I just bought the Samsung Q90A tv and turned on the eARC feature for my Sonos Arc. Everything has been set to Auto as far as audio detection goes, but I notice that the native apps on the TV like HBO and Netflix and Spotify do not play in Atmos

Am I doing something wrong? for reference I used HBO on my Xbox One X and it played in Atmos

Dolby Atmos isn’t yet supported on HBO Max on Samsung TVs.

Spotify doesn’t offer Dolby Atmos audio.

Be sure you have a Premium Netflix subscription and make sure the streaming quality is set to High or Auto.

Thanks for that! I guess it isn’t “true” Atmos but the Spotify app on my Xbox app is playing at Atmos

frustrating you can’t use native apps on Samsung with Atmos playback

Spotify only offers stereo 2.0 audio. I think your Xbox is converting everything up to Dolby Atmos, which is not really Dolby Atmos.

Netflix should play Dolby Atmos audio from your TV’s native Netflix app as long as you have a Premium subscription and your TV’s settings are correct.

Also, be sure to set Digital Output Audio on your TV to Pass Through.
