You can only add two surround speakers to a Sonos home theater setup. I would use the Era 300s as surrounds with the Arc and use the One SLs...

Hello, I just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed the lack of any sort of sound from the front section/grill of the Era 300? I appreciate this might be expected but just wanted to check.

What Speakers to pair with Ray?

I just bought a Ray soundbar, the basic for a surround system with my TV. But I want good quality stereo while listening to Spotify and more volume capactiy together with better bass. I am undecided between purchasing two Sonos One speakers, the Era 300 or a subwoofer. does the Era 300 have a good woofer (bass) component/sound? And if I were to buy the sub mini woofer does that add volume capacity as well as better bass? Any other suggestions appreciated.

Grouping Sonos One and Beam

Hi, I currently have a Sonos One but we want to by a Sonos Beam for the TV. I want both of these speakers to play the same music at the same time using amazon music\Alexa. I also want the beam to be a TV speaker on its own for TV use when needed. Is it as simple as just grouping the 2 together in the app? At the moment when I ask an Alexa device (Echo) to play music, the default speaker is the Sonos. With 2 Sonos speakers grouped will this still work in the same way and just play through both beam and Sonos one?Thanks!

I am planning to purchase two era 100 speakers for stereo pairing with my Sonos beam gen 2. Is it possible to add one sonos era 300 speaker to this set up instead of a subwoofer to make it 5.1.2 home theater system.

I have two sonos speakers (Era 100) that I have hooked up for surround on my TV with a Beam (2nd Gen).  Is it possible to use the Eros 100 Pair of speakers to listen to music independent of the soundbar?

Can't set up Ray- no PIN

I am trying to set up a refurbished Ray. I have existing Sonos. The unit is not playing a chime and the PIN and there is no pin code on the back of the unit by the connectors. CS don’t have any further advice. I have done a reset. Please help! thanks.

Sonos Era300 wall mounts

Please could someone kindly help.. regarding the Era300 wall mounts….are they suitable for rear wall position AND side wall positioning? From looking at the photos of them they look like rear wall only, unless of course there’s sufficient ‘swivel’ movement to still leave a 8” gap between the side edge of the speaker and the wall.thank you

DTS HD

I am continually frustrated by the lack of support for DTS HD /MA /X A lot of 4K releases have these audio soundtracks and Not Dolby Atmos and although I have the Sonos Flagship Arc I cannot enjoy these movies at their best because I get a message saying audio not supported which then causes me to choose a lower sounding option can you please provide an update so that I and many other users can enjoy our media at its best kind regards  Roger Stedman

airplay does not see Sonos Beam 2

The ability to connect via AirPlay disappears (iPhone 12 pro). Only works for a while after connecting Beam to Wi-Fi, then disappears. Is it a faulty Wi-Fi setting or a defect in Sonos Beam? Everything works fine in the Sonos app.Sonos Beam 2 bought 3 days ago.

Home Cinema Set Up

I’m looking to create a new home cinema, but the screen will not be against a wall so I can’t use a sound bar. I was thinking to 2 Era 300s as rear speakers, a sub and wonder what people would recommend as front speakers on stands or wall mounted? Also, would I also need an Amp as well? Thanks

wifi connection impossible

3 hours with Sonos support . Tried everything (fixed max address, changed wifi channel , unique 2,4 wifi band, ) nothing works . My Sonos arc that used to connect well does not connect anymore help . Desperate ☺️ nicolas

Hi Sonos, I hope ive got the right place but it's been about a year now I've done the surveys etc and I swear my speaker sets are too old. I play Bluetooth,  I play with line jack cable and also a stereo system. The first two methods are essentially a small pair of C Cell operated Sony 80s speakers designed for a walkman. For me, what is important is the Bluetooth and the line in. Stereo is also important as I grew up on mono and I don't like it. Maybe being spoiled with a B&o is the issue, but I also use cassette, minidisc and cd. The B&o I can record my vinyl to cassette or MD. I used to work in a TV shop and I'm kinda critical of kit be it for me or for the consumer. I was hoping I could beta test a device that I could attach all the devices I use and listen in stereo and in clarity. I have adapted my Sonys to accept Bluetooth by the means of a pcb and regulator - battery. Go buy one, but I have big expectations... Another notable piece of info is I was also a Beta tester fo

