With the Sonos S2 app on an iphone my Arc was detected and connected to my home network, but will not connect to my new LGOLED77GX TV. I have set the TV sound to output to HDMI Arc, and in additional settings I set the TV to audio pass through and to HDMI eArc. The Gen 3 sub is connected to the Arc, also via the wireless home network. The connection between the TV and the Arc is an HDMI 2.1 cable, plugged into the LG's eArc terminal (HDMI 2), and the other end is plugged into the Sonos Arc. I have tried simply powering off the Arc, and also a factory reset of the Arc, but each time I try to connect the Arc to the TV the Sonos 2 app says it cannot connect to the TV when I tell it the Arc is physically connected to the TV as described above. Help please 🤔.

Can Sonos add Scribd audiobooks to their services? Would love to listen to via Sonos instead of AirPlay, which does play on all 5 speakers, but drains my phone's battery. I listen to Audible all the time on Sonos & am grateful for that link-up. Now, Scribd would be amazing. Thanks!

Seems that there is no way to use the alarm on files on my hard drive, or a way to upload my files to Amazon or Apple Music.Let me know what I am missing.

Greetings all,I have been trying to figure out why my Subs will not connect to the playbars in my rooms.  I have two subs and two playbar that used to all work.  I moved and had to set it up with a new router.  Playbars, plays 5, play ones all work wireless.  When I try to set up the subs.. I can detect it set it up, but adding it to a room with a playbars it fails.  It gives an error about unable to find sub.  If I factory reset and add it to a room without any devices, I can add the sub, but it comes up as unassigned.   When I assign it to a room, it fails again.  If I do it directly, plug it into Ethernet, it works fine.  It updated, and when I unplug it, the sub disappears.  I then retried again after the update, and no luck.  Same error when adding it to a room. Help?  Any ideas?

Hi All! I am a bit confused and can’t find a clear answer. Can I use a Sono Port to connect my Marantz receiver and use Sonos speaks as satellites in a 5.1 set up. So, if I’m watching a movie, the Marantz handles my bowers and wilkins left, right, and center speakers but it’s synced with the Sonos speakers via the sonos port? will that work? 

I have problems adding 2 Play:3 as Surround speakers for my Playbar.I have tried resetting the Play:3’s. Rebooting the playbar and turning off all my network equipment.Diagnostic: 1902068528does anyone have any input on what I should do?The Playbar is my main device, and it is connected by Ethernet. Hi, I have 2 seperate 5.1 systems in my home currently.  I have arc, sub, amp and 2 non sonos in-wall speakers in living room and I have playbar, sub, and 2 sonos one’s in my bedroom.  What I need help with from the community is:  Can I have the exact setup listed above but change out the 2 sonos ones in my bedroom for 2 more inwall non sonos speakers and continue running 2 seperate 5.1 setups.  I know the amp can run up to 4 speakers but I am not sure if you can continue running 2 seperate 5.1 setups off of one single amp.  Hope this all made since.  Thanks for the knowledge if you know the answer.

Hi all, recently moved into a house with the NUVO Concerto system and looking to update the source systems (currently runs off a computer CPU with music folders...). I just want to know if I can plug in a Sonos Port into the basic RCA source inputs or if this particular amp will be to out of date. Ideally I can control music and volume from the Sonos app rather than the NUVO control panels on the wall in each room for the in-ceiling speakers. Hoping I don’t need to update the multi-zone amp.

HiI recently bought a Sonos Amp. I connected my turntable via line in and my tv via HDMI. For both I have automatic switching activated.It works fine, except when I just watched TV. The Sonos Amp doesn’t seem to detect when I turn off my TV. When I try to to listen to my turntable short after, it doesn’t automatically switch: I have to switch it manually via the app, where I get the warning the TV audio will stop. Is this normal? I read somewhere TV audio always gets the priority, but it should detect when the TV is shut down and the audio stopped, no?I have a LG CX tv, if that’s useful to know.Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello, May, last month, you informed us that there would be no more update for the old equipment on sonos1.I could live with that because everything was functional at home.And now you are pushing a final update that prevents most of the adjustments on my system.I can’t even change the sonosnet channel. I have computers, android phone on version 7, tablet on version 7, android boxes on version 7.You said the truth, there will be no more update, only a downgrade.What’s the reason behind all this?

