I recently bought the SONOS Arc + Sub + One to use it with my LG CX tv and I configured the system along with setting up the Magic Remote.  When I just want to use the Arc without turning on the tv (eg. for playing songs using Alexa) I cannot control the volume of the Arc with the Magic Remote. Is there a way to make this work? The volume control works when the tv is on though.

Just wanted to shout out if anyone has this experience.  When a voice capable (I configure them with Google VA) device hasn’t been “spoken” to in a long time (I didn’t pay attention to what constitutes “a long time” but my hunch is around the order of 2-3 days), the first time the response will contain an audible click (very soft but nonetheless audible).  I will try and submit a diag next time this happens.  What other info can I collect if this happens again?

My Beam works great, HDMI to TV, except it drops out for 1-2 minutes every day at 7:59 PM CDT and TV speaker takes over, then the Beam comes back on. I’ve got Sonia set to update overnight, so it’s not that. Thoughts?

Hello Sonos-ians, I have a sonos arc and in built existing ceiling speakers (not sonos). I would like to connect them to my sonos arc for a full surround sound experience. Can you please advise what is the best way to achieve that? My TV is Sony A8H and has HDMI eARC.Typo in the title -Ceiling*Thanks!

Hi, I’ve searched and tried a few things but I keep having this really annoying issue when I change a record.  Complete novice, just got the system so I’m fairly certain there is some setting I am missing that is causing this.I’ve got a play 5 connected to my Audio-Technica LP120 turntable.  I also have a oneSL set up in my living room and when it works, it works great.  But it keeps disconnecting when I change a record.  The 5 will all of a sudden be full blast and the two speakers will be un-grouped and the App will say it can’t find my network.  I’ll have to sit and restart the app multiple times until it decides to find the signal again.I’ve reset the router, checked the wireless connection during it’s “outage” but the App just keeps losing the network. Please help if you can, and thank you.

Recently I am repeatedly getting the cannot find your Sonas system. I follow the instructions to press a button on the nearest speaker, the app says connected, I press done and it returns to ‘cannot find your system’ message! I have not changed my router, I have tried turning it off and on again and whilst this restores the connection, it quickly drops out again. I have 2 x 3’s, 2x 1’s and a Play, none of them are hardwired and have always worked perfectly. I use an iPhone and an iPad as controller. Any ideas, anyone?

I have successfully installed my new device ‘Connect’ (Serial No. D102 1909CP *redacted*), and it is working well. On my Apple iPad, I can stream music from different radio stations to my amplifier and loudspeakers. However, my music library is on my Apple MacBook Pro, but I cannot play any music from my music library. Sonos website says ‘install the MacOs app, then …’. But on the Apple store there is NO MacOs app to download. Can you please help by telling me what to do to play music from my MacBook Library? With advanced thanks, Hamid Radjy

HelloWe’re in the process of building a garden office. It will be triangular in shape, with one side being a sliding glass door.We make extensive use of Sonos throughout the rest of the house so have been thinking through the best options given the odd-shape of the space.Mostly will be listening to Spotify as background music whilst working at the desk. Some thoughts:1x Play Five, set horizontal (red dot on diagram) at desk height. 2x Play Ones, set at either end of the corner desk (blue dots) 2x In-ceiling Speakers, set either as the green or purple dotsI’d be very grateful for any advice or other recommendations/considerations.Thanks in advance - diagram below.

Hello,I have a Play:5 (Gen 2), and I use it to steam audio from a folder on my PC. Everything worked fine until a few weeks ago, but today I have not been able to access the media library on the PC. I just keep getting the error message: The Computer ‘PC Name’ is not responding. Nothing has changed on my PC (unless some Windows update has altered certain things). The same files on my PC are available to other devices, and I have double checked that sharing is switched on, both for the files, and specifically for Sonos being in the allowed list of streaming devices.I use the mobile app to control the speaker, but today I decided to install the Sonos controller on my PC, but I’m having the same issue, even on there. I’ve been through all the help pages, and I have ensured that both the controller and library service are ‘allowed apps’ in the Windows firewall. I also tried switching the firewall off completely, but no change. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, reconnecting the

I am a long time Sonos user (years).  I have changed room config and routers multiple times.  Until now I have never had any significant problems.  Now the app hardly ever connects to all (or sometimes any) of my 4 devices without restarting my phone or the router and / or a long wait.  I am reduced to using my Bluetooth connected speaker and am considering scrapping my Sonos (seriously).  I have fairly recently added a Play1 - the issue seems to have gradually worsened since.  Can anyone help?

Why can’t we get BBC Radio 4 on sonos any longer? Or any kind of TuneIn radio.

