Hi all. Just got an Arc. Really bad audio delay when using Xbox series x - seems to be about 100ms. I have tried all the options in this forum but can’t improve it. Any tips before I return the arc? There is also a delay with my sky Q box but not as bad. Apps on tv play fine.thanks

We have a pair of Play 5’s: Generation one speakers. Will they stream lossless 24bit FLAC from primephonic? I think I understand that the Generation 1’s will play FLAC - but not the 24 bit. Thanks to anyone who can clarify.

Hi combined with a Sonos ARC what is the optimal height of a set of ONE SL’s as rear speakers. The back of my sofa is to a wall. All of the official images picture the rear speakers Behind and at head height, when sitting in the sofa. My question is if i can mount the rear speakers via flexson brackets high up on the wall close to the cealing at 7ft 10inches (2,4m). Will it affect the surround experience when the speaker is basically above my head rather than behind?

How can I connect to my mobile router? Currently I just have internet via a mobile minirouter. Subsequently I cannot connect the ethernet cable to the router as advised in the set up on the Sonos app. I’ve tried connecting my Sonos One via the ethernet cable in my apt. and leaving the mobile minirouter close to the speaker. No success. Any advice, please? 

Hi guys newbie here but absolutely pulling my hair out with adding my surrounds to my beam.Beam works fine but when I go to connect the surrounds - it says that I need compatible speakers and check they are on WiFi.ive gone through the whole power down everything routine and start up one by one but nothing…I have even connected via Ethernet and nothing, it’s as if they are not even recognized at all as they don’t show up….. any help would be much appreciated 

Hi. I have just bought an LG OLED55CXPTA. The magic remote does not work to control the volume on my SONOS Playbar.    I understand that the issue is because the Playbar requires an IR signal and the Magic remote uses Radio frequency.    However I have found many solutions to this problem online for the LG C8 and C9 models to resolve the issue. However, the interface on the  LG CX models is not the same, it doesn’t give you the option to select a ‘Remote type’.    On the CX models you can select SONOS as a manufacturer of soundbar in the Device Connection Settings, but this doesn’t make it work. I almost got it working by using the ‘Phillips’ option saying no to the power option and then a Vol+ option case up which worked with the SONOS app instructions and I could see the IR light flash on the SONOS unit when doing so, but then the SONOS app asked for the Vol- button to be pressed and that option wasn’t available on Device Connection settings.    LG’s response is to simply say the

I’d like a nice stereo setup I can use with my tv as well as for streaming music and have settled on the Sonos Amp to act as the hub due to the compact size and it has all the connectivity I want.  I want to add on Sonos Ones in other rooms eventually. Now I really like the Wharfedale Denton 85s, but am slightly confused by all the different power ratings.  These speakers have a nominal impedance of 4ohms (min 3.8) and the manufacturers website recommends an amp of 20-120W.  The Sonos Amp is rated at 125w at 8ohms but that goes to 250w at 4ohms.  Would this be a problem?  Can an amp really have too much power for passive speakers?  Or will it just be overhead I’m not using? Any advice appreciated, cheersPete

 Recently disposed on my Playbar, and considering a beam or Arc as a replacement.big price difference, but if i can’t make use of all the features of the arc might as well get a beam and put the difference to a sub and stick with the two play 3 for rear speakers.this is the tv will the arc connect and make use of eARC the Atmosthanks & Merry Christmas   

I’ve seen similar talk a few year back but nothing recent. Is it not possible to Airplay a Beam when it is bonded with other speakers? the suggestion seems to be to Group them instead but I’d have no proper surround if I do that. I’ve seen the explanations on the older Playbar etc but my three speakers are a day old and are sold as AirPlay compare ale with no mention of that being disabled when using them bonded.Are their any ways around this at all?

Our Sonos SL keeps loosing the internet connection after not used a couple of hours. Works again after unplugging and plugging in again, but it is kind of uncomfortable. Tried using the connect button, but it seems it doesn’t restore the connection. If it’s the problem solver, how long should it be pressed in order to work? 

My Sonos beam bar worked perfectly for 3 months (predominantly being used to play music from my iPhone via the home WiFi network). Over the last few weeks my Sonos is not available to stream my music through, unless I turn my router on and off again. Every time I turn my router on / off I can use the Beam again, but only once, then when I go to use it again it is not available to connect to. If I go into the Sonos app, I get an error message saying “unable to connect to Sonos”, until I turn the router on / off again! any ideas for W fix very welcome!

