Home Theater

I can’t get my Sonos system to connect to my WiFi. After 4 days of trying I finally took the security off and it connects. But nothing else in my smart house works. I can’t have an open internet. What do I do? I use wpa personal auto.

Can anyone share how long is the power cord that comes with the ARC ?

When I play YouTube on my TV through my beam and sonos amp, my ceiling speakers the music goes out of sync. To be clear the ceiling speakers are hard wired into the Amp and the amp is linked to the Beam (and Sony TV) I've played around with the app to no avail.  The Amp appears to run the sound slightly ahead of the Beam, and it sounds terrible! What can I do to fix this ? Thanks Ollie

Hi guysI would like to know how I can connect my denon avr-x2200w to my sonos arc, the structure is as follows: I have an Apple tv connected to denon, but I would like the audio to come out through the sonos arc, is it possible?

Hi,My new Sonos ARC is connected to HDMI ARC TV input. When Switching from music to TV I get the following message:Connection Issue We’ve detected an issue with your HDMI connection. We’ll help you fix it.After selecting Fix it I get the following message:A device is interfering with the HDMI connection. Disconnect any other home theater products, the try again.Only after I disconnect the cable box, running the Fix it works (until the same thing happens again)

Hi there, My arc is attached to a Sony A8H tv using eARC. By a process of elimination I am down to precisely two HDMI ports in use on the TV: port 1 - the TiVo, port 2 (eARC on this model) has the Sonos arc on it. Every evening when I finally get to turn the tv on there’s no sound. If I unplug the hdmi and reseat it, still no sound.Note: If I switch to toslink instead -- I get sound but then I can’t coerce my remote to control volume which is just a peach of an experience. If I ultimately unplug the arc to hard reboot it… there’s sound! I’ve taken a diagnostic 1571833039, but it was after rebooting, that may have cropped logs, not sure. If it did please let me know and I’ll take another one -- I assume as soon as tomorrow I’ll have a repro so it’s easy for me to add diagnostics (one per day!). What should I try? Is this product just a lemon? Pratik

What is the minimum inherent A/V delay when using the Sonos Arc with a Sonos Sub and One SLs for surround?  Assume that the eARC signal from the TV has zero A/V delay between the displayed video and when the eARC signal emerges from the TV. Thanks,Adam

Hi, I’ve seen some Arc posts here but i’m not entirely sure I have the same issue. I’ve tried two dozen handle fulls of HDMI cables. Just about every setting I can change on my TV and still have this issue.  I’ll be watching TV (direct TV) or playing PS4 and my picture and audio will both cut out. It can go an entire day and not have an issue or it can go just a few minutes. The cut out varies between 15 seconds to a minute. The frequency can go from every minute to every 30 minutes. I can’t change my HDMI input as my Vizio just tells me to plug the audio output back to the HDMI-ARC input  Suggestions!?!?!?!?! This is driving me nuts when I waited along time and spend alot of money on this. LOVE the sound it puts out but I need HELP

Hi,I’m trying to figure out how to get the most out of my Beam + 2 Play:1s surround system for TV and streaming services. My Sonos system above is complemented with an Xbox One, Chromecast (2nd generation), a Winegard FL5500A FlatWave Amped antenna, and an older LG LS4500 TV. The Beam is connected via the digital audio output.I’ve been noticing that I only get PCM Stereo 2.0 no matter the game or app I’m using through the Xbox or Chromecast, but I get Dolby Digital 5.1 from the antenna. I’m assuming Dolby Digital 5.1 is desirable over PCM Stereo 2.0 (although I am hearing sounds in the rear speakers even when the app shows that it’s receiving a stereo feed). My question is this. Is the stereo signal a limitation in my TV’s older HDMI inputs? Do I need to upgrade my TV or my input devices (maybe to a new Google Chromecast with Android TV) to get more a more consistent and reliable surround signal passed on to my Beam? Or is this the best that the Beam + 2 Play:1s can do?Thanks!

