My set up is a Sony x900H (2020) with eArc sending audio to a Sonos system (Arc + 2 Play Ones + Sub).  It is running Android 9.When I stream a movie from Netflix that is designated as Atmos - the Sonos app S2 confirms Atmos in the big TV screen on the Sonos app and also in the System > About  My System > Sonos System info: Arc Sound In . When I stream from another source like Disney + the best I can get is Dolby Digital 5.1.  Nothing in Disney+ is marked anything other than 5.1.  Working with their support chat is a perfectly good way to waste an hour.  They blamed, Android, Sony and Sonos for their failure to provide Atmos content. When I stream a movie marked Atmos from a movie app using MX Player Pro as my media player, with the proper Atmos/TrueHD codec, the best I can get is 5.1 or Dolby Digital Plus 2.0. Any thoughts? Tips? Tricks? Magical incantations? to try would be appreciated.

So my fiance gave me a pair of Sonos 5 speakers for Christmas, thinking they would naturally pair with our existing Sonos setup (Beam, Sub, and two 1’s in Surround Mode).  The 5’s only show up as a Stereo Pair in a different room.  How can I link these speakers with my existing setup?  I’m trying to create the most basic of 5.1 systems.

On Black Friday I placed an order for a subwoofer. I got a notice on 11/28/2020 that it shipped. Today is 12/10/2020 and I still have not received my subwoofer.  Right now, I’m on hold waiting for Sonos customer service.  This is my second call. The first time I was on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. WTF Sonos?!? You can’t take $600 from someone and offer nothing in return.  

For some reason, I can no longer add my music folder to Sonos.I’m no “noob” having been a PC user for over 25 years and know my way around a PC, so have done this before, with no problems whatsoever.I have just tidied up my laptop, and rearranged where my music is filed, and it now resides at C:\Users\steve\Music.No matter what I do, Sonos will not accept that address when attempting to add that folder in the Music Library Settings. I have tried adding via the default My Music folder, and also typed the address in, hit next, and then allow the laptop to access that folder, nothing happens, it just hangs on the same screen, and when hitting the next button again, still no joy. I’ve also tried copying the music to another folder on the same drive, and then trying to add it that way, still no joy.I’ve also uninstalled my Sonos app, and reinstalled it, still no joy.My PC has not been reset in any way recently, so no issues with security prompts etc etc.Any ideas or help to rectify this, wo

We want to add a turntable to our setup but I am unsure what equipment I would need.I have searched the forums but it’s still unclear since either people don’t have the Playbar (it’s older) or there is conflicting information.I have a Playbar hooked up to a Samsung 55KU6300 TV, with 2x Sonos Ones for surround sound. I also have a couple Sonos Play:1 in other rooms.Options:I know I have the option of buying a Sonos 5 and hooking a turntable up to it, but I don’t really have any place to put a Sonos 5 + turntable.Another option is buying an Amp (or would only a Port work?).I don’t think I have any options as far as TV audio input goes as I don’t have anymore audio inputs available (Playbar uses optical).Anymore?

I have had this problem before, but was able to fix it through instructions regarding my firewall.  Now, my firewall is set to allow SONOS, and I suddenly have this situation again.  Very frustrating.  I removed my music folder from SONOS and tried to reinstall it.  Message says “Unable to locate the computer TOM.”  TOM is me.  That was the name of the music folder yesterday.  WebRoot did a scan of my computer last night.  Is that just coincidence?  What do I need to do to get my music back?

I am renovating my home and I don’t have space for a centerpiece like Sonos arc below the TV (TV will go on a marble fireplace). Can I use two wall speakers (or Sonos One’s) for front and two in ceiling speakers as rear speakers and achieve surround sound? If so, should I use one amp or two to connect those to TV? I have the new Samsung “the frame” 65”. Thank you!

 Hi, I have 1 sonos beam and 1 sonos one. I can control the volume of the sonos beam with the tv control but the sonos one does not work with the tv control. Any solution for this, thanks.

New Move speaker turns itself on and starts playing when I open the Sonos application on my laptop. It is grouped with other speakers.  Even when the other speakers (grouped) are muted, the Move will turn on and start playing all by itself.  This just started happening today.  The speaker is new - only have had it about a week.

I read a few older posts that the One SLs can’t be set to Full On for TV….just for music.  I was hoping that Sonos had changed this setting by now.  Has anyone figured that out yet?  I have 2 brand new One SL’s that are about to be returned because of this lack of flexibility.  Our Beam is great but we sit far enough back from the TV that we often say, “what did they just say?”  Was hopeful that 2 One SL’s would have fixed this for us vs turning the Beam up so high that others complain in the rest of the house that the tv is too loud.  Please advise if there is a hack for this to set the SLs up as Full On for TV. Thx!!

