I have an Arc that I am playing with a Sonos sub and would like to add a single Era 100 as a rear channel as I don’t have room for two. Will it pair? I realize that having a single rear will not give me true DOLBY atmos but I don’t have room for two rear speaking. Will the system allow me to pair a singLe rear?

No. There has to be a left AND a right rear to set up as surround effects speakers.

In Sonos speak combining speakers to form a surround “room” is called bonding. Pairing is combining speakers as a stereo pair.

To your question: other manufacturers would alos not alow this. Rear speakers always go in pairs.
