend and created all old devices again as new on S1, while S2 running only me new devices. worked fine when I sat it up and using my Sonos account on both S1 and S2.  but only after a few days now the S1 app doesn’t give access to the old devices. It pops up with the message to “Use Sonos S2 app” and no function to say”No I stay on S1 with my old non-S2 compatible devices” ! what is going wrong here ? Diagnostics submitted just now. 319537631 for S1 / 1535573725 for S2 pls advise.  Peter HKG

Hi all, I'm using the Sonos amp with 2.1 third party speakers. I run FireTV into the TV's HDMI. Most of the apps on FireTV run Dolby Digital Plus. I selected audio pass through on the TV's settings. TV is connected to HDMI arc to Sonos amp. Most of my videos apps use Dolby Plus so I assume and hope that somewhere along this transfer the Dolby Plus will convert to Dolby Digital (Sonos compatibility)? How can I verify this? I assume I wouldn't get audio if it wasn't compatible but would be nice to check this because I find the phantom centre doesn't work all that great and maybe it's because I'm not getting the right audio format. 

This is a recent problem for me. I can play music from my Spotify app on my Sonos speaker but not podcasts. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both apps. The message I get is ‘can’t connect to device right now’ when I try listen to a podcast but music is ok. Any advice hugely appreciated. I’m connecting from my iPhone.Thanks LJ

Hi all. New to Sonos systems and am running into some problems. I can see a bunch of posts here about TP Link WiFi extenders, but nothing that describes the exact problem I’m having. I’m also not that familiar with the technology behind all of this, so am struggling to keep up on some of the threads!I have two Sonos One SL speakers, one in my living room and another in my office. Because the WiFi signal does not reach the office, I have used a TP Link AV1300 powerline adaptor to get signal back there.Most of the time the two speakers will play together without issue, but every now and again one speaker will stop working. I have experienced the issue with both speakers, but it seems the speaker I lose is usually the one I add to whichever is already playing music (i.e. If I begin playing from the living room speaker and then add the office speaker, the office is the one causing problems; and visa versa.)It seems the system suddenly stops recognising that there are two speakers connected