I’ve got a Philips 55PUS6703/12 tv and I’ve just taken receipt of a Sonos Beam.  On my Philips TV I set the sound output to ‘Multichannel’ which resulted in my sound output on my aerial channels being Dolby 2.0, which was all good.  But upon using Netflix (TV app), Amazon (TV app) or Disney (cast from iphone) I am getting no sound whatsoever.  On Netflix the sound is showing as Dolby 5.1 (English), I have to change it ‘Dolby 5.1’ and it then works. Output showing on the Sonos App is ‘Dolby 5.1’. This is a bit of a pain if I have to do this every time.  On Prime I have no ability to change the sound. So in order to get sound I have to change the TV sound setting from ‘Multi channel’ to ‘Stereo’.  This is a complete pain and I’m wondering if the Beam is even compatible with my TV. I don’t want to have to change sound settings depending on what I’m watching.  At the moment I’ve set the TV sound option to ‘Stereo’ so everything is working. But I’m now missing out on Dolby 2.0/5.1.  Any hel

I have TV Samsung LE32R81W without HDMI ARC, Optical and Sonos Beam.I connect TV RCA cables + adapter: RCA In Optical Out + Sonos Optical Audio Adapter + HDMI to Sonos Beam.Application connect to TV but sound doesnt work.Diagnostic code: 777194228 What should I do?

Hi All,I recently purchased a sonos beam shadow edition  from ebay in brand new condition. I set it up the other day and the sound quality was very underwhelming. Then with hope, I added a sub gen 3 to the setup and something weird happened. I saw that although the sub was added there was no output. Then I played with the sub on/off toggle switch and there was weak output from the sub with the toggle switch off and no output from sub when the toggle switch is on position. I can easily compare the sub output and normal on/off position with a sonos arc I currently  have.Does anybody have any idea/recommendation or a similar incident. I would appreciate any helpThanks and Regards

Arc not connecting to wifi or ethernet. Signed in multiple times and system will still not update. This is right out of the box after weeks of waiting for delivery so very disappointing. I have reset, unplugged, and turned off my breakers but still the same error 1101 after several resets of arc, modem and router. Might have a lemon but if anyone has suggestions please feel free to share.

Hi guys, first post here.I have ordered the Arc and just got the shipment notification, very excited about it. I plan to wall mount  using the Sonos wall mount and will use it together with a LG CX, which I will also mount on the wall when the Arc arrives.I would like to hide all cables, for the TV and Arc, in-wall. Do you have any recommandations for best suitable product/s to get for that? For the Arc it would have to fit/work together with the Sonos wall mount and (preferably) be invisible/hidden behind the Arc. Also I live in Sweden so it would have to be suitable for use here (and with European 2-pin electrical plug type, if applicable)If you guys have any recommendations for what I should get for this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I got an Arc for the TV and two Fives one to each side of the Arc. I use the Fives for music and the Arc for TV but I have now added the two Fives as surround to the Arc and Trueplay the lot. The question: is it ok to have the two Fives as surround to the Arc but placed to each side of the Arc? not really surround as they seat at the same level as the Arc but would that affect the sound quality of music or the TV?thanks J

Hello!I have the following problem:I want my ARC (with SUB and 2x One SL) to play Multichannel PCM in games over my PC (RTX3080).I have my PC plugged into my TV (LGC9) over HDMI 2.1 and I cant get my Sonos Setup to play 5.1 / 7.1 (only stereo).I tried every possible setting on my TV and I know that it should be Passthrough with Bitstream selected.  What am I doing wrong? Can someone please help me?  Kind regards Some pics of my settings:

Hello,  I recently purchased the ARC and after some thought decided to purchase the GEN 3 Subwoofer from Bestbuy.  Was excited to try it out but after one hour it stopped working.  Could not keep it connected.  Did all the trouble shooting, followed all the directions but no connection.  Spent over an hour with SONOS tech support but never solved the issue and upon his recommendation, it was returned.Without the subwoofer I find the system a little underwhelming and am considering returning the ARC and looking at Samsung or Sony instead.  With the cost of this system I should not be having this problem.  Makes me wonder what will it be like when the warranty is expired. My question, particularly for those that have gone through similar issue, should I try again with another sub or should I just return while I can and try a different sound bar.  It has been very frustrating to spend that kind of money and then spend virtually hours trying to sort out. Your feedback would be appreciated.

