Hi all!I’m only having the sonos beam connected to my TV (sony bravia X800h or XH80) and it’s showing an audio input of Dolby Digital 5.1, while the beam should only be 3.0. So, my question is, should it be on Dolby Digital 5.1 or on 2.0? And if it should be on 2.0, do you know how to change that?Greetings, Arvid!

I have a Sonos Symfonisk, AirPlay2 compatible speaker in my Kitchen (and other Sonos speakers in other rooms)The room is called “Kitchen”In the Apple Home app, the Kitchen speaker is also in a room named “Kitchen”I play music to the speaker sometimes through the Sonos app, sometimes from AirPlay from an apple device (iOS 14.2)I notice that the speaker name keeps changing from “Kitchen” to “Kitchen Speaker” after a day or soI don’t want it called “Kitchen Speaker”, I just want it called “Kitchen” so that the Airplay2 controls show it as a speaker with name “Kitchen”. The name “Kitchen Speaker” is too long and doesn’t look good in the AirPlay2 controls.Why does the name keep changing?Is it because the device has the same name as the room?

Hi,For 6 months now one of my Sonos One speakers has been rebooting itself during playback. Playback stops, the white LED pulsates on and off, and the music playback does *not* resume.I use either Spotify Connect or via AirPlay from my iPhone. I have three Sonos One speaker and a Playbase/Sub combo, and this specific Sonos One is the only speaker that reboots itself.  In my opinion, the volume level seems to be a factor, although this is an observation rather than a scientific measurement.My apartment is a single floor, open plan layout, and my AmpliFi Router HD base station is located close to the centre of the apartment, meaning that no device is more than 6-7 metres (20-23 feet) away (as measured straight line, ignoring any walls). My AmpliFi reports the following information about this Sonos Speaker:  Signal: 83%, Rx Bitrate: 48.00 Mbps, Tx Bitrate: 24.00 Mbps.This morning it happened again, and within 5 minutes I submitted a diagnostic, which has reference number 647034020.  The r

Hi I had to update my WD My Cloud to OS 5 and in doing so I lost connection to my library. I am running sonos on S1 as I have a Play:5 and bridge that don't support S2. Once updated the WD My Cloud, the link to my music library needed to be updated. I have tried to do this via the conversational NAS drive connection that we had before and the My Cloud Home Service setting, neither work. Nas drive gives me a error 900, where I've followed instructions to adapt the bite rate to 24 and 26 and I still get the issue. When I go through the My Cloud Home Service I can see the directories but no music files. Please can you advise, I feel like I'm going around in circles. Very frustrating..!  

Just a quick ask if anyone has discovered or heard anything regarding the 12/8/20 update besides the traditional performance updates, and other such etc...

I”m a network technician.   I have 16 sonos speakers, some wired, some wireless, some paired, some singles.  Just added, Part of this collection is a playbar, sub, two Play 1’s .   Network is 4 point mesh system, three remote wifi are ethernet backhauled.  No speakers are more the 20 feet from a wifi point, or are wired direct into a ethernet switch.  Gigabit internet connection, but I play 90% of my music from my 8 bay Synology NAS.I am having a TERRIBLE time with this system now.  Songs skip frequently before completing.  It is maddening.  Rarely is a full song played.Also, possibly related, possibly not, when I group all of the speakers together to play ‘whole house’  it can take 5 min before some of the speaker come on.  Sometimes if I move the collective volume slider up or down, the remaining will pop on.Diagnostics:  Your confirmation number is: 2099408113 Many thanks,StephenCary, NC

I am convinced something is wrong with one of my speakers, but I am trying to diagnose it.  In playing apple music, using the S2 app, directly to a Sonos Play one, songs will play half way through, then skip to the next, or will skip several resulting in long periods of silence.I have tried unplugging the device and plugging back in, I have tried moving closer to an access point, I have tried rebooting the network (which should not be a resolution unless it only has to be done with updates).  Nothing seems to be fixing this.Playing from the app should be the purest way of playing anything (it cuts out Alexa, it cuts out airplay, etc).What else can I try?

