When playing Atmos through Arc volume on S One SL surrounds will sometimes be very loud.  It will almost sound like it is as loud and same sound that is coming out of Arc itself, then sharply cut back to a lower level surround only type sound. Any thoughts to start troubleshooting?The source is Netflix Away. Arc, Gen 3 Sub, 2 S One SL.Thank you,Scott  

Hi AllMy Sonos arc seems to go into mute and out randomly. It’s usually only for a minute or so but very annoying. And we’ve also had the volume go into full blast without any interference.Any tips? 

I have a Samsung Q75 UHD 4K TV I bought in 2017 for about $6000 so it’s a solid TV, set up with a Sonos Play Bar, Play 1 (left), Play 1 (right) surrounds, and the surround Sub. All these are in my living room for movie playback.Throughout the apartment are numerous Sonos speakers built into the ceiling but they run on their own and are not grouped with the TV. For 3 years I have had no issue with sound playback on any device. I would often run the Sonos TV setup at medium volume, and use the TV’s built in speaker volume to increase or decrease the overall sound depending on time of day, (I don’t like to disturb the neighbors in the apartments below mine and often can’t be bothered to go into my phone to play around with the volume). Since my system updated a couple of days ago, I have noticed that the TV output and the Sonos output are not quite synced. Hi all, I am wondering how i can obtain true dolby atmos  playback with the following setup(i have not bought these items yet, though doing my research to determine if i can achieve true dolby atmos with the following setup); TV: LG OLED65CXPTASOUNDBAR: Sonos Arc(+sub & SL1 rears)BLU-RAY PLAYER or PS5. Now, what i am unsure about is how do i connect the PS5 to my TV if the Sonos is connected to my eARC TV HDMI port. The only other port are standard HDMI’s so if the PS5 goes into a standard HDMI on the TV will it passthrough the full audio to the TV? Im pretty certain the PS5 has a bitstream option to passthrough the full audio quality to the TV but will i be able to get atmos output to the soundbar?  Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.   

Hi guys, i just mounted a Sonos Arc below my wall-mounted TV and the top of the Arc is around 2.5 inches below the bottom of my TV. Does it matter how far below it is as I read in couple of forums that it should be at least 5 inches down but Sonos own site doesn’t have any such recommendation.

Hi all, looked at lots of the discussions but first time asking about my own system.I have recently started getting lots of interference or loss of speakers within home theatre set up (playbar, sub and 2 x play 1).  I two further play 1 in separate rooms but do appear to be affected with the issues.Nothing has been added or changed in the system set up in 4 years so assumed it network related and complained to provider who sent out a new router, only to find i have the same issues, albeit they now appear to be getting more repetitive.I followed lots of the guidelines suggested on here, rebooted, reset each speaker and connected playbar to router. Initial set up appears to work and I'm able to retune with true play. Within a few minutes the sound to sub and play 1 disappear but still show as part of the system in the app, when I reboot same speakers they appear as ? on the app so back to where I started. My C7 LG OLED played Atmos from Netflix fine on a Sennheiser Ambeo soundbar. I’ve now swapped for an Arc (as it’s lower profile) and now Netflix will only play 5.1. This perplexes me, as clearly the TV and app can output Atmos.Any thought, anyone?

So i’ve had a couple of instances where I would turn on my Sony TV which I have hooked up optical to my playbase and it simply wouldnt work...no sound no nothing.  I would have to reset the tv sound to TV speakers.  After a couple of days I could reset it back to audio out “fixed” and it would work fine.  I could use the comcast remote or the sony remote to control the volume that output to the playbase.   Now this last time the sound went out for no good reason when I reset it I get two problems.  Either I can have the sound set at fixed and then none of the remotes change the volume or I have to have both the tv speakers and the playbase volume on and I get a huge echo….please help…otherwise I have a huge paperweight connected to this TV!!

I have a new Beam + 2 x One SL surrounds connected to ARC (HDMI1) on the TV and an Apple TV on HDMI2.  Setup nicely and playing fine until I decide to play music on my other SONOS speakers being a Move and a One.  I have the Move and One grouped together playing music and connect the Beam and surrounds to the same music group.  This all works fine until I later decide to turn the TV on after I stop the music.  The ARC control seems to disappear and I hear sound from both the TV and the Beam simultaneously.  If I attempt to adjust volume on the Apple TV, I get a message from Apple TV that remote control is not setup ???  The only solution I have found so far is to power the TV on and off to reset the ARC connection.  This is repeatable, ARC control seems to disappear after having the Beam join my other speakers to play music.  I’ve done this 3 times, each time I had to power the TV on and off to reset the ARC. Manually disconnecting the cables doesn’t achieve anything.  Can this be fixe

I have a Sony Master’s Series XBR-65A9G TV running Android TV version 9.  It is connected to a Sonos Arc (with 2 Sonos one SL speakers for surround).The Arc is connected to the TV via an eARC port and everything seems to work well most of the time.  I have verified that yes, I can get Dolby Atmos sound from Nexflix so things appear sane.My issue is… every now and then when I switch to the android streaming app (from my TV/cable box)… the sound cuts out.  Silence.  The only way I can get it to work again is to power cycle the TV.  I manually switch the Arc to use the TV input just to be sure… still silence.  Note that if I switch back to the TV/cable HDMI on the TV the sound works fine.  I suspect this is a TV issue and not a Sonos issue but I was curious if anyone else has seen this issue?? HDMI eARC port is set to “standard” format.  Seems to happen no matter if this is set to enhanced format or not. 

