Hi All,I just purchased a pair of ERA 100s that I’ve paired with my Beam Gen 2. When watching TV, about 90% of the sound seems to come from the Beam and the only sound that comes from the ERA 100s are slight background sounds but no voice. Is this normal?Thanks

When era 100s are connected as surrounds do all drivers on Arc fire? What happens to side firing ones? Does Arc + Sub & Rears work as 5.1.2? Assuming Arc does 5 channels (front)?

Hi, I have the Arc connected to the TV / HDMI ARC I do get the Dolby Atmos when watching Disney plus When using the Bluray : a 4K Ultra / the Arc is indicating Stereo PCM The Arc with my TV on regular cable shows Dobly Digital plus when watching TVThe movie is the same on both samplesThe movie on 4K is set to the highest Dobly setting 5.1…… the TV is set to Dolby Digital plus output I have adjusted all possible types of settings on Audio outputs The TV is a Sony XBR-75X900E Does anyone have any possible solutions? 

So Sonos came with the Era series this year and some of  customers were under the impression that the Era 100 being a replacement for the Ones were going to be see an upgrade that included upward firing speakers for rear surround applications.. However this didn’t happen..   Era 300 offers a 7.1 upgrade from traditional 5.1 but was introduced as a stand alone speaker specifically not as dedicated rear theater speakers and is pretty large in size which isn’t always applicable for most standard size rooms to be used as rears. They also come with a hefty price so that brings the question .. 1. Will Sonos design a Atmos rear speaker that allows you to upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1, that is smaller/ corner friendly that is a more affordable option to suit customers that have standard size living spaces?  something similar to the Ones’s or Era 100’s esthetic design with upward firing speakers and 7.1???

How do I get my wireless network to take the SUB with an Arc

Sony TV and Verizon cable box. I have earc HDMI connected to the TV and optical out of the TV to the Sonos Arc. Is there a better way to write this to take advantage of Atmos. I believe with optical I cannot get atmos

why cant the overpriced sub pair up with arc?

I have arc sound bar, sub(gen3), era 300 in the back and Now My question: does it make sense to put  2 era 100 above the screen? I Can only finde description on My setup so far and none of 6.1

Originally, I just had an Arc for the TV and one Era 300 for my record player. I loved this and would play records every day. Well, I finally upgraded and got a Sub Mini and a second Era 300 for the full Atmos surround sound. At the end of the set up, I was notified I would NOT be able to use line in on my first Era 300 (to play records). WHAT?! Why?! What can I do? Any workarounds or advice? Thank you.

Hi all, today I installed the Arc, sub mini and two era 300 speakers as rear speakers. I finish everything and while watching tv and listening to music from the tv, I realized the rear speaker is right centered, meaning it’s more louder than the left one, even when I do a surround test demo on YouTube. Can this be related to true play? Anyone else had this problem?

Buenas tardes a todos.Tengo una barra Bean y recientemente he añadido un One SL con la idea de añadir un segundo más adelante.Tengo la Bean conectada a la TV por HDMI ARC y cuando subo el volumen desde el mando, solo le afecta a Bean y no sube en One SL. ¿ Como puedo solucionar esto sin tener que estar entrando en la aplicación de SONOS continuamente??

I have two architectural Sonos in wall speakers that I will be using for my rear surround sound speakers.Should I mount both speakers on the back wall or one on the back wall/one on right wall?I believe back wall is the preferred but majority of the time we will be sitting in the corner of the couch.See below for the proposed locations. 

After the last Sonos 15.10 update I lost the ability to play Dolby Atmos on Disney + My audio system is:Beam Gen 2 2x Sonos One SL  ( for surrounds )I did a factory reset to all of my units - soundbar and speakers.Nothing changed with my Disney +Nothing changed with my TV settings Moderator edit: changed “Digital” to “Atmos” for accuracy

I have got a Beam and Play:1 in my living room. Have got other Sonos speakers in other room but no speaker with line in. Want to get a turntable and looking into alternatives.Sonos Port have got an autoplay alternative, and if I understand it correctly, should automatically be able to play the turntable sound to a Sonos group when the turntable starts to play.Era 100 has got a line in possibility and is quite cheaper than Port. However, as I already have other speakers in my living room the Era 100 will never be used to play anything. Will it be able to autoplay the music like the Port or it will play on it self and I then need to group it with living room-group?