Hi,  We got 4 sonos player 1 speakers in the flat. Since December 2019 when using sonos the songs skip to the next song before finishing (this occours with Spotify, YouTube Music and Sound cloud through the sonos app). E.g. We can't search and play a spesific song without the song skip before being played through. If we liste to a channel or radio through sonos it normally works fine so it has something to do with the app and not interference. We also tried to play sonos directly from Spotify to the speakers without the app and it seem to work fine. In other words it is the app and not the wifi that is the problem.  I have Sony phone that I use and my girlfriend has an Iphone. We have used the same phones for a year now and the problem started in December.  We are also having trouble with getting all 4 speakers to play at the same time. Strangely, the speaker next to the wifi is the one with the most trouble and the one furter aways normally got connection. We have tried to re-install

When playing Atmos through Arc volume on S One SL surrounds will sometimes be very loud.  It will almost sound like it is as loud and same sound that is coming out of Arc itself, then sharply cut back to a lower level surround only type sound. Any thoughts to start troubleshooting?The source is Netflix Away. This question has been around for several years and does not appear to have been resolved. I discovered it last night with 3 of my albums named Maiden Voyage.  A search for the by album name brings up  one listing with all 3 albums’ tracks.  If I search by artist, yes then only one of the albums appears. Sonos it is time to address this issue.

I’ve been using this app for quite some time across several Sonos devices and yesterday the app when opened was empty of content and displaying a message “unable to browse music”. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but the problem remains. What is the problem and who owns it - Sonos or radio.net?     

Looking for some help.  I have a Playbar (ethernet to Google Nest router), Play5, 2 Play1s, Sub, and a Move.  The Playbar is the only speaker connected via ethernet.  All of the other speakers appear to be connecting to my home WiFi.  In About My System, it shows WM:0 for the Playbar and WM:1 for all the other speakers. Two questions…1) My Sub is not working (can’t feel it vibrate).  Note, in the Sonos app, in the System menu it displays Kitchen (+Sub) so it seems like it recognizes it.2) Is there a reason that all my devices (aside from the Move) are not connecting via Sonosnet instead of my Wifi?  My house is small so all the speakers are not too far apart. I’ve tried factory resetting all the speakers multiple times.  I’ve also tried connecting each device through an ethernet when resetting them.  However, once I unplug the ethernet, they connect through WiFi again.  And I don’t know how to make Sonos “forget” my WiFi.  Note, all the speakers work, except for the Sub (I just don’t u

Sonos thinks I upgraded to Sonos 2, but I didn't. Now it won't recognize my older speakers. I deleted my Sonos 1 apps, and re-loaded them. The icons clearly say Sonos 1, but the app still claims that my Play 1 and my Sonos Connect Amp are incompatible. How do I fix this?

We have a small house so I was looking at one or two Sonos Ones to pair with my Beam for TV but then be able to separate them for general music listening in separate rooms or on the balcony  - is this easy to do and would you recommend with one or two One’s

I am confused about how to stream audio from my MacBook Pro to my new Sonos Arc.any advice?

I just joined the Sonos community and set up a pair of One SLs in my living room and linked them as a stereo pair (Will connect to Arc and Sub for surround sound once they arrive). I purchased the Amp (connected to turntable and bookshelf Paradigm speakers) so I could stream my vinyl from the basement up to the living room. I started spinning a record and attempted to have it play on the SLs but no audio came out. When I unlinked the SLs as a stereo pair, the audio worked and came out of both SLs equally. Is there a reason the amp the won’t stream to a stereo pair of speakers? This would be disappointing as I would want to keep the SLs as a stereo pair for the surround sound, but also want to listen to vinyl. Don’t want to have to unpair every time!

I am waiting to pick up my arc next week. I just got the 5's today. I can't use them with my TV unless I use the 3.5mm jack. I wanted to will I be able to pipe the sound from my TV through them once I have my arc connected?

I know Sonos only pander to us minority users that still play out own collections from NAS or Samba but would it not be possible to continue where the queue left off when changing briefly to a Radio Station? Instead it resets the queue back to the first track every time.

Soundbar white light not working but I have sound. Have reset but still no light? Any ideas?

Thank you for trying to help in advance, I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to solve the issue.My sonos system is all wired through a port and connect box.For years it has worked with the Virgin Hub 3 and Orbi in AP mode. I have now tried to configure with the ORbi in router mode to get the parental controls now the kids are online.I’ve tried the Hub 3 in modem and the Orbi in router mode as well as both in Router mode but the wired sonos cannot be accessed through the app in either case. Does anyone have any suggestions?