I’ve done a fair amount of research on this with no luck. I am looking for a DD+ or Dolby TrueHD test pattern that I can run through my ARC/Sub/ONE SL’s home theatre setup so I can review and possibly tweak some of the directional and volume levels of my setup. The TruePlay setup works fine but I would like to have more control over my environment.For instance, I would love to be able to send a white noise signal to just the Atmos speakers in the ARC so that I can determine the sweet spot for my room configuration. Another use would be to send a 20-40hz signal just to the Sub so that I can move it around and determine the best location. These features are available on dedicated A/V receivers but unfortunately not through the Sonos environment.Either way, if someone could help me in finding an audio test track that can send signals to each speaker that would be fantastic. I have recently moved to a remote area without Broadband, so am using a 4G Netgear Nighthawk MR2100 as my new router. This works well with very acceptable speeds for streaming etc. However Sonos will not connect to it. I have a PlayBar and Sonos 1 that have served me well for 3-4 years. The PlayBar is hardwired from the Nighthawk. The Nighthawk recognises that a Sonos product is connected to it, but neither the Sonos iOS app or the Mac App will connect to it. I have restarted and rebooted everything multiple times and checked for updates. The Nighthawk MR2100 is not on Sonos’s list of unsupported models. Can anyone help? Thanks

I have an older Bridge and if I remember correctly I was informed that it was no longer needed for S1 and player 3. I   have switched over to S2 for my player 3 and added a Move as well. Is there anyway to use my older  bridge on s2 for these two products and is it worth the effort? If not is there a way to sell it that it others can use it? TY Bob

My Sonos move displays in the app but does not display battery charge and won't enable status lights or touch controls. I've tried full turn of but still won't display correctly.

I have just connected my brand new Pro-Ject Debut Carbon to a Play five. Very bad sound. Have to play almost 100% to hear anything. Any good quick fix?

Hi,I have the Sonos Move and it says the battery will last for up to 900 ‘charges’. What is exactly considered a ‘charge’? Is it when I lift the speaker up and set it back down on the charger instantly? If I never take the speaker off the dock, would that just be one ‘charge’ and will help the battery last longer?Thanks! 

I am trying to simplify life so that multiple PCs can update music library and update Sonos.  A networked drive connected to 2 PCs would both need to update the music library.  Does this work with Sonos V2 and are there any issues with multiple PCs adding to the playback queue in different rooms.  This is a “music is locally stored question”. 

Hi folks. I have a beam set up with my TV. Considering two One’s to create a surround sound but wonder if all 3 devices connect with each other wirelessly? I.e all the new Ones’s need is a power source… I assumed this was the case up until I started being confused with amplifiers and so on, not sure if I need an additional item to sync together wirelessly now. Any advice appreciated. Cheers,Rhys

Hi guysOut of curiosity.  I have a sonos surround system with one Sonos Arc , 2 Subs Gen 3 and 2 Sonos one SL as surround speakers. I wonder, is the a way to connect two additional One SL to the same system ? A few weeks ago they upgrade the S2 to connect two Subs. I did buy another Sub Gen 3 and it is amazing how the system improves with two subs. I would like to add two more SL but I think us not possible.  Will it be ??

Just got the Arc, loving it, but wondering if I need to change the physical setup as it does block the TVs IR receiver.  In the app I have enabled the IR repeater, but it doesn't seem to work. The TV receiver is on the far left, where is the IR repeater on the arc? Is there anything I can try?

Hey, I´d like help with confirming that the plan in my head is actually viable in reality aswell. I just picked up an old vinyl player and I want to use this together with my current and future Sonos speakers. I´m gonna buy a pre-amp for the vinyl player in order to get it to line level. I have 5 Symfonisk speakers and I´m looking to buy a Sonos Arc to pair with my TV. What I´d like to confirm is that I will be able to use the Vinyl player together with the Symfonisk and the Arc and that the Symfonisk will also work as rear speakers for the Arc together with the TV. Is that possible by only buying a Sonos Connect gen 1? A second question, do the Connect gen 1 work over Wifi or is it in need of a ethernet cable? Best regards & Thanks

I have a 5.1.2 setup (Arc, Sub, 2x One SL) for my tv, which works great.  I wanted to add another single speaker in my kitchen which would also play the sound from the TV.  Is that possible?  In the app I don't see how to add another speaker to my existing room.  Or do I make a new room and somehow group it with the TV Room set?  Just want to make sure it's possible before I buy another One SL.  Thanks!
