I currently have a projector with an Amazon Firestick and a BluRay player plugged into its two hdmi inputs. Stereo audio out from the projector goes to a stereo Bluetooth speaker (JBL Extreme) via a cable.

I've just moved house and now have a dedicated cinema room.

I want to use a Sonos Arc to give me a Dolby Atmos capability but need to be able to stream videos (from a 4K Amazon Firestick), play BluRay videos and also play Xbox games.

The Arc only has a single HDMI input so what's the solution?

Arc’s single input is HDMI-ARC/eARC, so it couldn’t accept even one of your source devices directly. It’s designed to connect to a TV. Unless your projector has an HDMI-ARC/eARC port (unlikely) you’d need to bypass the projector for the audio.

Check out the HDFury Arcana adapter. You’d need an HDMI switch in front of it, to select between sources. The outputs from Arcana would then go to your projector (for video) and the Arc (for audio).

Yes. I was expecting to need something into which I could plug the Firestick and the DVD (and xbox etc) and connect that to the Arc and the projector.

I use this switch. A FireStick is literally plugged straight into it (though it does obstruct adjacent inputs without an HDMI extender), along with DVD and YouView box. The switch output feeds into an Arcana. The audio then goes to Sonos; video goes to a non-ARC TV.

What does the Arcana do?

What does the Arcana do?

It generates an HDMI-eARC signal for the Arc, as if the Arc was connected to a compatible TV port.