I have 3 Play 5 - Gen 2’s. I am considering buying and or upgrading to Sonos 5’s. The upgrade program is offering $75.00 for each speaker that I own. I payed $500.00 for each of my speakers. Why do these Sonos speakers depreciated so much? I would never sell my $500.00 (still in immaculate condition speakers) for $75.00. RegardsUpdate: I totally misunderstood the upgrade policy. Does the Sonos system honour the ‘Album Artist’ tag? I suspect not, but why not? Or is there  way round it…..Everything works - I can see my library, I can play music, I can play radio stations etc etc. Just cannot fathom how to get the darned set up to honour the ‘Album Artist’ tag. All other tools/systems I have do honour the tag (J River, Logitec media server, plex etc).Any info/advice gratefully recieved.

My new Sonos beam works well with the TV as sound bar and is also connected to my Alexa app. The Beam will respond to Alexa commands but will not play music independently. Alexa app has Amazon and Pandora music apps enabled. I understand that it is not configured to play on the Alexa "everywhere" group but it should still play music by itself. Any suggestions?

After four month of working completely fine and no changes to my router or network, my Beam will no longer syncs with my 2 Ones and Gen 3 Sub.  Help!  I’ve reset everything to factory and it still won’t sync. I was able to get the Beam to connect to the Ones in surround mode by connecting the Beam to an Ethernet cable.  But once I unplugged the Ethernet cable it no longer works.  Help!!!!

Is is possible (if so, how) to use my gen 1 Play 5 on Sonos 2 thru Sonos Connect (not amp), just as one would use a regular speaker?

Hi Just bought a Sonos One last week to replace the old Bose SoundLink Air.I can airplay the music to Sonos One from Mac & iPhone, however, Apple TV (3rd generation, A1469, 2014) can only airplay to the old Bose, rather than to Sonos One.The Apple TV  recognize the Sonos One,  I can pick as airplay device. But when I play the Netflix (or whatever media), it will pause then sounds and switch back to Apple TV. Can someone help to diagnose the root cause and advise the solutions?

Hey Guys,I am trying to figure out if I want to keep my sonos play 5 (gen 2) or keep my Klipsch III. I am lookin for the best audio quality I can get. And currently I am using usb audio with my klipsch verses wifi with sonos. I keep reading that because of the s2 app sonos can now handle 24 bit. I have deezer, quboz, and tidal. But I also keep reading that it has to be through a local music library. I don't know what that is. Can I stream 24 bit through the deezer/quboz/ tidal control centers in the s2 app or do I have to set up a local music library?

Just had forced upgrade to Sonos 2 Controller. New AMP with Architectural Sonance In-Wall speakers and Numark turntable with built-in pre-amp (TT USB model) I can get Spotify to produce sound through Amp and speakers. When using turntable, I get silence. Yes, the turntable is set to Line-In.  I am using RCA cables to connect from turntable to Amp. Turntable has successfully worked when connected to other devices. 

HiOn all of my Sonos speakers, Moves &one’s.When asking Alexa To play an audible book, she begins to play, but if I ask her to be rewind one minute or any other amount of time she says “Nothing is currently playing “I have tried the same commands on a Amazon echo and it works fine.I have tried the same commands on a Amazon echo and it works fine.this used to work fine a couple of weeks ago I was only recently in the last 3 to 4 weeks stopped This used to work fine and then It suddenly stopped working a few weeks ago.In the Sonos app I have unauthorised and re-authorised my audible account and this has made no change, I have also rebooted all of my speakers and this has made no change.if I ask Alexa to play music from either Amazon or Apple it works fine and will also fast forward or rewind the time asked. Please help!  

I have an 11 month old, Samsung 82” QLED Q70R. I recently purchased the new Sonos Arc and I can not get Dolby Atmos to work.  TV Setup - I have the Arc connected to the TV via the HDMI 4 (ARC) using the HDMI cable Sonos provided with the speaker. (It’s not and eARC port, but according to Samsungs website it supports Dolby Digital+ and Atmos. In the TV’s “expert” sound settings, I have the Dolby Atomos Compatibility box checked, and when I connected the Sonos Arc it said “Atmos enabled device detected.” Yet when I go to the Digital Output Audio For… setting, it only allows me to select Dolby Digital.  I am currently using an Xbox 1s and Apple TV 4K for streaming, Netflix, HBOMAX, HULU, Disney+, etc. When I go to the XBOX settings, I have HDMI Audio set to Bitsream Out. However, when I go to the Bitstream format setting, whenever I select Dolby Atmos for home theater or DTS:X for home theater, I get a message that says: “Your receiver doesn’t support Dolby Atmos for home theater” Sonos p

I have a speaker system that includes the Arc, Sub (Gen 3) and two Sonos One SLs.When I am watching television, it randomly turns itself down.I am not touching the remote or the app, and there is nothing/nobody else in my house that would be turning it down. Frustrating.Anyone have any ideas on how to make this stop?
