You can only add two surround speakers to a Sonos home theater setup. I would use the Era 300s as surrounds with the Arc and use the One SLs...

Sub pulsing at low frequency

I play a 40hz pure sine wave through my sub at night to mask low frequency noise from outside. The volume of the sub is on the lowest setting. This has been good but recently it has started to 'pulse' rather than deliver a consistent tone which defeats the purpose of playing it. I removed and reinstalled the sub which seemed to help but even doing that isn't working now. Would anyone know how I can stop this pulsing or why it's happening?

Bass sounds deeper with Sub Gen 3 turned off in app

I have the Arc, two Ones for surround and the Sub Gen 3 hooked up to eARC on my Toshiba E9 OLED (surrounds and sub are wireless).Arc is mounted below the tv.  Ones are behind the sectional.  The sub is against the wall to the right of the ARC.  The TV is in the corner. The app sees all the speakers.  When I turn the sub off in the app the bass sounds noticeably louder.  I’m concerned that the Sub has not connected correctly.

Gen3 Sub (A202) low hum and tick noise

Hello!  I’m hoping someone on the forums here can help me determine if what I’m experiencing with my new sub is within the parameters of being normal or if I have an issue that I need to escalate to Sonos support. I got my sub on 2/12/2022 and immediately noticed a very low/faint hum and when I was down next to it tucking some desk wires into my tray, I heard a light tick, tick, tick, tick noise.  I have provided a video where I stick my phone right up to the hole and you can clearly hear both the hum and the tick.  Here are the specifics about the environment and t-shooting steps I’ve taken: -- Sub is paired with two play:1’s in a stereo pair in my office.  Will be generally used in conjunction with a Port and a CD player with occasional streaming via Amazon/Spotify/Pandora but mostly CDs via Port. -- Windows app and iOS app being used to control (mostly Windows app in office)-- I get the same thing if I carry the sub downstairs and pair it with my new Five in the living room or leave

TV Audio Dropping : Beam from Hisense U7G

Every few minutes the audio cuts out.  I’m streaming using various apps built into the Hisense TV.  Seems to happen consistently no matter the app.  Connected via HDMI using the eArc port on the TV.  I ran the submit diagnostics thing.  Confirmation number 1907441099 but the last audio drop was probably 20 mins ago.  I can do again closer to the drop if needed.  Hopefully can get some help.  Thanks.

Sonos Beam (gen2) Dolby Atmos not working LG G1

Hello, I just got a Sonos beam gen 2, but after connecting it to the hdmi arc input on the tv and setting the sound bar up with the app, I cannot get Dolby atmos to work.. when I go into advanced audio settings on the LG G1 Dolby atmos and greyed out and I can’t select it?

white noise

I have a Sonos arc for my tv and a Sonos 5 and a Sonos 1 at my disposal. Can I link both of them up to get surround sound or do I need two of the same type of speakers? (e.g. buying another Sonos 1?).thanks!

Sonos Play combos

Hi all! I’m getting a deal on my first sets of Sonos speakers, and I wanted to seek some guidance on how I should set them up! The speakers are:3x Sonos Play 3 1x Sonos Play 5The above is being as a bundle for $600 (I think that’s a deal?). Prior to coming across this offer, I was looking into getting a Sonos Beam + 2x Sonos One for watching movies in the living room (or master bedroom). Though, I’m most likely still getting a Beam.Quick background: I currently have a dozen or so Alexa speakers setup throughout the home for playing Spotify music. They’re all a part of a multi-room speaker group. So if I pick up this deal + a Sonos Beam... is the best way to make use of these speakers is to put them in a 5.0 setup (Beam + 2x Play 3)? I’m not sure what else I can do with the remaining Sonos speakers other than plug them into some of my lower-end Alexa devices via aux. What do you think?

Using an arc and Sonos 1 speakers for surround. Wanting to have full stereo throughout the system instead of surround. Want to rears to have the same thing as the arc coming out. Is this possible in any way.

Dolby Atmos with Arc, HDFury Arcana & Oppo UDP-203

Here is my issue: I am unable to get Dolby Atmos to display in the Sonos app when playing a movie. Here is my setup: Samsung UN55JS8500 UHD TV, Oppo UDP-203, HDFury Arcana & Arc. I have the HDMI ARC Input of the TV going into the HDMI Output of the Arcana. I have the eARC Output of the Arcana plugged into the Arc. The Oppo is plugged into the HDMI Input of the Arcana. When I play a movie that should have a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, my Sonos app displays Dolby Digital 5.1. The movie is being played from a backup of the actual UHD Blu-ray via my Synology DS920+. Any ideas on what the issue might be?

