My current setup is arc, sub mini + 2 one sl as surround. I already have a era 300, and thinking of ordering one more to use as surround to replace one sl’s.
However my tv is quite old and can only output dd 5.1. Is it still worth it to use era 300 as surround even though it cant output atmos? Or should I first upgrade tv to get atmos?

It’s a hard call, and depends more on you. If it were me, I’d stick with the Era 100s for surrounds, and not replace the TV yet, and stay with standard Dolby Digital. For me, there just isn’t enough Atmos content to make that extra stretch worth it. But it may be different for you.
