Wanting to get best sound by placing 7.1.4 at ideal position. Ceiling height 11feet. CURRENT SONOS PLACEMENT 

Hi,I dont usually write in any forum however I was very compelled to state that ever since updating to 15.5 - my sonos arc and gen3 sub has never sounded as good as it does now.Its just superb, for a very long time I kept questioning to myself if the £900 arc and the £700 Sub was worth the cost for lets face it .. meh sound… however the 15.5 update has truly opened up the potential of the system (more so regarding the gen3 sub)>If there is any improvement on top of this (which is me being picky) is that the treble side of things on the arc can do with more clarity and more presence but thats it… I would love oif Sonos keeps the sound profile of the 15.5 update but tweaks it here and there as needed just dont revert it PLEASE! 15.5 Update has even had comments from the family - wow it sounds so much better what did you do .. erm updated it….:-D

I have the original soundbar and it has the sub plugged into it. Was working fine LONG after upgrading a ton of stuff to S2. Suddenly no sound on the TV, no sub at all, and the horrible software is telling me the device is incompatible and gives me an upgrade link that goes to the website to buy a replacement. Yet the website says the device is compatible with S2.

I want to to connect my Sonos on my tv and have only this sound (not my tv sound )i want to control the sound with my Apple TV remote ( i can put in temporary audio out but not in default…i need to do every time i open my tv go to setting go to temporary unclick to tv sound and click to Sonos !!! pls anyone can help me ??? I have an Arc, sub and Era 300s for rears. Arc is connected via eArc to an LG G3 TV.I’m using the Dolby Labs Functional Testing album on Apple Music on an Apple TV 4K. When I play the 7.1 track, everything sounds great. Surround and rear surround channels are very distinct, and the rear surround channels are as loud as the surround channels. Surrounds play from the outside speakers, and rear surrounds from the inside speakers. Great! However, when I play the Atmos tracks, it’s a different story. Surrounds and rear surrounds sound identical, and both come from the outside speakers. It seems as though all I can hear the the inside speaker is probably some reverberation. Is this a bug, by design, or something wrong with my system? The Sonos app correctly shows 7.1 pcm or Dolby Atmos, as appropriate.As an aside, the Arc was originally connected via Arc to an older Sony TV (so no Atmos support). As title says can you have the era 300’s working as rears for the amp and if so do you get some degree of spatial audio?

Hello,The back left side of my sonos arc is heating up (if I look at it from the front, it's the left side). The heating is not so strong that I have to catch my hand when I touch it, but it's still quite noticeable. Is this a natural phenomenon for a sonos arc or should I not notice any noticeable heating and there is something wrong with the device?(The casing of the device heats up even during normal and quiet use, the temperature in the apartment is 24 degrees Celsius.)

Hello!  So I'm having issues with sound lately. Seems like anytime I'm watching a movie the sound is not balanced. When I play YouTube/Spotify sound seems to work fine, but movie apps Netflix/Prime/Vudu/HBO Max require me to blast the volume up and the speech is so damn quiet.   Currently watching Indiana Jones on VUDU and the talking is incredibly quiet while the action/music is insanely loud.  Sony Bravia 65"  TV Sound settings have been disabled and routed to just sound bar settings.  In the Sonos app I have applied the speech enhancement and night time modes on/off and tried changing treble/bass to adjust and I can't get anything to balance out. Also lately I have to turn my TV volume up to 70/80 before I can hear clearly and before it was around 15-20 and we could hear perfectly.  Running on HDMI eARC into television.  Feels like I have to just reset everything, but haven't found a clear guide or suggestion that.  Thank you for your assistance! 

Title. Just wondering if adding two more 100’s or 300’s would make any difference or just a waste of money. And before anyone asks I do plan on adding a 2nd sub to complete my movie theatre 

I added two One SL for surround speaker and one beam gen2 in room as a group. When I play YouTube on TV which is LG C2, the surround speaker has no sound, how can I set them play together? 

I have an Arc as front TV speakers and I use an Amp with 2 passive speakers as satellites. I would also like to be able to use the Amp independently to listen to music when I am not watching TV.However the Amp disappears from the list of available speakers as soon as I add it as a satellite to the Arc. I then have to manually remove the Amp from the Arc to be able to use is independently again.Autoplay ungroup is turned on, but does nothing.Is there a way to have the Amp support both setups (satellites / music) alternatively without having to change the configuration every time?

