Other than pulling the plug, is there a way to power down the Sonos Ray.

No. Sonos devices don’t have power switches, other than the Roam and Move, both of which have batteries. Sonos devices do go into a low power state after they stop playing. If memory serves, it’s 10 minutes, but someone may well correct me.
