What TV ‘model number’ is it and what audio out connections does it have? Do you have a link to it’s online user manual?

Hi

Although strange there’s no optical port...then it must be a very old TV.  Does it not have just a HDMI port (it doesn’t have to support Arc). If so there’s a work-around of sorts to enjoy the full potential of the Beam gen2.

If your TV has an HDMI port you can purchase the Arcana by HDFury @ $249 (USD). Here’s the link that shows the connection process (Select “Getting Started” )

The Arcana would be a way to get Atmos. If you’re just looking for 5.1 Dolby Digital, most regular HDMI switches have an optical out, which you could connect to the adapter from Sonos, which would plug in to your Beam.

The cost difference between the HDFury Arcana and a standard, run of the mill switch with an optical output is hundreds of dollars. ;)