No Atmos from Apple Music app only from Sonos app

Hi All, I've updated my Sonos app to latest firmware and updated by ARC and beam gen 2. I can get atmos to play via sonos app but when using Apple Music app atmos does not appear. I only ever use the Apple Music app to stream music to my speakers, bit disappointing this doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

Firestick 4K and Sonos Arc both require an eArc HDMI port, only have 1

Hello,My Arc will be delivered tomorrow. I have a question about connectivity in conjunction with the 4k Firestick. In order for the 4k feature to work the Amazon Firestick must be connected to an Arc/eArc HDMI port. I’ve confirmed this is the case, no 4k on any of the other 4 HDMI ports on my TV (Vizio M75-C1) using the 4k Firestick. My TV has only 1 arc/earc HDMI port.  The SONOS Arc also requires the arc/eArc HDMI port for full functionality. What do I lose if I use the optical-out option? Are there any other connection options.

Distorted bass on Sonos Beam

Bass is distorted at medium volume. Bass on EQ is set at mid point.Have tried with the beam in different physical locations with different inputs. Have connected another Beam I have to the same service/location and it is not distorted.

Apple Music Sonos Arc

Hiim trying to play back Dolby atmos music from Apple Music on my iPhone to my Arc. From Apple Music I play an Atmos song, AirPlay it to the Arc.However when I go into the Sonos app on my phone it just says “AirPlay” where for a movie etc it would show “Atmos”.  Im almost certain I had it saying “Atmos” on Saturday evening from the same set up, but I’d had a bottle of wine so can’t be sure!how do I stream Atmos music to the arc please? thanks

Combination music and movie space

I currently have 2 - 5’s and a sub that I use for listening to music in one room and a separate TV room for watching movies. I plan on combining all into one room as I don’t listen to music and watch movies at the same time. I would like to incorporate the 2 - 5’s, Sub, and possibly a Ray/Beam/Arc with a new TV. When watching movies all systems would be used, when listening to music the Ray/Beam/Arc would be off (the only reason being, I like certain music LOUD and not sure if a soundbar should be in the mix?? Also not sure what soundbar would pair best with the existing 5’s?Or, should I look for a tv with better sound and use it as the soundbar with the 5’s and Sub? My current TV doesn’t have Bluetooth, but I’m assuming I can connect the 5’s and Sub through that if I forego the soundbar for the tv sound?Also I run everything through a Roku Ultra with most music coming through either Spotify on the Roku or a folder off a local NAS drive. Video comes from apps on the Roku...Netflix, Pri

Beam (gen2) and The Frame

I have not a concrete issue, but just a feeling that something didnt go well during inital setup of my first Sonos product. So im happy if someone can just confirm the info below:Hi, I just got the Beam (gen2) for my Samsung The Frame (2021), and Im using eARC. I don’t know if I have set the Beam up correctly or not (the manuals online are a little unspecific imo). So I just want to know if everything is correct: 1: When doing the Universal remote setup, the TV didnt recognize the Beam, so I had to type it in. The “power-test” did not work, but the manual online said to just hit yes. So I did. I guess thats correct, because its “always on”?2: The Beam is working; its receiving sound and I can control the volume with my remote. BUT the text to the left on the TV screen does not say Sonos or Beam, but “Receiver HDMI-eARC”, and there is no number to indicate what level the volume is at. Is that the way its meant to be? I have a feeling that somethings off. But could find anything by searc

TV Remote Won't Work with Sonos Amp and Speakers

Hi,My television in the kitchen is connected to my Sonos amp via HDMI ARC. I have 4 ceiling speakers connected to the amp. We used to be able to control the volume of the TV coming out of the ceiling speakers using the TV remote (TCL 6 Series), as well as with the Sonos app on our phones.  But now, we can only control the volume using the Sonos iphone app. Adjusting the volume through the TV remote only affects the volume on the TV and it doesn’t effect the volume coming out of the 4 ceiling speakers anymore (I.E., the TV remote volume is disconnected from the Sonos Amp).  Does anybody know what could be wrong or have suggestions for help?Thanks,John

I've heard some YouTube reviewer state that you can use just 1 rear Era 300 Centrally for rear surround effects (Atmos) with Beam Gen 2 or Arc. Is this correct

connecting turntable

I’m looking to connect a Lenco LS-300 Black Turntable to my Sonos soundbar, I only have an optical on the soundbar and a L&R on the turntable. Before the trial n error starts to cost me money, can one of you experts out there point me in the right direction please?