I'd like a home theatre arrangement and currently own a Beam 2nd Gen, what speakers should I choose from the Sonos stable? Room size approx 4 metres x 10 metres - concrete floor

HelloLast week I received a brand new subwoofer gen3. I noticed though that on the right driver there is an approximately 0.5” excessive glue between the cone and the suspension. Looks like stitches or leakage from the attachment procedure. Is that an imperfection that can compromise the sound quality now or in the future?Thanks 

New issue popping up out of nowhere after many months of seamless play. I have Arc+two Era300+sub mini hooked via eARC to REI switcher which also houses the AppleTV+ epson projector. Formerly, I could play anything on AppleTV with ease and would control volume thru Sonos app and if I felt listening to music (also via Sonos app) I could change to that at any time. Now, music plays fine thru Sonos app but anytime I crank up the projector with AppleTV --it’s silent OR it makes this very quick squeeeek type of noise instead of the clicking while navigating thru app icons on the AppleTV menu. And if I click on any show (Netflix, D+ etc) it’s silent. The only workaround has been airplay and changing “audio output” settings to “temporary audio output” and selecting the Sonos “media room” designation - but that’s via airplay and not thru the Receiver speaker/REI/atmos setup. Any ideas on how to fix this weirdness?   (the only workaround so far is unplugging and re-plugging the REI unit...which

My Play 1s work fine paired together and the sub-mini works paired to them, however once I pair the Beam 2 they stop and sound only comes out of the Beam 2. True-lay doesn’t work because it says speakers cannot be heard. 

I just bought my whole Sonos sound system a few months ago when the era 300s launched! About a month ago the system started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting to my TV in the middle of watching things. The sound will just randomly cut out, the light on my Arc and Sub will turn white, and then 45 seconds later the lights will turn green and it will reconnect. The system is connected via eARC to my TV, and my wifi is not going out. I have tried everything at this point… turned the router on and then off, powered off the arc/sub/my 2 era 300 surrounds to try and recconnect, and changed the HDMI cable. I’m not sure how to fix this issue! 

I installed an ARC with 2 OneSL speakers on my DirecTV satellite system a few years ago with no issues.  I had to replace my internet home gateway and DirecTV set top box just recently due to a bad electrical storm in the area.DirecTV sent a technician out after I replaced the fiber gateway to replace my set top.  The video works fine, buy I cannot properly reconnect my Sonos system after running through the DirecTV remote set up menus.  I’ve made several attempts, and had their technical support on the line during these attempts.The ARC is not listed on DirecTV’s audio set up menu list, and I’ve tried all other choices with no luck.  Any help this forum can offer will be greatly appreciated!

I have a projector in the TV room I currently send audio to a BT speaker via a transmitter directly to the speaker. I have a pair of SONOS play 5's, which do not have BT. Is it possible to send the audio signal through the BT transmitter to the SONOS with a BT receiver or something better? Thanks for the help.

Hi, has anyone else noticed the recent update has reduced the sound from the Era 300s in a surround setup with the Arc? The volume seemes much lower and less oomph to it? I’ve even re-tuned the truplay to no effect. I have to now increased the EQ settings to almost max on the surrounds to get the same output from them as prior to the update?

Hello everyone, I’m desperate, I have no sound at all coming from my Beam 2, the sound is coming from the projector only. Here is my setup:Amazon Firestick 4k Max [The Player] EPSON TW7100 [The Projector] Sonos Beam Gen 2 [The Sound System] Feintech VAX04101 [The HDMI eArc Pass Switch] On the HDMI 1 port of my projector : Amazon Firestick 4k MaxOn the HDMI 2 port of my projector : Feintech VAX04101  On my projector screen, when I put the source HDMI 2, I have pictures from Sonos (see picture 1) On my projector settings, the “Audio Out Device” is on “AV System” and in “Device Connections” we can see “AV System : Sonos Beam : HDMI2” (pictures 2 and 3) On the FeinTech VAX04101, everything seems okay (picture 4), “HDMI OUT (ARC) TO TV” port connected to my projector HDMI 1 port and “1 ARC TO SOUND” port connected to Beam.