I have severe high frequency vocal sibilance distortion. Had it bad with both Arc and Beam. Lowering treble to minimum or TruePlay doesn't help much. The problem is my auditory perception. Someone advised to place a bath towel over Beam. I thought it was a joke. It's no joke. The thick fabric absorbs much HF energy while the midrange mostly passes through. Works better than any treble adjustment for me. So now I want to implement this on Arc. Since it is so wide I would like to target the center tweeter and tape a piece of fabric. Does anyone know the exact tweeter location in the center? Right the middle where it says Sonos or slightly to the left? Slightly right? Can't make it out exactly from thishttps://media.wired.com/photos/5ed7f8f4181421e8a6345331/master/w_2400,h_1800,c_limit/Gear-Sonos-Arc---Exploded-View.jpg I would appreciate only concrete helpful replies. If you want to make a mockery of this ancient EQ technique or comments about sound quality id prefer private messages. Th

My sonos system keeps dropping my connection to Sonos Radio or TuneIn radio stations.  Playback will stop abruptly, and when I go to restart it, the app will display a message along the lines of “Sonos has lost the connection to [instert station here].”  Sonos will not reconnect to these stations for a good 15-30 minutes.  This is not because I’ve lost internet--I can play Spotify or Radio Paradise endlessly, without interruption.  Sonos never loses to the connection to those.  Even when this happens, I can switch to one immediately for instant music, but I cannot switch back to Radio/TuneIn stations.  I know from having been working simultaneously to these drops happening that my wifi/internet service is NOT simultaneously dropping--there are a lot of systems I’d be losing access to.  I also know that this is NOT some issue with bandwidth--these drops happen when Sonos is the only thing running in my apartment. This is infuriating--do you know how hard it is to listen to This American

Hi,I can see that there is a new upgrade programme for the Sonos Play 1’s, Play 5’s and Connect AMP etc… Can I choose to use the discount on any products within the Sonos store? How does this work?EG: Can I use my Play 3 upgrade to get 30% discount on a Play 5 for example?I can’t really see this explained in the small print…Thanks!

Hiconnecting Sonos Boost to BT router stops Sonos S2 App connecting to existing systems and all connectivity between App and systems lost. VERY frustrating as I thought I bought Sonos Boost to replace Sonos Bridge as that was incompatible with Sonos 2 app that I had to upgrade to as I purchased a Sonos ARC.Thanks

I want to opt out of the new S2 download.  The instruction screen says to click learn more and then click continue using S1.  When i click learn more their is no option called S1. Any suggestions

I keep trying to cancel Sonos Radio HD on my account. There is no “My Subscriptions” page to click on, and the link from the Sonos support page only links back to the normal account page. I’ve called Sonos support twice, and nothing has changed. I’ve tried on my phone and on my computer to the same results. Has anybody else had this issue?

I’ve just moved and have a Beam and 2 SLs Ones as surrounds.I’ve run Trueplay but just wanted to check does it automatically work out which SL One is left and which is right? I couldn’t remember which one was which in the original setup and now I’m over thinking when I’m watching content whether they are left/right correctly. Thanks

Hi everyone. I'm using the Sonos app on Android. I simply want my morning alarm to play radio everywhere in my flat. But the group's aren't appearing when I go to set the alarm. I check 'include grouped rooms' but they don't appear. If I go out and come back in, it is unchecked. If I go to groups, the group's I've created aren't in there, but they are if I am playing music?I have a Move (based in one room), a One SL in one room; and a Beam and 2 X One SLs grouped as 'Lounge' for my TV in the living room. So that comes up fine but is more a group for surround sound rather than a bunch of speakers IYKWIM.I have a group called 'Everywhere' but it isn't showing even when grouped rooms' is ticked, and I just want it to play everywhere when I wake up. Not the end of the world but annoying daily...

This has been asked before, but the answers haven’t addressed the confusion - so here goes:In the app, click My Sonos->Edit. The message on screen says “Long press to rearrange content.”Bearing in mind that long-pressing does *not* allow me to rearrange content, what exactly does that message mean?Supplementary question: By default, stations in My Sonos are listed alphabetically. This does not correspond with how people normally select stations. The names of my favourite stations do not start with “A”. Yes, could rename them but that is a pretty inelegant solution. How about a new feature … perhaps something like “long-press to rearrange content”? Crazy idea?

Sonos is playing, but none of my components is playing any sound. This includes my various speakers and my Port.  Tried regrouping, made sure system was up to date, everything.  Nothing works. Also tried different sources - my library, stations. In all cases, Sonos claims it is playing, but no sound. And Sonos support is almost non-existent. I have been waiting for almost half an hour for a live agent on chat. What happened to Sonos? Why has it become so unreliable?

Hello, my Sonos system, purchased in 2017 and comprising a play 3 and two play 1s, needs to be reset and router likewise each and every time I want to listen to music. This is unbelievably frustrating - I have heard charges of so called ‘planned obsolescence’ levelled against Sonos.I hope this is not the case, I would like an explanation however thanks

Once upon a time, I owned a PS3 and a Sonos Playbar.  I seem to remember that I was able to force the PS3 to transcode DTS to Dolby Digital and I would then bypass my tv to get that to the Playbar (as the TV would convert anything from HDMI to PCM).  That PS3, TV and Playbar is now long gone and instead I have an LG GX and two Sonos AMPs.  I now again need a Blu-ray player to play my old collection of movies but it needs to have HDMI-CEC and preferably also some app-control.  Do I remember correctly that the PS3 would transcode on the fly and is that still the case? I can pick up used ones for pennies so it would be an easy solution.

Hello people,   Since I moved and plugged my play bar  into my Samsung smarttv ,  it makes a  Screeching noise  as soon as I power oN. It is not related to the  optical ,  because even if I removed it,  the noise persists.  (Sorry for my English)  I hope someone can help me. Thanks 🙏
