sonos roam incompatible with other sonos products

I’m beyond frustrated with Sonos. High quality, expensive hardware with some of the worst software.
Bought a new Sonos Roam, took hours to set up, had to download the new app. Now the rest of the system doesn’t work.

has to set up two networks. Sonos 5 now will not even power up and roam can’t be grouped. So I have an expensive mobile speaker that only works off broadband, must have internet and doesn’t group with my other products! 🤬

which clown came up with this corporate strategy. Next job marketing manager for Budweiser.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “Sonos 5 now will not even power up”. Are you saying that there are no status lights almost immediately after you connect the unit to a power outlet?

Hi @Sailingin

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Your S1 system and your S2 system (your Roam) are able to co-exist on one network. I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.