Hi! After the 12.2.2 update, my arc is gone from my app. I can see my Sub, but not the arc. I cannot configure either of them, and I cannot get the arc to use the wired connection instead of the wireless. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I just received my sonos beam and for 3 days it worked perfectly fine today it no longer is playing the TV sound it only plays music from the sonos app. Why is it no longer connecting and what are my options on a return?

I have been having trouble with my Sonos Arc. I just received it in the last few weeks and the audio cutting out is driving me crazy. Sound Cutting in and out:The issue I have been having with my Sonos Arc is where the sound cuts out for about ¼ to 1/2 a second and comes right back. I can watching flawlessly for an hour and it not happen, and then it happens every 5 to 10 seconds.  Setup:TV: LG UN8500, pass through turned on, if I change this to PCM or auto, instead of cut outs, I hear a kind of staticky weird slight garble?SYSTEM: Sonos Arc paired with two rear Sonos Play One SL, for surround sound speakers, and Sonos sub gen 3STREAMING DEVICE: Nvidia Shield Pro (2019) My issue: I have been experiencing the sound cutting in and out on my Sonos Arc during playback. I am using 8k hdmi cables. I mainly watch with Plex, but also happening in Netflix.  I went ahead and submitted diagnostics a few minutes ago, 159989773, just in case it’s useful.

Suddenly my Beam is very unstable and keeps disappearing from the app, and is not available through Spotify connect or Airplay when it happens. No changes has been done to the network.I have performed a factory reset. It did not help.I’ve seen other people having the same problem and just post the diagnostics ID here, so I’ll just do the same: 1041793801

Hey SonosI have an Sonos ARC SL and I use it as a sound bar for my TV and also stream music from my phone. While the ARC works fine with TV, it constantly cannot connect to my phone. I keep getting this message on my phone. “Unable to connect to SONOS”. No matter what I do, I keep getting this.I play a lot of music and this is annoying me a lot. Can you plz provide a fix for this? I have already submitted the diagnostics. Here is the confirmation number: 1484343487.

New Sonos Arc continues to get stuck in set up with “Audio System not connected message” after repeated attempts with our Sony Bravia BR-65X900E (circa 2016/2017, Arc but no eArc).Have disconnected all cables, rebooted the Arc, deleted and reinstalled the Sonos 2 app, started from scratch 3 times now - so so frustrating.Do I need to go spend another $200 on the HD Fury Arcana thing that’s on backorder?TV was working fine with an older Samsung soundbar - the Arc was supposed to be an upgrade, not an installation hassle/nightmare.Thanks for any guidance. Do these things just not work with Sony tvs?

Hi,I have an LG OLED 65 "and Sonos Arc soundboard. These will be wall mounted. How high on the wall should the TV be placed? And how far below should the soundboard be placed? I will use Sonos’ wall mount for Arc.The TV sofa is placed 2.5 m2 from the wall. The room is approx. 20 m2.Thank you in advance for your help.Regards

I have two Play 5 v2 in a stereo pair, a Sub that works with them and a Playbar that supports the TV audio.  My overall listening space is about 12” x 18”.  However the room is L-shaped with a hallway opening not he right side that is about 6” x 12”.  Currently I have my Sub positioned in the “closed corner” on the left side of the room.  Do you think this is the best position for the Sub or would you put it on the opposite, “opened” end of the floor near the 6” x 12” opening?  Why would you make a particular choice?
