I’m not seeing a desktop controller app for my MAC to link my iTunes account to the Sonos app on my iPhone.  The MAcBook pro is older.  

Hello, i bought a sonos surround System with sonos arc, 2 sonos One sl and sonos sub 3rd gen. But i have a projector bene w2700 Is It possible to connect the 2 device and male them work properly with surround?I tried to do so Yesterday but sonos app was giving me problems about CEC options or something likes that.

Hi, Recently got a Sonos arc. Wired up ok, but sound is really poor. Worse than my beam. Think it may be faulty. Tried to run the trueplay tuning.  Initial wave of sounds are ok. End up with a green circle on my iPhone,  then tuning just gets stuck on ‘listening to test tones’. I am guesssing some speakers are not firing and so the tuning can’t complete?Any advice appreciated.  ThanksA

I have a playbar, sub, two sonos one(gen 2) configured using the sonos ones as surround speakers. The mic (for Alexa) works on one of the sonos ones. I believe when the sonos ones are used as surrounds, only one mic is active. Is this correct?I want the active mic to be on the other sonos one. What is the best way to accomplish this?

I have 7 devices and the system has been unstable for a few days. It drops rooms, sometimes it sends music though them, but they are not listed on the S1 controller on either mine or my wife's phones. I have reset the rooms that keep dropping, and the Linksys Velop WiFi net and it has not sorted the problem

So a couple of weeks ago I changed he name of my PC to remove confusion with another one running in the house.  Sonos and my music was stored on the machine I changed names on, and now when I try to play music Sonos tells me it can’t find the server and quotes the previous computer name….I suspect it has to do with that computer name change. How do I sort this, please? Cheers

I would like to direct my Alexa to play a spotify playlist on a certain wired home speaker. Sonos will do it with my sonos app. I want to use Alexa. Any help? 

MANY of us are having problems using powerline adapters with SONOS. This is not an unfixable problem, so when will it be full-on addressed? Sonos did not (and actually seems unwilling to) address their ongoing ethernet-setup issue. The needs for most of us to make SONOS work over ethernet powerline adapters are two fold:(1) Many of us use ethernet to connect our SONOS speakers; sometimes for performance issues with our wifi, and others recognize that their wifi radiation is worse than a Chernobyl cancer zone. No matter which, after spending dozens of hours on the phone with about a dozen SONOS tech’s, no one has  been able to solve the issue. If we want to turn off SONOS dangerous radiation, then we need to use ethernet. (2) Who wants wires running all over the place through their house or apartment? Duh. After hours with SONOS techies, I ‘get’ the problem: ¾ of powerline adapter issues relate to the fact that many/all/most powerline ethernet adapters generate new IP’s for each/every c

I’ve followed the Sonos  instructions for adding my music library to a Mac using the Sonos Controller for Mac  app - Sonos S2. But after thinking about it for a few seconds the app returns the message:Sonos was unable to add the music folderThe computer “Barrys-Macbook-Air” cannot be found.Q1. Why can’t the app find my computer when it’s been  installed on it ?   Where did it get this computer name from and can it be changed ?According to “About this Mac” on my machine it names my computer as : Barry’s MacBook Air  Note the apostrophe s and the use of spaces rather than dashes between words, which is subtly different from what the sonos app says it is looking for.  Incidentally, according to my Plusnet hub the name of the  my computer on the home network is simply Barrys-Air with an IP address of 192.168.1.92Q2. I don’t suppose it matters too much what names are used for the computer, just so long as the Sonos app and anything else that wants to access it uses the correct numerical IP

SiriusXM channels won’t update artist and song while playing.  Started about 3 weeks ago.  

Hi! I have a playbar and two Sonos ones set up as surround speakers. I want to add a Sonos turntable but am confused what I will need to connect it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.kind regards 

Morning all.  PLEASE HELP. I have the S1 controller.Having tried all the steps to update my Play 3 speaker, it keeps giving the error code 30 or 1013.Following the same instructions, my Play 1 has successfully updated I have reset to factory settings, deleted and re downloaded the app, moved it directly next to and tried direcetly connected via Ethernet cable to router etc etc etc Is the product obsolete? What more can I do?

Is there a way to order/organize the Audible library on the Sonos app? Every time I want to listen to a book, I have to sort through any number of other books. I’ve called Audible but they can’t help and suggest that I call Sonos.  I have over 50 titles in my library. There are 3 of us in our household so we have a lot of books and read for different reasons and at different paces. 

I have a 2020 LG CX series, and when I connect the Sonos Arc it does not appear to recognize it as dolby atmos compatible. When I select the TV internal speakers for the sound ouput the dolby vision/dolby atmos logo appears. When I switch to the hdmi e-arc input (sonos arc) it only displays dolby vision. I dont understand why it is not registering the dolby atmos with my sonos arc.  