Playbase stopped connecting to Sub and Surrounds

Hi please help I have so much Sonos.The playbase is not connecting to the sub and surrounds anymore.I have reset and reconnected everything but it still wont play any sound from the surrounds or sub. The app shows them as being connected but they dont play or finish the setup procedure. I have my Playbase connected via ethernet.I have submitted a diagnostic report the number is 1600044871What should I do?Kind regardsRichie

phillips 58pus7805 dolby atmos difficulty

Hi,Recently purchased a beam gen 2, have tried everything I can google/YouTube to get Dolby atmos set up and working, phillips 58pus7805 ambilight - says it’s atmos compatible - purchased in 2021 HDMI lead provided connected to hdmi arc connection (all 3 on tv are arc - tried all 3) Netflix subscription is right, and I’ve tried recommend known atmos films etc,I cannot find anything in the tv settings which I’ve missed?   Please help! 😂

Beam only Stereo PCM 2.0?

New Beam Gen 2 and Sub Gen 3 owner -- my first Sonos speakers.My Apple TV 4K is connected to my Samsung 6100 TV via HDMI. The Beam is connected from the TV via the dedicated ARC HDMI port. HDMI-CEC protocol (Anynet+) is turned on.I’ve confirmed through the Sonos app that when watching TV I seem to only get Stereo PCM 2.0 output, when I believe I should be getting some kind of virtualized surround output. Am I missing something? Or misunderstanding?

Combining ARC/Sonance Atmos system into multi-room system

Hi, i have an open space floor plan (see pic), and I’m going to use multiple Amps to set up home sound.  In the living space, I’ll have an Arc with 2 rear ceiling Sonos Sonances forming an Atmos system, connecting to a single Amp,  and then I’ll have 2 to 3 pairs of Sonances in the large open area covering the kitchen, dining and living area.  (And I'll have outdoor speakers connected to an Amp; there are two outside decks, where the grids on either side of room are).Question: If I'm not using the Arc and Rear speakers as home theater/TV, can I switch their use/incorporate them into a larger all-over system? If so, then I won’t need an extra pair of Sonance speakers in the living area. I know the Amp can control up to 3 pairs, but they have to play the same sound.If I have the 2 rear speakers on one Sonos Amp, can I also connect two more pairs of Sonances to the same Amp, have the 2 pair shut off when doing Atmos, and then have the option to shift over all 3 pairs  supporting the all-o

is there a redo / reboot for ARC setup?can I start all over since I screwed up on the original setup process and created an extra room I did not mean to?can you delete the ARC from your system and try to set it up all over again as a brand new ARC to be added to your system?Thank you

Chromecast and Arc

I have seen lots of discussion about similar issues, but I haven’t seen my particular issue.  I have my Sonos Arc connected to the HDMI eArc input on my Bravia TV.  The Chromecast with Google TV is connected to the MHL HDMI input.  If for example I watch Netflix through the App on the Bravia, I get full Dolby sound.  But if I watch the same Netflix program through Chromecast, I can only get Stereo PCM sound.  I have fiddled with every sound setting I can think of on both the Bravia and the Chromecast, but I can’t improve the sound.  Any suggestions? Thanks,Mike

Sonos Arc static noise

Hi all,I’ve had the Arc since Christmas and added the sub a couple of weeks ago. It’s been brilliant and is a huge improvement on my last soundbar.However, it has started randomly making a weird noise, which I can only describe as a static sound,  It was quite bad a couple of days ago while watching BBC News when the news reader was speaking. It happened again when I put Sky Sports on and the pundits were talking at half time.Also, when I’m in the Home menu on the TV (Sony A80J) it does it when I’m navigating around the screen, but only if I leave the cursor for a while then move it. It’s the same on the internal apps.These noises went away by simply turning the TV over then switching back but I shouldn’t need to do this.It is rather annoying. Is there something wrong with my Arc?I disconnected the Arc to see if it was the TV but it’s not, it only happens when the Arc is connected.I have tried unplugging everything from the mains and disconnecting all of the HDMI cables and power cable

Help! Can't connect surrounds or gen3 sub to arc!?

Hi all, I can’t seem to connect to Sonos oneSL or Gen3 to my arc. They connect to each other and they work fine.Have tried reboot/factory resetting all products and have tried to use the arc as a wired connection but nothing seems to work. After trying to connect the surrounds or sub, the app forgets it and I’m not able to find them again without factory resetting them! Can’t access the router as it is part of the building network, which I wonder could be the issue although everything was on channel one when I checked. Have tried advice on other threads but nothing seems to work :(Diagnostic report is 876153472Any help would be much appreciated! BwHk

No sound from ONE SL when trying to add device.