Have many Sonos products and love them especially my Arc. The issue I am having is my TV has limited HDMI ports especially those that are 2.1 certified. I think Sonos would sell a ton of high end hdmi switch that could connect to the arc through the e-ARC port. I have considered switching to a regular receiver and audio setup just because receivers accommodate many more hdmi inputs than most TVs.  Cheers, BG

I know this has been raised as a HDMI ARC problem but no, the issue is design. I want to occasionally listen to my tv via AirPods but Beam requires me to ‘physically unplug’ HDMI. Very 2011. Software update this please - keep internet, keep power, keep Alexa etc but toggle input off. If not give us a simple on off button.

Siete soddisfatti?Io prima possedevo un sistema Onkyo 5.1, ma non ne potevo più di combattere con i fili che mi passavano lungo tutto il soggiorno e ho deciso di passare a qualcosa di meno ingombrante, ma sinceramente sto ancora cercando di capire come rendere l’ambiente sonoro veramente soddisfacente...

Okay I can’t figure out what the issue is. When I play Jack Ryan in prime video on my Samsung tv it shows the AD logo and in my Sonos app displays the Audio in as Atmos Dolby (DD+) under “about my system”.When I play any other movies or serials in prime video with the AD logo showed, my Sonos display audio in only as Dolby Digital plus 5.1. The same problem occurs in Netflix and Disney+. the atmos logo is displayed but Sonos only gets Dolby Digital plus 5.1 audio in.Apparently I am only able to play Jack Rayan in Dolby atmos. Why??? ps. Netflix is premium subscription!!!   

I have recently added a beam, 2 ones and a sub to my living room and am very very impressed.  I have a dedicated home theatre in a garage conversion with M&K speakers and SVS subs, so I know what a good system sounds like.  I would say for those that don’t want/can’t have a dedicated room the Sonos gets you close enough without having a large speakers everywhere. My first thought was it would be good for Sonos to allow dual subs to the setup which I see they have now added in recent days. The other was a dedicated surround receiver for 5.1 and above.  This would allow you to connect 5 ones or fives for all channels, could also support proper atoms with in ceilings or ones mounted up there.  

Hey guys,Im about to get a hold of an Arc as well. Can I use my two Play:5 (gen 2) as surround speakers? They are compatible with S2 so I’m pretty sure they’re gen2.  thx in advance!

I am only getting Dolby 5.1 multichannel pm on new arc and new 85 inch samsung q90 with ears. What am I doing wrong

I’m trying to get DTS-HD MA streams transcoded to LPCM for my Sonos ARC but all I get are DD or DD+ transcodes which are lossy codecs, unlike the original MA streams. Also, DTS encoded movies with 7.1 channels get bumped down to 5.1, again in DD or DD+.Any way to troubleshoot this? I think PMS and the different players can both transcode and with PMS you can hardcode an XML profile to force it to transcode stuff in LPCM properly right?I got a TCL 635 Roku TV, Shield Pro 2019, and ATV4K. Sonos Arc too.

Will there be future support or should I get rid of it?

After not being able to solve the massive sound delay between ps4->lgc9->playbase and the new ps5 not having a optical out to bypass the problem i have one question: Will ps5->C9->sonos arc via earc have zero sound dealy when playing dolby 5.1/atmos? I am willing to pay 800€ again for a system outdated today but i only use it fo gaming so thats crucial for me

Just bought a full home theater system (Arc, Sub, One sl), very excited for it to arrive, well just got it, installed it, working fine for music.  Got it connected to my Sony oled 55-a8f.  Connected it directly to arc input (the configuration was very dificult, (arc kept saying that another device was interfering with arc system and couldn’t get it to work from TV.  Tried disconnecting all devices from TV and connected just the arc, that worked.  Connected everything back and everything was working fine until I turned off the TV, once I turned it back on Arc got disconnected from TV.  Had to configure it again(remove all devices connected) and reconnect Arc.  Same thing keeps repeating.  I researched online and found out that I am not the only one, tried connecting with the optical adapter and everything seems to work fine now but what about Dolby Atmos??  This was the reason for me to buy this system in the first place.  Is there any update or anything that can be done so that I can c

I set up my new Beam with older Hisense TV connecting with the optical adapter. no problem setting up but after a few minutes sound starts to cut out (prob 1). Next when I add 2 play 1 speakers for surround I lose connection to TV (prob 2) and when I try to reconnect it I get "no signal detected" (prob 3). I've reset and reinstalled multiple times with same results. I've replaced every cable and same results. Any ideas?