Before:   Three Sonos devices, Play 1, Play 3, and Connect: amp. Sonos Windows Controller installed on my desktop, Able to play music from Music Library, and life was good. Connect:Amp hardwired into Ethernet network, other two wireless. Then: I installed Mcaffee Total Protection on desktop, and and changed my wireless router from Google Fiber provided wifi to a Google Mesh Wifi network. It took some doing, but I was able to get all three devices to come back up, streaming works fine. The problem:   Windows App does NOT show the Sonos devices like before, trying to play from Music Library from my IPhone or Ipad returns “Server Cannot be Found”, and won’t play. I saw that Mac Total Protect can cause firewall problems, so I turned Firewall off, but no change. Looking at my Google Fiber network diagram, Sonos devices are there, but now grayed out, and designated “Disconnected”

As many other the music library on my Mac/S1 is not updating with Cataline. I have unplucked, restarted, remove and added new path but no update available to the music library. Did anyone find a solution to this? Or is their no solution other than the Air play via Apple TV?   

I have a Beam with a Sub and 2x Ones.  It is fed by a 2017 TV with ARC but not eARC.  I sometimes feed in my laptop via a Creative Soundblaster card which outputs 5.1 via optical.  I know I would not get Atmos via these feeds if I swapped out the Beam for a Sonos Arc but was wondering what the Arc would output given these 5.1 inputs.  Would I get standard 5.1 (although I’m assuming the quality would improve given the bigger speaker) or would the Arc do something clever and enhance the sound further? 

Looking for some help. I have a turntable connected to a Yamaha amplifier. I’m trying to use a Sonos port to then connect this to the rest of my Sonos speakers. The Yamaha amp also has speakers connected to it (non-Sonos) that I’d also like the audio to play through at the same time. However when setting up in the same room as a Sonos arc there is a noticeable delay in the audio. I’ve decreased to the minimum audio delay but still noticeable. Can someone advise? There is no delay when all speakers are being used to stream audio bough Spotify, it only seems to be when using the turntable to play vinyl (which is the reason I bought the port in the first place!) ive attached an image of my amp. I currently have the ‘audio in’ from the port going into REC and the ‘audio out’ going into the PB. 

Dear community,I have updated two speaker names in the Sonos app. I want to use them as surrounds together with a Beam. However the names in the Google home app have not been automatically updated. Do you know how to push the Sonos names to google app or force an update?Thanks, Robert 

Fairly minor irritation but these loom large during lockdown (especially UK Tier 4).I use a Beam as my PC speaker so that when not watching movies on the PC I can have good sound quality for background music.  Most of the music I listen to is from my 600+ CDs ripped to .flac and served by Plex from a NAS.  Don’t know how many different artists there are but I usually select on artist rather than CD name and this is the root of my question.  On the Apple apps (have both iPhone and iPad) selecting by artist name is helped by an alphabet index link down the right hand side of the selection screen so getting to something like Van Morrison is quite painless.  This alpha link does not appear to exist on the PC app and scrolling through hundreds of artists is a pain.  I wonder: (i) is this a set up issue? or (ii) how do I make a request to Sonos to update the PC App?      

I’ve seen a variety of topics on this but no definitive answer (there was a link on one but it comes up invalid). How can I set up SONOS in two different houses? In the second house the app wants to start all over on the new wifi. I’ve seen an answer about using Boost mode vs WiFi mode, have no idea how that’s done (link to it was not valid), and I don’t use Alexa. Just give me a clear, step by step way to have SONOS working in two separate houses, please!

Hi, is there any possibility of how to test Dolby Atmos without TV? I have Samsung TV (2018) with Arc only and cannot play Dobly Atmos. However, I would really like to test the Dolby Atmos to hear the difference.Is there some service (Tidal perhaps) or some sound file or some other way of how to play some Dolby Atmos right from the Sonos S2 app (without TV)? Or must it be played from TV via HDM eARC? Thanks,Jakub

I currently have 2 Sonos SL ONES I HAVE ORDERED A SONOS ARC CAN ANYONE TELL ME PLEASE CAN I HAVE THE ARC WORKING ON A WAN CABLE AND THE SL ONES ON WIFI 

After an initial successful setup with two Sonos Ones, I have recently expanded my Sonos setup using a Beam and two Play:1. This has led to me moving the Ones to other rooms. I’ve renamed them, and re-tuned. Frequently, going into the app, they’ve reverted to their old ‘room names’. I can re-name them back again, and checking on all my mobile devices this applies successfully. Next day, the changes are undone again. So far, tried asking Alexa to rediscover devices, and have deleted Apple Home app. Any ideas?

Hi, I’m having trouble connecting my beam to the projector output.Device: Sonos BeamProjector: XGIMI H2 So I have connect all the cable and settings, but still no sound coming out from the projector, is it because my cable are too long? or should I buy the optical converter instead? Please advise.I attached my set up for to understand better.Thank you.
