We have arc, 2 one sl and a sub as home theatre. Does the arc work noticeably better if it’s not enclosed on a shelf in a tv stand…or will we notice a difference if it’s freestanding on top of the tv unit? Thanks for any advice

Since the Arc has both upward firing and side firing drivers, placing it on the top of the unit would be the much better option.

Why not try it and see which you prefer?
It is probably going to be better on top as the upward speakers can do their thing, but Trueplay may improve the “in-cabinet” sound.