Hi there, I am thinking of buying a pair of oneSL’s to use as surround sound for my TV. I already have a Beam and wondering if the pair of one SL’s will work with the Beam or connect to the Beam etc to act as surround sound?If anyone else has any help or suggestions if something else works better. Hi Another bizarre, confusing issue with Sonos Arc connectivity to Alexa.Arc stopped responding to voice commands, even though set up correctly, skills enabled in Alexa app etc. I think it’s a conflict between the Arc and my Kindle Fire HD. Ie, the voice command is only heard thru the Kindle, not the Arc. If I disable the skill on the Alexa app on the Kindle, it reiterates that status, disabled etc. (Ie thru the Kindle)If the Kindle is off, no sound thru either Arc or Kindle and no response to voice command.What’s weird:1. This has only occurred in last few days. Kindle has been on and in same room as Arc for months, without this glitch?2. When I checked Alexa app on Kindle, it initially didn’t recognise any devices anyway. Now it does.3. Alexa app was running happily on iPhone alongside Arc. Suggests that it’s only conflicting with the Kindle?4. I’ve noticed the Alexa app lists the Arc (“living room”) and TV (“living room TV”. Is that right? I’ve tried disabling and re enabling but no

Hey all, had a quick look at this topic, but didn't find a super clear answer yet, apologies if I've missed it. All I own is the Sonos Arc, worked great for streaming music, however I've recently upgraded my internet package and with that everything is on 5ghz. Trying to connect the arc to WiFi for streaming I got an error stating it can't connect to 5g only 2.4? Is there no fix for this? Thanks in advance

I’ve been after a soundbar for a long time. Playbar would have been perfect but tech has moved on and with BF there are a few really attractive deals for the Arc.The TV is in a recess area that is 155cm / 61 inches wide, the Arc is 114cm / 45 inches wide. This gives the Arc 20cm / 8 inches either side. Would the side firing speakers reverberate off the side walls detorting the sound? Or is it possible to turn them off completely.please excuse the condition, currently preparing for carpets and skirting etc  

Hello,I'm new to Sonos and surround systems, and I'm planning a 5.1 setup with Arc, Sub gen 3 and two Ikea Symfonisk speakers, either picture frames or lamp stands.Problem is, I have a doorway in the perfect spot for the right surround. Is it better to place the surrounds asymmetrically further apart (1), or closer together, symmetrically (2)?The system will be used for movies and playing music in the entire living room/kitchen. Because of the latter, I was thinking it would be an advantage to put the surround speakers as far into both corners as possible (to “fill” the room), is this correct?Please excuse the crude drawing, but I hope it illustrates my conundrum. I just go a pair of Era 300s.  I have set them up as a Stereo pair room/group.  I then added them as grouped fronts to my Beam2, Ikea rears and Sub2, set up for TV.  When is listen to Movies and Music from my Apple TV the combined systems works great and produces awesome Dolby Atmos audio with no discernible synch problems.  The combined group works fine.  However when I just want to listen to the Apple Music Radio App from Sonos the right stereo 300 keeps going off.  I’ve done trouble shooting suggested by Sonos support, but the right Era 300 keeps dropping.  If I set that speaker up as a solo unit the Apple radio app works fine and the lone speaker stays on and Dolby Atmos works. Is the problem due to some interference issue which I can resolve, or is there something defective with the particular speaker?  Ideas, comments, or suggestions please? Armando  

Hi, i’m using my Sonos Beam now already for a couple of years and since yesterday suddenly there is no sound coming from the Sonos. The Sonos works with airplay. I tried performing a soft reset on the Sonos and Samsung tv which helped for a couple of seconds and then it went off again. I also performed a hard reset on the Samsung TV and Sonos Beam but that did’t give any result. Furthermore I checked the settings (checked if anynet was on) and couldn’t find the issue. The tv and the Sonos are connected and when I try to install the Sonos on the tv the Sonos app says that it has been done successfully.  Do you have any idea how I should proceed with this?  thanks,

Only some functions work on my Samsung TV remote after installing my new Sonos Arc doundbar, Subwoofer (gen 3) and two Era 100.  I can control the volume, TV settings, start Netflix, Prime from the TV remote; however I cannot change channels or bring up the TV guide.Pls advise.Thx

Hi, for some reason my arc today has started to automatically reduce volume until it’s on mute. I’ve got a Sony TV and had the same set up for the past couple of years. Arc, Sub, two Ones at rear… Any ideas? Thanks
