Our Move dropped from the system for no apparent reason and now we are unable to find it or reload it. We have tried re-booting, installing again, re-loading the app. Nothing seems to work.
Forgive me if this has already been covered but my search didn’t find it. I would like to make my Roams a separate system for travel/holidays. I want the facility of a stereo pair so, as I understand it, Bluetooth doesn’t do what I want. If I try and reset them to do this and reset the app, then as soon as I log in with my email address, the app goes looking for the rest of the system it knows I have. Then it doesn’t seem to want me to connect to another network because it can’t find everything. My question: Do I need to create a new Sonos account with a different email so that I can have another “household”, or am I missing something obvious? TIA
We have a play bar, sonos one and move set-up in a system and the move dropped and we are unable to connect it again - 10+ hours into it already and the chat bot is worthless on this subject - any insight from the community?
Hi everyone,I own two Sonos Roam’s, often configured in stereo mode and the app version is 15.2.1.I used this system in the last year without any issues, I usually open up the app on my iPhone/iPad Pro and the Roam’s wake-up immediately. In the last month until today, this simply function seem broken. I always have to turn on manually the both Roam’s.I didn’t change anything, maybe it’s the last update (of the app? of the firmware?) but I cannot be sure. What I can check?
I can’t find my sonos roam anywhere. Is it possible for sonos to check the serial number and see if it has been registered anywhere else? Guessing one of my kids friends may have snagged it.
I recently installed a Sonos Amp along with a Roam on my new patio. So far, I am loving the audio. The Roam teamed with the Amp gives me hands-free voice control over everything I want outside. My hope was that, with the Roam, it could be left outdoors during the warmer months and only need to be brought inside in the Winter. My Question is: What kind of temperatures should I be able to keep the Roam outside 24/7? I have a wireless charger set up and the Roam is mounted on a wall under an awning and pergola, so other than dust and wayward water spray, it should get very little direct contact with the elements. I figured that I would need to keep the Roam indoors during the Winter months but would be curious if anyone else has done something similar and what their experiences were.
Hello, I sent my son a Sonos Roam to Fort Bragg. He can’t use it or even get to the Bluetooth mode because he can’t do the initial set up. Army base Wi-Fi doesn’t let him in. I know he has to be on a home network for initial set up but there must be a way he can bypass this. Thank you for your help! I’ve read about travel routers or using a hotspot but I’m not sure how to explain this to him because I’m not very techie.
Hi. At home, my pair of Sonos Move work perfectly. At home I have some Amps, Beam+Sub, roam. Now at a second house, I created a new setup with Sonos beam+Sub connected via Wi-Fi. When trying to add Sonos Move from Sonos App, system can not discover them. I reseted speakers, but nothing changed.Has it something to do with the fact I does not have any wired Sonos device connected yet at second house? How should I proceed?
Hey AllJust installed my new Era 300 in my lounge and it sounds fab. Odd thing though is since doing that, my Roams won’t play Bluetooth content - as in I don’t hear anything through them. They pair ok with my phone and have the blue light (have tried all 3 individually, not all at once!).They play wifi content fine and I have re-booted them, and my phone. I even signed out of the app and back in again.Diagnostic 1397953160 raised.Any ideas? And just now paired the Era 300 to the phone and BT content plays fine out of it. Still no sound if I try a Roam though - that makes no sense! Also just tried the Move and that is also fine. Just the 3 Roams???Moderator edit: combined posts
My Sonos Roam and Move are inside house and neither are playing on Apple Music but Roam is playing on Bluetooth.
With the new IOS upgrade to Ventura I have had several synchronization problems. One of these is the SONOS ROAM I already forgot the SONOS ROAM on the MacBook, I turned the bluetooth off and on, I did a restart of the MacBook Pro and the SONOS ROAM, I do the new pairing and apparently they are connected but the SONOS ROAM does not play.
I have Spectrum and Eero mesh. I have rebooted Move, reinstalled Move, reinstalled Sonos app. I am at my wits end with no Move showing in my app.
I dropped my Sonos in playdough
Hi there,I currently have 2 x bluetooth speakers that I use outside (Ultimate Ears Boom 3) which I can connect together and use them as a pair.I have a Sonos system indoors, but want a speaker that I can integrate with the existing Sonos system indoors, instead of using the 2 bluetooth speakers above. Just for context, we have in the lounge:- Sonos Beam gen 1, 2 x Play ones and in the kitchen 2 x Play ones. So can I integrate either the Roam or the Move onto the main system, so say, the Kitchen and Roam/Move playing the same music in the garden? Or have I misunderstood? Is this a good idea to replace these 2 speakers with the Roam, I was looking at the voice activated one for the £20 extra. I’m not sure I would use the voice activation bit, I as I just tinker with my phone to change the music anyway, as often Alexa doesn’t play what I want.Or would the Move better - it would just be used in the house or garden, so not for travel. What is the sound quality like?Sorry for all the que
Hi—we have a Sonos Move that is about 2+ years old. We had it connected to wifi at our old location. We recently moved to a new house in a remote location, with a different wifi network. When we moved, we just unplugged the Move and brought it with us. I’d like to connect it to our new network. I’ve tried using the Sonos app (S2) to connect the Move to the new network, and have followed the instructions, but no luck. On the Sonos app, my account, system, and services are all greyed out. I’ve checked and my iPad has an up to date, compatible OS. Is there a way to fix this without having to call customer service? I’ve seen reference to trying a wired Ethernet connection, but that is not accessible to us here. Please be kind and clear…I’m an older person and not by any means a techie! 😊. Thanks for any help.