Hello all!So this is a super weird issue. I have had 4 SYMFONISK Sono speakers for about 18 months now. These speakers have been phenomenal and have never given my any issues… until today.Today I noticed that when I opened the Sonos App, it said that it could not connect to Sonos and the icons were all just the pulsating gray loading color. I gave it a few hours because I wasn't using them and it never fixed itself (I assumed it was wifi issues).I then went through and reset all 4 of my speakers and created a new “system” on the same wifi network.Now after doing that, I began playing music and only 2 minutes into the first song the music stopped and I began experiencing the SAME issues. This issue also included my products missing under the “System” option in the settings. I have been closing and reopening the apple for some time now and now one of my stereo pairs went from not existing to being “Bedroom (L+?)”. I am not sure why it keeps disconnecting from the products that I JUST con

Is there a specific amount of latency when plugging a source into the line-in on a play:5?Considering plugging a DJ into a play:5 so that the play:5 acts as the local “monitor” and ideally needs to have very low latency.The next scenario is then “grouping” other speakers to distribute this audio around the home…. I presume this will then add latency to the whole system so that all Sonos units are in sync.…So are there specific details on the amount of latency (in ms) involved? Is it system dependent, does it actually have latency regardless of whether it is grouped or not?

So I have the Sonos Arc and like many many people here I’m getting audio dropouts while streaming through my android TV (Sony X900h).  I have it connected to port 3 (eARC port) and have changed the port to enhanced etc.  I also have a PS5 connected to port 4 (so both are on hdmi 2.1). I’ve never had a dropout or sound loss etc. from the PS5 so clearly sound can travel from one to the other, however I constantly get sound dropout from the Arc while streaming. I’ve seen advice to hardwire the Arc (difficult but I could do it) but how does it actually receive audio?  If I’m streaming through my TV (say the netflix app) and my TV then relays the sound to the Arc through the hdmi cable then how does hardwiring the Arc do anything?  Isn’t the data coming first through the TV and then to the Arc?  Is the video data somehow coming to the TV but the audio data getting sent via wifi?  Or am I mixing this up and the wifi is only an issue if you’re streaming audio to it say from your phone or thro

My Sonos Play 5 can’t connect to network, flashing white 4 times, turn orange, flash white once and then red, and turn back to green, and the cycle repeating itself.  Anyone could advice how to resolve this issue.Daignostic info : 772673488

hi all.  i have recently purchased a sonos arc soundbar to play dolby atmos on.  my room is one of those that years ago used to be a seperate sitting room and dining room which someone in the past has had converted into one room.  this means my tv on the wall and soundbar underneath are central to old living room but not to overall room and there is a large area to the left (as you look at tv) of the soundbar compared to the right.  my question is when using trueplay do i walk around the whole room or just the area i am watching the tv/soundbar from. i hope this makes sense thanks

I’have a problem. Today the sonos one (Used as surround speaker in the home theater system) doesn’t work. I can’t connect them anymore to the system!! When i use the app and select “configure” surround (in the arc+sub system), it doesn’t see anymore the surround!!who can Help me?? thanks

So I have some Sonos components that are not S2 controller compatible.  I have been pleased to see the upgrade program changed so that you don’t have to brick your old equipment.  That being said, this past month has brought some required updates to the older equipment that make it unusable.  The S1 controller indicates that several components need an update, but said update never goes through.  I have restarted all of my network equipment, changed DNS servers, rebooted audio gear and even plugged it in to a network cable, plugged into the switch on the router.  None of this has worked and it seems that I will be unable to use the components I purchased, quite a few actually.I have been with Sonos since the early days and believe that the system is still the best.  Despite my loyalty, I will not be very happy if I have to trash my existing equipment because of a forced update that never works.Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I have exhausted all of the advice that I have foun

I have a recently purchased Samsung 80QT TV and added a Sonos ARC. I’m very pleased with this set up so far.I am looking to add additional rooms for music.  What are your suggestions for adding 2 rooms to the ARC?  What are you suggestions for adding a turntable?

The play all on Tidal thru my Sonos just stopped working.  It plays just one sone and stops.  Before it went thru all the songs of the artist.   The top tracks works on Spotify but just stopped on Tidal in the last week.  What is the issue?

Hello, I own a Sony - Bluetooth Stereo Turntable and I am using a Sonos Five with a (cheap) pre-amp to connect them to my Sonos system (Beam+2Ones+Sub) so I can get all my speakers working. Currently I am not happy at all with the sound because it sounds cheap. I think there should be a way of getting a nice sound from the turntable. I am thinking on the following: Buying the Sonos Amp and use it to connect the turntable to the Sonos system and probably get rid of the Sonos Five.  Upgrade my current preamp to a better one like Pluto 2 or Pro-Ject Phono Box, keep the Sonos Five for the Line-In but I am not sure if this will upgrade my sound as much as I want it. Any thoughts on this? I have the Sonos system and the Turntable+Sonos Five in the same big room.  Thank you all!