Big problem! The speakers (2) ONE SL have been working for years. For about 6 months ago, Spotify stopped working. “Could not add songs to playlist”. (Webradio and my own library still worked)No network changes have been made. I have blamed the Sonos software (also many users on Google Play). The customer service said no. They have tried to get me through all my network settings. All is ok. I have been in contact with them several times. No Luck. Now, all of a sudden, an update were found on the speakers. Tried to update - failed.Then tried by wire on the right speaker - worked. Tried wired on the left. Nothing. The Sonos app told me that I could not have both wired and wifi at the same time. That issue did not come up on the right one. Then it wanted to connect via bluetooth. Got contact. Nothing. After several tries and no update worked, I reseted it. Now it stops at led blinking white/orange. Never turns green. Restart gets it to start its Sonos wifi. The app connects to it. Now it

Beam 2 Machine Gun Noise

I have read the posts Below relating to the machine gun noise coming from my Sonos beam two. Last night I had a very similar experience I had Which scared the life out of me my wife and cat.The only way I could stop this was to unplug the HDMI and As it would not let me into the Sonos S2 app to control on yetpower cable, As it would not let me into the Sonos S2 app to control or mute. Ccan the Sonos community or Sonos them selves please indicate what can be done to resolve this issue, I have had many issues since starting to use my beam two, correction failures Wi-Fi and compatibility changing Wi-Fi channels we are all tried to make the pairing of my new Sonos possible. The final result was me returning returning the first beam to back to the hi-fi retailer, where even the could not get the initial unit pair up for update.

Sonos arc no sound

I have just bought the Sonos arc and connected it all up following the instructions. LG OLED 65 connected with HDMI ARC input from SONOS ARC. There are 2 other HDMI cables, one for a Skybox and one for VIRGIN 360 BOX. Whenever I turn off the TV and turn back on again the SONOS does not play sound from the TV and its own installed apps even if the VIRGINBOX 360 has not been turned on. I open the App and tells me another Theatre product connected is in conflict. The only way I get sound back is to disconnect the HDMI 4K cable connected to my VIRGINBOX 360 from the TV. This is maddening and cant find any guidance on how to solve this. Does anyone have a clue what Im doing wrong?

One SL: Knocking/tapping noise

Hi everybody,I have audio issues with all the One SL speakers I recently got. When streaming, I randomly get “knocking”/”tapping” noises.​​​​​​ Imagine you’re in a Zoom call and somebody taps their finger onto the microphone. Those sounds appear at the current volume. It happens mostly when streaming Spotify (no matter if via Sonos app or Spotify).This occurs on all three Sonos speakers that I bought, all just before Christmas.current-volume tapping noise mostly on Spotify, sometimes on AirPlayIt does not sound like connection issues or buffering. Playback is seamless. Just a loud Support suggested to try connecting via ethernet, but that doesn’t help. I could not replicate it on Sonos Radio, but I don’t generally use that for streaming, so it might still happen there.Would be great if anyone can help here. I do have the stuff on camera, but wasn’t sure that your guidelines on audio samples are. Does anyone else have these issues?

Arc Went “POP” and Went Quiet

Last night, while watching a movie on Netflix, we heard a loud “POP”!  At first we thought it came from the fireplace, but we quickly realized that nothing was coming from the Arc center channel. The Sub and rear speakers were performing as expected, but the Arc was dead silent. The app did not indicate any issues with the setup and the Arc indicator lights were working. I even tried to activate the voice assistant. Alexa appeared to be responding, but silently, with sounds coming from the Arc.  I feared the worse, but after unplugging the Arc from the power source, and plugging it back in, things went back to functioning normally. I am just curious if anyone else had experienced this. Should I be worried? Arc + Sub + SL+ SR

Sonos system "pop" on unpausing Atmos?

Hi,I recently finished setting up my full Sonos system (Arc+Sub+2xOne SL), and am loving it! However, I have an issue that when I pause TrueHD Atmos content for more than about 5 seconds (i.e. until the Atmos badge disappears in the S2 app), then resume there’s a metallic pop/static in the system before the sound starts again (this happens on the Arc and the surrounds, so not a single speaker issue). It doesn’t happen with other audio codecs (e.g. DTS, DD+). If I turn the volume down before unpausing, I don’t hear this, so it’s definitely speaker noise, and not some electrical noise in the system.Does anyone else have this issue and any suggestions on how to sort it?Thanks in advance!