Hello to all. My SonosRoam can't find unpnp or smb shares. This happened after changing the ac router to ax. But my denon ceol finds unpnp and nvidia shield tv finds unpnp/smb. Sonos connects to the router and the ssd connected to it, but it says that there are no media shares... Since my denon and nvidia find all shares, I don't want such advice that: you need to disconnect ax or something similar. If my old devices work with the new router, then I think that the problems are not in it. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
Problem Solved
Hello,I’ve had my Roam for about a year and it had been working well without issues. In the past couple of weeks it started to cut out whilst playing, and I had to press the back button to get it going again. As of this morning it appears to have completely reset itself, green light is flashing and the app saying I need to connect it to the Roam.I’m logged in on the app, but it cant find the device, saying Sonos not found, make sure I’m on the same WiFi etc which I am.Not really sure where to go from here. If it isn’t connected, then how does it know I’m not on the same WiFi? Doesn’t make much sense to me! I’ve gotten one step further, the app can see the Roam and prompts me to click to add the Roam to my system which I’ve done. It then says ‘Getting Roam ready’ but after about 30 seconds I still get the same message that it can’t find any Sonos products. Moderator edit - combined posts so topic is still “in need of reply”
Yesterday I discovered that somehow a tool on my workbench had partially cut through the wire attached to my Sonos Roam wireless charger base unit. The wire was connected but cut partially and appeared that the conductors were not reached, looks like it should work still but seems not to.So I have to ask, why does a purportedly high tech innovative company resort to trapping customers just to make a paltry few tens of bucks? The base unit could have had a detachable wire, perhaps a simple jack plug or other form of USB connector, but no: Reinventing home audioThe wire is fixed, cannot be removed and so cannot be replaced, leaving the only option as buying a new base unit and paying 50+ dollars. This is a commercial decision, plain and simple and if Sonos cared about the customer experience or their reputation as a designer, “reinventing home audio” as they like to claim, they’d have done this, made it easy to replace a simple piece of wire.So why not stop running with the herd? why not
Hello, i just got two sonos move and i can't seem to connect both together, I'll have to switch off the first one before the second one can work or put it in Bluetooth mode. I have tried resetting it multiple times but i still end of with the same issue, if i do not switch off or change the mode of the first one, the other won't connect and show on the sonos app.
My current setup has a BEAM gen 2 up and running easily on the wifi network for my TV. I bought Sonos Roam SL as a speaker to connect to my computer a bluetooth device. I have tried this numerous times:Factor reset (power + play) wait for green blinking Sonos app (iOS) go to system and add device. Device shows up, connects to my wifi (takes a few minutes) Shutdown (5 second press) and startup Shows in my Sonos app -- as unregistered. Click to register, asks for my account + passwordAt this point, it NEVER works. Says something went wrong please try later. Wow, that’s as useless an error message as you can get! My online profile shows my Roam SL registered, so it got to your website. I figured, ok don’t care if it doesn’t work over wifi, I need bluetooth anyway:The instructions say press-hold power button to get pairing tone and blue light… NEVER happens…I’ve seen conversations about getting the firmware updated.. how can I accomplish that? The sonos app doesn’t see it registered and
I’d love to say that MOVE is awesome and sounds great, but I can’t even get pass go to say this..it just will not connect...my app picks it up and sometimes goes to install and the app just drops out, or does connect, but can’t register...or wants to use some internal Move wifi, which is really strange. I was so excited to receive my MOVE, but now ready to accept I’ve been scammed and drop it in the bin. Surely after 2years of release, MOVE should just join the SONOS system I have seamlessly..but it doesn’t.Every other SONOS product I have bought, which are much older than this MOVE I got yesterday, did connect no probs….SONOS why is this so? I’ve never had many issues with SONOS, especially since moving to Fibre to the Premises broadband with 100+ mbps download and super stable network.Preferably I just want my $s back and I’ll go buy something that works, like every other product found on the market for bluetooth style speakers, and save myself stressing and seaching/reading forums t
I have two Move speakers that I pair and use in stereo; can I add a subwoofer and pair with them?
Cdt,Laurent Placide
Brand-new ERA 300 won’t run Trueplay and regular playback does a quick fadeout to zero volume (although appears to continue playing the track).wondering why I fronted the money for something really fancy with very few controls, quite cryptic, in order to manage the clientele adjusting complex web-based audio, which is all great, except the product doesn’t work. The chat bot was ridiculously unhelpful. No, I don’t want to buy more Sonos products at this time, but, thank you, as always.Any ideas, thoughts, or prayers? Thanks.
