Do Trueplay settings reside on the iPhone itself via S2, or in the speaker itself?  Reason for asking is if I set Trueplay up through one iphone but actually use another when listening.

In the speaker itself. The iOS controller makes the measurements, does the sums, and uploads the Trueplay profile.

During music play the controller is entirely optional. It simply tells the player what to do. It doesn’t participate in the audio stream.
