Hello. So I recently got four in ceiling speakers for my den. I didn't quite understand the concept behind surround sound but I do now. Am I correct in saying that to achieve a surround sound experience, I'll need a central speaker and a sub woofer? And if that's the case would any of the sonos soundbars work in conjunction with my in ceiling speakers or would it just end up overriding those? Thank you for your time and I hope people can excuse my surround sound ignorance!

If you want to use all four in-ceiling speakers in a Sonos home theater setup, you need to get two Sonos Amps - one to power the two front speakers and one to power the two rear speakers. You can then add a Sonos subwoofer to complete the 4.1 setup.
If you want to add a center channel speaker, don’t use Sonos and go with a traditional home theater setup that uses a receiver. Then add a subwoofer to complete the 5.1 setup.
